《Remember | Tokyo revengers》「53」- Resolution

- A couple of months ago...

Somewhere in the world, the young adult [Y/n] was looking outside the window of the moving bus she got in just several minutes ago. She was once again thinking about the things that happened in her life, from start to the current day.

The start is how carefree she once laughed and smiled while joking or playing around with her friends, but her smile that was bright slowly changed and she gradually lost her shine due to the tragic events that suddenly occurred.

Specifically due to how many loved ones she lost from either accidents or murders.

First was her parents who died in a car accident. Second was her grandmother who still met her end because of her illness and old age, but the girl was still happy since she at least managed to extend the lovely old woman's life.

Third was her grandfather who got stabbed and died due to blood loss as he was trying to help a woman from getting robbed.

Fourth was Draken. Sixth was Kazutora. Seventh and Eight who died at the same time were Emma and Shinichiro...and so on and on until she found herself all left alone in world.

Due to being severely depressed, the 26 year old [Y/n] finally decided to end her life in hopes to meet her family and friends once again, and that did happen.

The first thing that greeted her as soon as she opened her eyes were her friends. Mikey, Keisuke, Haruchiyo, and Senju.

She's indeed happy at the sight of them but she's perplexed at the same time as they looked so young and little...

Thinking that she miraculously went back through time, tears couldn't help but to flow out of [Y/n]'s eyes. Now that she's given another chance, she'll of course do things much better.

She even discovered during this time that she's still alive in the real world, and that she can go in and out, change worlds. By doing so, she'll be asleep in one world while awake in the other.

She had never felt so much joy and bliss in her entire life for being gifted such wonderful blessings.

She's truly happy and filled with utter bliss for having the opportunity to be able to hang out with her favorite anime characters, not to mention see her grandparents, her father, see her family complete again that the light in her eyes also came back because of those reasons.

It was truly magical and hard to believe, but it is indeed real...

But how come that vanished again in such a flash once more?

She failed, but how come? She really tried hard to change their stories and tragic fates from repeating! The only person she's not able to save was her grandma.

She can live and accept that but why can't she stop the others from getting murdered?

And so, history repeats itself. [Y/n] killed herself once again.

She hoped and wished desperately for any god out there to heed her wish to have another chance because she'll really do extra better this time...

Until it went on, and on, and on that she started to become angry at herself for always failing, but she was also confused at the same time.

The girl has even come to a time where she's started to show her regrets in making those wishes and called them stupid, but after some thinking, she got back on her feet and decided to take responsibility and face again.

But then she realized something, maybe the reason for her indefinite failures were because she was being punished for being greedy or that she shouldn't have involved herself with Takemichi or any characters in the story and their affairs.

She thought that the only gift from the gods was being able to happily live with her whole family, live in the same world and interact with Mikey and the others, but not do anything like changing or twisting the original storyline.

That be it.

That's how the past [Y/n] came up with that kind of conclusion that as soon as she regressed once again, she minded her own business and pretended to be ignorant or oblivious to many things that's happening around Takemichi, Mikey, Toman, everything that she found it even difficult being friends with them as she was always consumed by her guilt whenever facing one of them.

She did those cruel things and yet the ending still played out. They all died and left her all alone in that world again.

She cried her heart out under the dark sky that felt like it was joining her. She was yelling at the moon on the top of her lungs while throwing a couple of profanities towards it as her voice even started to become hoarse from all the shouting she's been doing.

Being completely exhausted and drained of the second world, [Y/n] returned to the original one and tried her best or refused to fall asleep for days...

It only resulted in her being sent to the hospital and worrying her mother and Akio. In the end, she still fell asleep and woke up to the other world, back to the beginning once more.

It drove her mad. She was to the point where she's hanging on the loose and thin strands of her remaining sanity, and being in that state, weak and vulnerable, Hatsumi took advantage of that.

That cruel girl found great pleasure when [Y/n] would cling to her and be quite obsessive towards her at times.

Sadly, the [h/c] didn't notice anything unusual as she only focused on the fact that there'd always be one person who'd be last standing or remain by her side whenever everyone else, namely her family and her friends, had her.

Because of her idiotic actions, she'd foolishly believe everything what Hatsumi would say.

Kisaki's the culprit on why everyone kept on dying and the reason for her miserable state? She'd have to deal with that bastard herself and get everything back to normal, but why didn't that work?

Oh, it wasn't just him but also Rikka? They were working all this time and backstabbing her? That traitorous bitch will also get it, of course.

But how come that also didn't work and everyone died again?

