《Friends with the Frat》Bonus chapter~ C'est La Vie

"Mommy, I don't feel good." Not so little Pam said when she woke me up at three in the morning.
At least I didn't have to go to work today, but sadly Will did.
"What's wrong honey?" I asked her and put the back of my hand to her head. I don't think she had a fever but she was pretty warm.
"My tummy hurts" She whined. She didn't sound too good. She sounded sick.
"Well let's see what we can do about that" I said and got out of bed. I tried not to wake Will up as I did so.
He turned over and noticed I was gone. "What's wrong?" He asked groggily.
"Nothing babe, go back to sleep you have work tomorrow morning." I told him and kissed his head.
I picked up nine-year-old Pam and walked her to the kitchen and sat her on the counter. I turned on the light so I could see what she looked like.
Her face was pale and under eyes were purple. She looked exhausted. I doubt she slept very much.
I felt her head again and it seemed hotter. I took out the thermometer and took her temperature. It was 99.8. I poured her some medicine to reduce her fever.
"Did you throw up, Pam?" I asked her. She shook her head. "Tummy hurts?" She nodded. "Take this and go back to bed, okay? You'll feel batter when you wake up" I kissed her head and took her down to her room.
Ken was still sound asleep in her bed. I put Pam back in bed and kissed her head. I hoped she would go to sleep.
I went back to my room and got into bed.
"What happened?" Will asked and wrapped his arms around me.
"Pam said her stomach hurt and she had a low grade fever. I gave her some medicine and put her back in bed." I said.
He kissed my temple. "I would've done that. You just came back from a long shift." He told me.
I know it's been thirteen years, but my heart still swells and I get butterflies every time he does or says something so sweet.
"You have work tomorrow morning. You should go to bed." I told him.
"Goodnight snowflake" he whispered and kept his arm draped over me.
"Goodnight my love" I whispered back and fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up to find Pam asleep in the bathroom floor. She took her pillow and blanket in there. I knew she didn't feel good.
"Mommy, I don't feel good either" Kennedy told me when she woke up.
Of course she doesn't. She either got sick from Pam or is copying her.
"Come here" I picked her up and sat her on the counter. I felt her face, she didn't feel warm. She didn't look pale or anything either. Leading me to believe she's just copying Pamela.
Just to make sure, I washed the thermometer before checking her temperature. It was 97.4. She definitely didn't have a fever, but I should probably monitor her anyway.
No school for either of them today I guess. I got her off the counter and told her to go watch cartoons while I cook breakfast.
I made eggs, sausage, bacon, and toast. Will ate breakfast and got all his stuff together.
"Have a good day sweetheart" I said and gave him a kiss. "I love you"
"I love you too, snowflake. Call me if you need anything. I'll do everything I can." He kissed me again before a little one came up running and jumped into his arms.

"Bye Daddy," Kennedy said sweetly.
"You be good for Mommy, okay?" He said. She nodded dramatically. "Bye munchkin" he kissed her cheek and set her down. He grabbed his keys and left the house.
I went and checked on Pam. She was awake now, but just sitting by the toilet.
"Hey honey" I walked in and leaned down to her level. I felt her head. Her fever broke. "Do you want to try to eat something for breakfast?" I asked her.
She shook her head softly.
"That's okay." I told her. "Let's go sit in the living room with sissy and watch cartoons." I said and picked her up. I grabbed her pillow and she already had her blanket wrapped around her body.
I sat her down on the couch and kissed her head. It was around this time that Corbin usually woke up.
I made myself some coffee. I had a feeling I was really gonna need it today. I took a long sip of my fresh coffee, before I heard Corbin crying in his room.
I went and got him out of his crib. I changed his pamper and put him in his big boy undies.
"Do you want breakfast, buddy?"
"Yes yes" he clapped. I took him back out to the kitchen.
I took his high chair into the living room so he could watch cartoons with his sisters. I set him down in it and went back to the kitchen and made his plate. I gave him eggs a few broken up pieces of bacon and a half a piece of toast.
