《Duplicity | E. Jaeger/J. Kirstein》° 018

The panicked look in both yours and Eren's eyes was apparent in the way that neither of you were ready to find out who it was behind the door. Maybe you would've been able to tell if the music wasn't so loud and the alcohol wasn't making you so foggy, but it was a chance neither of you were sure you wanted to take. Another sharp knock causes you to jump— apprehensively gripping onto Eren's hand out of nervousness.
"Guys, it's me..."
You're able to recognize the soft toned voice now that you've focused in on, despite the slight slur that accompanies it. Eren recognizes it too as he grabs the door handle to let the person who stands outside, in. A head full of blonde appears with an uncomfortable grimace on his pretty face, before shutting the door with his foot behind him.
"Can't believe you two locked me out of my own room." He complains with a teasing smile.
"Didn't know it was you, thought it was—"
"Jean?"
Armin's voice finishes your sentence for you, a playful lilt to his voice as his eyes light up. "He left... Connie got pretty wasted, so he took him home before anything bad happened."
Your brow cocks in suspicion as Armin fills you in on Jean's whereabouts; you found it hard to believe that he would leave you behind so willingly, but then again, Armin was no stranger to masterful persuasion.
"I told him not to worry, that I'd take good care of you." He smiles sweetly— first at you, then back at Eren. The two of them exchange glances, a silent conversation that only the two of them seem to understand, before Armin finally speaks up once more.
"After everyone leaves, I wanna show you something, y/n."
"Show me... what, exactly?"
Your tone is weary— half curious and half apprehensive, especially since you're more than well aware that Armin almost always has something up his sleeve.
"It's a surprise." He says, baring his pearly whites with a sinful smile, on his otherwise angelic face. "What do you think, Eren?"
He ponders for a moment, the gentle warmth of your hand still rested within his own helps him to reach a decision— even if you're upset at each other right now, doesn't mean he can't do something special for you. After all, if he wants you to make your own decision a little easier, he thinks this will certainly do the trick.
"Yeah, let's do it."
About an hour or so later, mostly spent with you making small talk with some of Eren's friends who you surprisingly got along well with, the party began to clear out slowly until it was just the three of you left in Armin's home.
After feeding yourself copious amounts of water, you managed to sober up just a tad, to the point you were able to reflect on the actions that took place earlier this evening. The kiss on the porch with jean, the kiss with Eren in front of Jean... and the argument you just had on the middle of Armin's room after that torturous game of 'never have I ever'

Nothing made sense anymore— you felt guilty, yet invigorated all at the same time; you went from wanting to apologize to Jean for giving your self away, to wanting to apologize to Eren for not giving him enough.
"You ready?"
Eren's voice breaks you out of your thought provoked trance, holding out a large jacket— presumably one of his— and handing it to you. Just before grasping it, you looked at him perplexingly, wondering just exactly what the mischievous pair had up their sleeves.
"Take it, it's cold outside. You'll need to double up." He reassures you, partially for his own benefit of seeing you engulfed in his jacket. He can't help but smile when you shrug it onto your shoulders, wrapping yourself up within the warm fabric.
It smells like him; a mixture of rosemary-mint shampoo and the intoxicating scent of his favorite cologne that warms you from the inside out.
"Where are we going?"
You ask hesitantly, frowning when you don't receive a verbal response, just a nod of Eren's head that tells you to follow them.
Soon enough, you're traipsing through Armin's back yard, beyond the gate that protects his home and through a densely wooded area. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea... they could be taking you out here to murder you, for all you know— still, you forge on, following loosely behind.
"Come on, y/n!"
Armin chuckles from the front of the line, holding his hand out as he glanced back at you from over his shoulder, waiting for you to grab onto it. You smile warily, placing your fingertips into his soft, tepid palm. The heat radiating from his skin sent your body aflame, his touch was like paradise— pure euphoria in such a slender frame.
"Almost there."
Eren coos from behind, sizable palms reaching around to shield your eyes from whatever they were about to show you.
"No peeking."
Blindly, you allow them to lead you to your destination, against your better judgment.
"I'm gonna run into something!" you protest now that your vision was taken from you, but Armin quickly squeezes your hand, reassuring you that you were safe with the two of them.
"Don't worry, we won't let anything happen to you."
Although you can't see it, you can tell there was a subtle grin residing on his pretty lips by the saccharine lilt of his voice.
The scent of fresh river water suddenly filled your senses, the loud chirping of the evening crickets tickle your ears as you draw deeper into the marsh. Your ankles graze along the brush as you continued to trudge forward— Eren's large, muscular body pressed firmly up against yours as he leads you towards your destination.
The two of you suddenly came to a halt, his fingertips tickling your cheeks as he slides his hands away from your over eyelids; they flutter open, the breath almost escaping from your lungs once you took in the ethereal sight before you.