So there were three? Kisaki, Rikka, and Masashi?

And after quite some time, [Y/n] finally learned the truth. Takemichi was the one who managed to deliver the truth to her before falling limp and dying in her arms.

The blonde boy told her that the brunette was simply using Kisaki, Rikka, and Masashi to help her more with the feeling of betrayal.

And that vile woman was getting rid of or eliminating their friends whenever they'd find out the truth and have the chance to inform her of how truly wicked Hatsumi really is.

[Y/n], of course, refused that and thought maybe there was a misunderstanding, but then again after weeks had passed ever since her blonde friend's funeral, she locked herself inside her house and tried her best to connect all the dots for days.

Hatsumi Ishimoto, the person who she thought was a real and trustworthy , is the real culprit all along. [Y/n] doesn't understand why and how shecould do such horrible things to her.

But after some thinking, she decided that no matter the reason, there's just no way she'd ever forgive such Hatsumi. She tormented her over and over, caused her trauma, pain, and endless suffering as if that crazy girl was aiming to her.

Her betrayal is unforgivable, but she should at least give her a reward for being such an , right?

[Y/n] rakes a hand through her hair as she continues to focus her sharp and icy gaze outside the window. "Since Hatsumi remembers the timelines, she's become extra meticulous and calculative of her moves." She let out a sigh.

'Not to mention that she's become an even bigger pain in the ass.' She thought, eyes being filled with disdain. 'Both Her and Masashi...mostly her of course.' She lowers her head a little to open the book that's sitting on her lap. Tokyo Revengers, volume 19.

'I must say that I am indeed curious as to how she managed to have the ability to remember the previous timelines as the others only have bits,' She let out a small hum. 'But that doesn't really matter now as my main priority is to put an end to that evil witch along with her wicked schemes to bring everything back to normal.'

Her expression became grim but it disappeared when she turned her head and saw a little girl staring at her with big innocent sparkling eyes that held clear admiration.

[Y/n] puts a kind smile on her face which causes the child to whisper at her mom about the beautiful lady sitting on the other side of the bus but in the same row as them in a cheerful manner.

The female returns back to reading as she flipped a page over. 'I've always wondered...' She starts to get consumed by her thoughts again when she sees a panel of Takemichi's beaten up state but still firmly standing with that determined gaze of his in front of Izana who's wearing his Tenjiku uniform.

'What would've my life been right now if I hadn't followed that butterfly that day.' The image of the mesmerizing blue butterfly comes to mind. 'Maybe still the same here but without that much trauma and pain...'

She couldn't help but to let out a soft chuckle that sounded a bit bitter while she leaned her head against the window.

'Things would've been much better if I just stayed still and didn't try to change or twist the story in the beginning and let it unfold on its own.' A sigh comes out of her mouth.

"Because I know that Takemichi will succeed in the end even without my interference or help." She murmured, lips turning up ever so slightly to show a smile that's on her face that's faint but just as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared just as fast when she imagined several scenarios of herself acting oblivious to a lot of things.

'That's right, things would've been better if I didn't do anything. There wouldn't be a bitch Hatsumi and a trashy Masashi...' Her mind went silent for a second.

"And I've already tried living like an ignorant person. That didn't turn out well and I still feel extremely guilty about that." She takes a deep breath as she finds herself having a small headache at the things that her mind's coming up with before having a melancholic expression on her face.

"And maybe things would've been much better if I didn't exist at all." After whispering those words about herself, her eyes caught a glimpse of the speeding car that's heading towards the vehicle that she's currently riding along with a couple of passengers.

[Y/n] was about to stand up and warn the bus driver, but she was too late. Just like everyone in the bus, she, too, felt her own body being lifted in the air and went to the other side of the bus in a harsh, aggressive, and painful manner.

Time felt slow for her after that small vehicle strongly collided with the bus causing it to violently shake and slowly turn over. It caused her to hit her head and have her vision get dark as she got knocked out.

Being woken up by the muffled sounds of crying, screams and shouts with her ears ringing, the [h/c] woman slowly opened her eyes that were blurry for about a few seconds and when it cleared, so did her hearing.

She tried to move her but felt unable to do so, and not to mention that her body hurt all over, especially the ache in her heart and head which she felt light.

She looked unfaced about her situation as her eyes scanned the place. The bus was now laying sideways and there were some people trying to get inside, no doubt trying to help the victims from the tragic accident.

'Is this really my end?' Was something that first went inside her head. 'When I die in that world I go back to where I started and repeat my actions, but in this world...' She closed her eyes for a short moment.