He ate as they all watched Doc McStuffins. I drank my coffee and cleaned up the kitchen while I waited on Corbin to finish eating.
"Mommy, I done," Corbin told me.
"You're done? Okay" I walked over to him. He ate everything on his plate. There was some crumbs from his toast and bacon, but he did really good. "Good job, Cor" I said and kissed his cheek as let him out.
I took his chair back to the kitchen and cleaned it. I finished my coffee and did the dishes.
When I walked back into the living room Kennedy and Corbin were playing on the floor and Pamela was sleeping on the couch. I turned on the baby monitor in the living room and went to my room. I was going to make the bed, but turns out my wonderful husband already did.
I smiled and made a mental note to thank him later. I grabbed the laundry baskets from each room and started on some laundry. I folder the towels that were in the dryer and put them away.
It was almost twelve by the time I was moving the first load to the dryer and I saw a figure run by. I looked after it. It was Pam running to the bathroom.
I went to check in her. She was hovering over the toilet, emptying everything that was in her stomach. I tied her hair out of her face. Her head was burning up again. She groaned in pain and my heart sank for her. This is the worst part of being a parent.
"Ow!" I heard from the living room. Then Corbin stared screaming in tears.
I rushed in there to find out what happened. Corbin was holding his head in tears.
"What happened?" I asked with my mom look.
Corbin pointed at Kennedy in tears. Then to the truck laying next to him. "Sissy throw truck at me" he cried.
I crouched down next to him and uncovered his gave from his head. Sure enough there was a scrape on his head starting to bruise. It wasn't actively bleeding so that's good.

"Kennedy Brooke" I scolded her. "Did you do that to your brother?"
I could see the guilt on her face as tears sprung in her eyes. I picked up Corbin and placed him on my hip.
"Go stand in the corner" I told her and she started crying. I still had a crying Corbin on my hip.
"Mommy!" She cried.
"No. You threw the truck at your brother. That wasn't nice, go stand in the corner" I told her firmly.
She screamed in threw herself on the floor. "I don't wanna" she screamed.
"You're gonna get yourself in even more trouble if you don't get up and do what I ask. I'm gonna count to three and you better be in that corner." I told her. She didn't listen. "One. Two."
"Mommy!" Pam called from the bathroom. Corbin was still crying in my arms.
"One second, Pam. Mommy's coming!" I called back and turned to Kennedy. "Kennedy Brooke. Corner. Now." I said. She was still crying but she did what I said.
I heard my phone ringing. I sighed and grabbed it from the laundry room on the way to the bathroom to check on Pam. I set the crying Corbin on the counter.
I answered my Dad's phone call.
"Hey Dad, I'm a little busy right now." I said. I'm sure he could hear my two screaming children. "What's wrong, Pam? Are you okay?" I asked her.
"My tummy hurts and I don't feel good" she cried.
"I know honey I know" I kissed her head.
"I can hear that" dad answered. "I could call back later, if you want."
"No Dad, it's okay. Come on Pam let's get you some medicine." I held out a hand for her and out Corbin back on my hip.
Corbin went in his high chair and his crying had gone down but it was still very much there. Kennedy was still screaming in the corner.
"One second Dad." I told him. I pulled out the medicine box and first aid kit. I took Pam temperature again and while I waited I got and ice pack out of the freezer and wrapped it in a kitchen towel. I removed Corbin's hand from his head and gently placed the ice pack in its place to calm down the swelling.
There was a bruise and a tiny skin scrape. Nothing a little Neosporin and a bandaid can't fix.
The thermometer beeped and I looked at her temperature. 101.6. I poured her some medicine and let her take it. I took the ice pack off of Corbin's head and put Neosporin and he screamed when my finger touched his head. I must've underestimated his bruise.
"Choose a bandaid." I told him. While he was doing that I got a rag and wet it with two water. I gave it to Pam to put in her head. "Why don't you go lay down in your room, Pam? Take a nap. It'll make you feel better."
