《YANDERE HARRY POTTER ONESHOTS》PLATONIC YANDERE TOM RIDDLE X READER

Now, as we all know, Tom Riddle aka. Moldy voldy acts all emo and pretends like he's devoid of emotions and feelings and thinks they're an absolute waste of time. He's learnt early on that caring for someone would just get you nowhere and he's also become sort of a bully. A manipulative, charismatic charming bully who could make others do whatever he wanted with the power of his mere sweet talk, even as a kid. Tom was a rather odd kid, he barely showed any emotion and remorse for picking on the other kids in the orphanage. He'd steal their stuff and get sick pleasure and satisfaction from seeing them suffer. Good to know that he's developed his psychotic notions early on and yes, I say this with sarcasm

Then you were taken into the orphanage, in the care of Mrs. Cole and a few other adults in charge who seemed to love you with all their hearts. You were given your space in Tom's room because he was alone and he didn't have anyone else in his room. Mrs Cole thought he might be lonely but little did she know, he literally kicked Dennis Bishop, his old roommate out because he was starting to get far too annoying and dared to touch Tom's things. Despite Tom not having much in life, he despised it when someone touched the things that belonged to him. Especially Salazar Slytherin's locket. When he saw Dennis wearing it and then making fun of Tom for having less personal belongings than him, he became livid. Not by screaming and crying and throwing a tantrum like normal kids do, he just stared at him eerily for a few minutes with a grin on his face as he lit a match and 'accidentally' threw it at Dennis who ran out of the room crying and wailing about how he didn't want to stay in Tom's room anymore

Mrs Cole hoped Tom would be nice to you and informed you that he didn't like it when his things were touched. You nodded your head in agreement as you went inside the room. You saw a boy, a few years older than you reading a book and when his eyes fell on you, he set the book down and narrowed his eyes at you and demanded to know who you were before he would you throw you out. You fumbled on your words a little but you introduced yourself to him as he surveyed you with a piercing gaze, so intense and strong no ordinary child his age was supposed to have. Then he didn't even bother sparing you a second glance as he went back to his bed and began to read his book, completely ignoring your presence. You didn't know what to do, so you sat down on your bed and asked him what book he was reading. He thought he could ignore you but easier said than done, you always kept talking and talking and talking. Don't you know that you're supposed to be quiet when someone's reading? What happened to your basic manners?

However he surprised himself when he started conversing with you on his own, freely like water with ease. He didn't want to get close to you though, you'd be just like everyone else who's left him or would make fun of him for something. He found you annoying for a couple of days but he grew used to you and your presence soon. He actually found your presence rather comforting and endearing if he had to be honest. Of course, he'd rather die than admit that because feelings were only for pathetic weaklings, and there was no place in this world for pathetic weaklings who wear their hearts out on their sleeves in guise of being a so called hero. He saw you as someone weak and fragile, someone who needed protection and he often wondered how a naive trusting little thing like you survived for so long without him looking after you. He radiates the vibes of annoyed caretaker, he'll shake his head disapprovingly when you forget to hydrate yourself every one hour and is like your shadow who never seems to leave you alone

The other day you got bullied by some older guy who took your book and tore out the pages and made you cry. Tom seethed with fury and rage when he saw that, only HE was allowed to make you cry, not anyone else. He stomped over to the bully and literally shoved him to the ground and brutally kicked him in the ribs. Fortunately Mrs Cole wasn't around and later, he took the boy near the caves near the orphanage and traumatized him with whatever black magic he's already learnt at that age. The same goes for Dennis Bishop and Amy Benson when they dared to kiss your cheeks when it was your birthday. No one would ever get away witj corrupting your sweet innocent soul, not if he could help it

When Dumbledore paid a visit to the orphanage to see Tom, he's also heard about you from Mrs Cole who said he never seemed to leave you alone, it was like the two of you were inseparable friends, like two peas in a pod. The two of you were incomplete without each other and so Dumbledore decided to admit the two of you to Hogwarts. You both went to Diagon Alley together and he made sure you held his hand and stuck by him like glue wherever you both went. He was quite protective of you even on the Hogwarts Express as well and snarled at everyone who dared to sit next to you. By the time the train ride was complete, the two of you got to know about the rich history of Hogwarts and the history of the houses as well. You've heard all the rumors about Slytherin and frankly you didn't mind what house you'd be sorted into as long as you had your best friend by your side, Tom

It was soon time for the sorting to take place and when Tom was called, he was sorted into the Slytherin house and you in the Hufflepuff house much to your dismay. The entire dinner time you were looking at Tom who looked back at you reassuringly and after dinner was done, you said you hoped he wouldn't stop being friends with you just because the two of you were in separate houses now. He told you to stop talking nonsense and head to sleep because it was getting late in response. Yep, classic caring best friend Tom who threatens you to take care of yourself. If he wasn't possessive and creepily obsessed with you before, he most certainly was now. He didn't want anyone else replacing the position and bond the two of you shared with each other

The other day you were talking to some random Gryffindor guy about the homework assigned to you guys by professor Slughorn during Potions and when Tom saw you interacting with someone else other than him, he was livid. Just WHO in the name of MERLIN were you talking to? That vermin didn't deserve to even look at you much less have the audacity to speak with you. And as for you, you should know better than to interact with other people and forget all about your best friend. Your only friend. I can see Tom isolating you from everyone else by making sure you don't make a single friend during your time of being at Hogwarts, he's that manipulative and I seriously wouldn't put this past him

But he doesn't see what he's doing is wrong. In a strange way, he sees this as looking after you, because you're such a naive silly little thing according to him with your head always in the clouds and always too trusting. You should be thanking him that he's decided to make sure you're safe at all costs. He even has a gang of Slytherin friends or goons to track you down to make sure you're safe and still in one piece. He despises it when you talk to Hagrid, what does he have that your friend doesn't? Tom's willing to do whatever the hell it takes to make sure you'll always be with him. He knows he'll never be attracted to anyone romantically and there's no use and purpose for romantic attraction to anyone, but he realized that he needed you in his life. He'd be lost with no one to help him achieve his greatness, you're his inspiration and motivation to make sure he becomes the most feared and strongest wizard in the Wizarding World one fine day

His obsession for you spiraled out of control every single day. The connection the two of you had was something that was much more stronger than the mere feeling of love, it was the familiar sense of loneliness that connected the two of you in the first place when you stepped inside the orphanage for the first time. He loved you like someone whom he couldn't do without in life. You're his purpose in his life now and he'll never let you get away from him. Sometimes people aren't always what they seemed to be and you'll realize his obsessive tendencies towards you sooner rather than later...