'I'll really die for real. No more second or third chances...' Her lips parted a little. 'Wouldn't that mean that my suffering will also end, and I won't feel any more pain since I'm completely dead?'

She blinked her eyes as hundreds of memories of her excruciating days flashed through her mind.

'No more pain, no more suffering, and...' Her mother and little brother's faces come to mind this time. "No more being a burden to anyone." She whispered so quietly as she saw someone stop and crouch down in front of her.

"Hang in there, kid!" A man's voice shouts to her before she hears him calling for someone to assist him in carrying her and bringing her outside.

'Hang in there? That's what I've been doing for a long time and I've become tired of doing that.' She wanted to say those words as a remark to the man who has started to gently pick up her body while someone assists him in putting her on his back.

'I've been wishing for everything to be over now because living is just so tiring, especially when you're just a useless human in both worlds.' Upon getting out of the bus through one of the windows, the man and the girl both felt the cold water drops from the sky hit and crash onto their bodies.

'If I were to die finally today, wouldn't that mean I'll be free from everything?' When [Y/n] blinked her eyes, she saw her friends' faces this time and heard their voices calling out to her name.

'Ah, that's right. I told myself earlier while waiting for the bus to arrive that as soon as I get home, I'll head straight to bed and sleep since it's time for me to wake up to the other world because I'll be meeting up with them to hang out...'

She snaps out of her dazed state when her eyes catch sight of the red and blue lights coming from both the ambulance and police cars. She even saw the mother and daughter from earlier.

They aren't okay since they're both bloody but they do seem alive. It made her feel relieved as she started to think of her mother and brother next.

'I won't be able to see mom, Akio or among them again...except for dad, grandma, and grandpa...but I'm not even sure if I'll be able to go to heaven as well...' She slowly closed her eyes as sleep felt like getting the best of her.

'Sorry, Takemichi. I'm breaking another promise...but I know you'll be okay since you have Hina by your side...Chifuyu, Naoto from the future, and everyone in Toman.' Her lips turned upwards as a gentle smile adorned her bleeding state.

'Yeah, you'll be okay.'

Everyone's voices start to become muffled for her to hear or even comprehend but she knows that she'll be taken to the hospital now as the man that carried her has now set her down on the bed stretcher that came out of the emergency vehicle.

'I believe in you, hero.' Her smile widened and reached her sleepy eyes while the paramedic beside her inside the moving ambulance shouts for his friend to drive even faster.

[Y/n] recalls the time of how her eyes would always lit up whenever she'd see her little brother and get to experience holding his tiny body as he's a newborn baby once again.

Even though she's witnessed the scene numerous times already, it just doesn't seem to fail in bringing tears to her eyes that would look sorrowful because just as much as she's happy or ecstatic to see her brother, she's also filled with guilt and pain.

She couldn't help but be always reminded, despite the heartwarming moment, that she not only failed to protect her precious brother, but also her whole family and friends in the previous timeline over again.

It'd always come crashing down to her of how overwhelming everything, and how heavy the burden on her shoulders were that she's come to truly empathize or understand the original Takemichi's situation.

But despite all of those, [Y/n] has used the blonde boy as an inspiration. Her, the Takemichi that's not far different from the original she's read, have still decided to fight no matter how big and heavy the burden they're both carrying.

The reason is because they know what they're fighting for as they both have their strength and will coming from the people they love and cherish.

That's their sole reason for why they haven't given up til' day.

'As I thought, I still don't want to die yet.' [e/c] were seen and the paramedic or the man felt relief to see the patient's firm gaze. "Don't worry, kid. You'll be okay." He says with a kind smile resulting in the girl to lightly nod her head in response.

[Y/n] felt warm as she let her eyes close. 'I want to keep my promise to everyone.' The loud siren coming from the vehicle little by little died out from her ears until she couldn't hear anything as everything went silent for a moment.

'I have to finish what I started first.' Upon opening her eyes, she was greeted by the familiar ceiling of her own room and as she got up on her bed, she winced in pain before collapsing on the floor with a loud thud.

Huffing and panting came from her as blood dribbled down her nose to the floor. Despite feeling immense pain all throughout her body, [Y/n], whose body is now of a young teenager's, had determination sparkling in her [e/c].

It would seem that her resolve has thickened or strengthened.

Blood now comes out of her mouth as she starts to violently cough red liquid several more times while she sees the door of her room swing open.

The last thing she heard before darkness consumed her once again was her mother's scream and the quick footsteps that stopped when it reached her room.

'Only then can I really die.'
