《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Naive

I groaned as I woke up. Although most of the pain was gone, I still felt really sore from my muscles shaking. I looked around the room to see that I was in the medical wing of the compound. Tony was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, but when he heard my groan, he looked up.
My eyes opened and connected with his before he pushed off the wall.
"FRIDAY, let Loki know that she's awake." He called to the A.I.
"Certainly." The polite A.I. replied.
"Where-" my voice was still shot. I could barely make out my own words.
"Loki went to grab you food and water for when you woke up." Tony explained, walking over to me. "He blames me, which... ya, I guess that's pretty accurate." He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"What happened?" I asked and forced myself to sit up more. Tony saw and rushed to my side to help.
"After you passed out, Loki killed the general. It was... a gruesome sight." Tony explained. "Almost killed us, too."
"Mmm..." I hummed to acknowledge I was listening.
"We were able to talk him down, thankfully. And, the UN counted it justified, so Loki is off the hook, according to the Accords." Tony said, pausing for a moment. "It's the next morning. I got the device out of you. The bastards infused it with your blood when they attached it. You wouldn't have been able to teleport it off, even if you tried..."
"Smart." I croaked out. Tony nodded absentmindedly before looking at me.
"I'm sorry, I froze the first time." He apologized. "Accords or no, I should have stopped him immediately."
"I'm ok now." I sighed out, not really wanting to talk about that.
"Well, mostly." Tony told me. "Loki couldn't heal you all the way until you woke up." He explained. I nodded before remembering something.
"You still think the accords are the right track?" I asked. "After everything they just put me through?"
"The general was out of line." Tony explained. "All a hundred and seventeen countries thought so. That doesn't mean that the accords are wrong."
"Wow, for a genius, you're pretty naive." I laughed humorously and shook my head.

"We need to be governed," Tony said, "or we're no better than the general."
I was about to argue, but Loki appeared next to my bed, with a tray of food. He set the tray down on my bedside table and turned to me, looking me over.
"Finally, you're awake." Loki sighed and bent down to kiss my forehead.
"Heard you got your hands on the general." I chuckled.
"I did enjoy making his last moments hel." Loki smirked and handed me a glass of hot tea with honey. "For your voice." He told me. "I'll heal you the rest of the way once you've eaten. Need to get your energy back up, first."
"Thanks." I smiled back and took a sip of the tea.
"All I need is to get my hands on that psychologist, next." Loki grumbled. I chuckled at him and moved over, so he could lay with me.
"Ya, who was that?" Tony asked me. "I've looked, he's not in any of our systems."
"He's not a psychologist." I told him. "I can't tell you much, but I will say that I was the one who failed to save his family." I explained as Loki climbed into the bed and wrapped an arm around me. I instantly felt better.
"How?" Tony questioned.
"Sokovia." I said, not elaborating.
"Sokovia was not your fault, Kitten." Loki told me, rubbing his fingers up and down my arm.
"I know you're right, but," I shrugged, "I thought I got them out, I thought they were safe. I didn't even think about the smoke and debris in the air. I failed them... I failed him." I said, talking about Zemo. I never wanted his little boy to die.
"You did everything you could." Tony told me, dismissing my guilt. "Just another reason we need the accords."
"I'm not-" I sighed and shook my head, "I don't want to talk about the accords anymore." I said before changing the subject. "Have you already gone to talk to Peter?" I asked Tony. Tony shook his head. His hands were stuffed in his pockets and he watched the slow steps he took forward.
"Figured you'd want to come with, and... I kinda owe you, so-" he told me.

"Can we go after I eat? I'm sure you don't have that much time until going after Steve."
"We'll see." Loki answered for Tony. "Let's wait until after you're healed to make a decision."
So, I ate my food and drank my tea. I was excited to finally meet Peter as me, not a high school biology teacher, but as an Avenger. Loki healed me, as promised, but insisted I took a small nap before leaving for Peter's. He was going to be at school for another few hours anyway, so I agreed.
An hour and a half later, I woke up feeling much better. I didn't know if it was because of Loki's magic, or if I was just that excited, but I couldn't wait to go see Peter. Loki decided he was going to treat me like glass all day, which was fine. I didn't plan to fight in the upcoming battle between Tony and Steve. I was practically dancing in my seat as we drove to Peter's apartment.
"Is he going to be mad you lied to him?" Tony asked me curiously. I thought about it for a second, but dismissed the thought.
"No, he's not the type." I explained. I knew Peter wasn't an angry person. He would understand why I lied.
When we turned into the apartment building, I couldn't get out fast enough. I was wearing my facial scrambler, so I wouldn't freak May out. I also wanted to feel like one of those villains from Scooby-Doo, the ones that took their masks off and everyone sat there in shock at who was underneath.
I knocked on the apartment door with Tony and Loki behind me. Loki was also in his disguise, for now. Peter would be home in about twenty minutes, giving Tony time to explain the 'internship' program to May. He was going to tell her that he had selected Peter to get a full internship. He'd then ask permission to take Peter on a trip for a few days for said internship, but he'd really be taking him to Germany.
I heard the lock click open before the door followed and May stood in the doorway with a smile.
"Sarah!" May smiled and wrapped me in a hug. "What are you doing here? Peter said you and Liam took off work. Are you ok?" She asked and pulled back, worry hidden on her face.
"I'm fine, May. I've just been busy with my second job." I told her and moved aside. "May, this is Tony Stark." I introduced. "Tony, this is May, Peter's beautiful Aunt."
May blinked in surprise as she registered who was in front of her.
"Mrs. Parker, it's great to finally meet you. I've heard a lot about you and your nephew." Tony said, putting out his hand to shake. May slowly took his outstretched hand, trying to shake off the shock. "Can we come in? I have something I'd like to talk with you about."
"Of- of course! Yes, come in!" May rushed out and opened the door wider for us.
"Hello, May." Loki smiled kindly at the woman who nodded in greeting.
"Is this about Peter?" May asked, still a bit worried.
"Uhm, let's sit down, ok?" I said, taking a seat in a chair while she and Tony took the couch.
Tony explained the internship and that Peter came highly recommended for the position. He told her how, if he kept his grades up, he could get into any college he wanted with a Stark internship on his applications. May was ecstatic. In her mind, Peter had finally gotten the recognition he deserved. Tony was seriously one smooth talker. He could talk his way into, or out of, anything.
"Sarah, I didn't know you knew Tony Stark." May said, turning to me.
"Well, who do you think got her the job at Midtown?" Tony asked. May glanced at Tony before looking at me again.
"Really?" She sounded amazed. "And, you told him about Peter?" May asked and held a hand to her chest.
"Of course I did," I chuckled, "Peter is a brilliant boy. He just needs a little guidance and he'll be unstoppable." I smiled genuinely and took one of her hands to give a gentle squeeze.
"Thank you."