It truly was breathtaking, in every sense of the word.
You gaze out into the moonlit river, a single willow tree swayed in the breeze— it's long, wispy limbs flowing about with each push and pull of the midnight's air. Every single branch was beautifully adorned with fireflies, like a decorative Christmas tree at the height of winter's holiday.
Armin stood out in front of you, his luminescent skin glimmered against the pale moonlight— widened, sapphire eyes seemed to glow even brighter in this instance. He's truly a masterpiece; a wonderful sight to behold... and so is Eren, who's broad frame casts a shadow amidst the dimly lit atmosphere as he lazily leans over your shoulder from behind.
You can feel soft tuffs of breath against the skin of your neck in rhythm with the rise and fall of his chest that's still pressed so closely against your back. It sends a tingle throughout your body, your senses already heightened by a combination of factors— none of which could match this overwhelming feeling of elation you felt in this very instance.
"Isn't it beautiful, y/n?"
Armin seemed almost hypnotized by the picturesque landscape displayed before him. You could tell by both his and Eren's expressions that this exact spot must mean an awful lot to the two of them— especially with the way they gaze in awe at the blessing that Mother Nature has so willfully granted.
Eren steps out from behind you, smiling from over his shoulder before taking a seat against the soft grass, patting the empty space beside him. You happily obliged— crouching down, sitting crisscross beside him while Armin soon followed suit, taking a spot next to you.
Leaning back onto his elbows for support, Eren's long brown hair brushed lucidly over his shoulders, turning his head to face you. His normally intensive features became so soft, more so than you've ever witnessed from him before. He didn't say a single word for the briefest of moments, before fully committing himself to the plush grass beneath him, laying his head against it as his hair pools around him like a crown.
Reciprocating his actions, Armin lets out a careful sigh as his body rests within the confines of nature... and well, not wanting to be the odd man out, you do the same.
The ground feels cool to the touch, even with all the warm layer of clothing you've got on— the crisp breeze causes the three of you to huddle closely together as you stare off into the early morning's darkened skyline.
"So beautiful."
You hear Eren mutter from underneath his breath, and you can't help but to agree— the stars twinkle brightly above you, surround the moon that serves as a beacon for the three of you to find your own little slice of heaven.
"It is— the stars are stunning tonight."
You hum in response.
His nose brushes against your cheek as he breathes you in, before softly speaking into the shell of your ear.
"Wasn't talking about the sky, pretty."
Your skin tingles at the low reverberation of his voice, soon turning to face his direction to find the prettiest pair of jade green eyes that you've ever been blessed to gander upon.
The close proximity allows his lips to hover just millimeters away from yours— so close that you can practically feel the heat radiating off of them.
"Kiss me."
He commands it, but the desire was already there long before the words even left his lips.
Without a moments hesitation, you press forward, your mouths moving in tandem as you offer delicate kisses to the soft plush. This kiss is much different than any you've shared this far— it's gentle, lazy yet passionate, as his tongue deftly teases your own.
What else is different, is the other pair of lips that have some how found their way against the crook of your neck— pressing the most honeyed of kisses against your divine skin, eliciting a gasp when you feel Armin apply the slightest bit of pressure between his teeth.
You break away for a moment from Eren to admire the beauty that is Armin Arlert. He can feel your eyes on him, ever so lithely does he stop to gaze back at you, just before stealing his own taste of your perfectly glacé lips. Armin's kiss is tender, but calculated— he sets a smooth rhythm with the tip of his tongue that leaves you breathless.
Eren's strong grip on your thigh reminds you of his presence; he may not mind sharing moments like this with his best friend, but he still wants you to focus on him.
You're enjoying this little game of trade, as your lips find Eren's once more. He gives you what you're more acquainted with this time— a powerful, fervent kiss— one where he places his hand around your throat and squeezes ever so slightly, the metal of his piercing clicking against your teeth as his tongue dives deeper.
Armin's presence is erased for a brief moment... that is, until you feel nimble fingers start to tug at the button of your jeans. Your eyes can't help but to peek at the sudden action, finding a lustful Armin staring up at you, doe-eyed and pleading.

Spirits, or what people usually referred to as ghosts, are something that has always been with us since ancient times. Some people are gifted to see them. However, most of us can’t see them without training. And without seeing them, we won’t believe. People only believe what they see, after all. However, I assure you, spirits are real. Spirits are always there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Just like people of ancient ages who can’t see bacteria or those who can’t see stars further than eyes can see, there are limits to our technology. Similarly, even though the current technology can’t prove the existence of supernatural beings, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. In the future, if we can develop technology so everyone can see them just like how a microscope helps us seeing micro beings, I believe everyone will believe it too. That being said, I still can’t prove their existence yet. -Raleigh Von Vlad Update daily (if possible, if not, guaranteed chapters are on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) Thanks to gej302 for the fantastic cover!

8 207The Discarded
The Umbrae Lunae existed before man, beautiful abominations birthed in the nightmares of mad gods. They wait for humanity to misstep, for the angels to look away. For the moment when they can cloak the world in moon shadows once again. But even horrors have children. Even nightmares must feed. One child, unlike the others, finds his way to a school for young abominations. Will he be a sheep cast before the wolves, or a terror that wears the skin of wool to entice the wolf close? The flesh of his body was his only coin, strips cut to pay debts that never ended. Everyone has scars, stories in a life led, lessons learned, and licks taken. Luminous bodies touched by darkness. There are a cursed few that are the opposite, black shadows consumed by scars, twisted minds devoured by diseased hungers, bodies tortured misshapen works of gouged flesh, silver lines of blade thin cuts, ragged tears of teeth and glass. For them, the scars are marks of homecoming, the mangled wasteland the only place they feel at peace. Hell is a place. It's made of concrete, steel and glass. It's the sounds of starving kids crying themselves to sleep, huddling into small balls as creepers come and take their due of innocence and tender meat. It's eating rotten food and carrying ticks in your hair. It’s having no one and nothing while surrounded by everything. It's the life of a street kid. What abomination was birthed in the corrupt womb of man’s cast-off shit? Pretty people don't know the power of ugly. They can't see the strength in a broken soul or the power in a calloused heart. Those secrets are for the discarded alone. Only the broken understand the grace of darkness. The blessed folds that hide scars and tears, the protection of its concealing umbra.