She nodded and walked into her room. I turned towards Corbin. He crying was almost nonexistent and Kennedy's screaming had died down. He handed me the bandaid he wanted and I put it on his head.
I picked him up and realized he went to the bathroom in his underwear.
"Dad, are you still there?" I asked as I carried Corbin to the bathroom.
"Yes Coco" He answered.
I turned on the bath water, making sure it wasn't too hot or too cold. I stripped Corbin from his dirty clothes and set him in the bath. I washed his body and his hair while we were here.
"Dad, I'm not sure how you did this. Four children all by yourself and I know we were a handful. I'm struggling and I only have three and I have Will and everyone around me here to help." I almost cried into the phone as I washed Corbin.
"Well Coco, I'm not gonna say it's easy, but I will tell you it's worth it. You have three beautiful children and a loving husband. Trust me that at the end of the day the good will always out weigh the bad. It's never going to be easy. I can promise you that. C'est la vie."
"That's life" I translated.
He hummed. "That was something my grandma said to me all the time when I was a kid. If I was having a tough time, she hugged me and gave me a kiss on the head and whispered c'est la vie in my ear."
"Thanks dad, you always know exactly what to say." I got Corbin out the tub and dried him off with a towel.
"I'm always here when ever you need me Coco. Well I just called to check in on you. Will said you might be having a hectic day"
"I love you Dad" I told him with a smile on my face.
"I love you too Coco" He said and hung up the phone.
I put the phone in my back pocket. I room Corbin to his room and put him in a fresh pair of clothes. I looked at the clock. It was time for his nap anyway.
He yawned. I think he wanted that nap. I set him down in his crib and turned off his light, leaving on his lamp.
I checked in on Pam. She was sound asleep in her bed. I walked into the living room and Kennedy was asleep in the corner. I decided not to wake her and leave her there until she wakes up. I knew if I woke her up she would be grouchy.
I finished the laundry I started before the crazy happened. I added in Corbin's wet clothes. I cleaned the toys in the living room and put up the medicine box.
Once I was done, I sat back on the couch and took a deep breath. The kids were all asleep for a while. Pam woke up first. She said she felt better and wanted to eat. I gave her some applesauce. We sat on the couch together and watched The Princess and the Frog.
Corbin cried for me to come get him. I brought him back to the living room and he played with toys on the floor. Kennedy woke up and I told her to come here.
"Can you say sorry to Corey for throwing the toy at him?" I asked nicely.
She walked over to Corbin. "Sorry for throwing the toy at you Corey" she hugged him and gave him a kiss on his head.
I sat back as the two played and Pam watched the movie.
It wasn't long until Will got home. Kennedy and Corbin ran into his arms. "Daddy, daddy!" They squealed.
He picked them up and spun them around. They laughed and giggled.
"Hi snowflake" he set the kids down and crawled over the couch and kissed me. All the kids covered their eyes.
"Hi babe, thank you for making the bed this morning." I told him.
"Anything for you my love" he kissed my head. He walked around to the other side of me to kiss Pam on the head. "How's my girl doing?" He asked.
"Better" She told him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She was definitely a daddy's girl.
Will sat down next to me with Pam's feet in his lap. We put on Toy Story and soon enough Corey and Ken crawled up on the couch and cuddled with all of us.
I looked over at Will, but he was already looking at me. "Thank you for this life, snowflake. You made my dreams come true"
"It wouldn't be the same without you. I love you so much William Erickson"
"I love you Cora Erickson and the life we've made together." He kissed my head.
Dad was right, at the end of the day the good Will always out weigh the bad.

8 148Death's Daughter | Supernatural, D.W.
My life is normal, or at least relative to it. Really, how normal does life get, being the offspring of the most murderous of beings, the undertaker himself? Being Death's daughter isn't easy. Existence itself is a trying subject; even more trivial when it's based around taking the lives of (mostly) innocent people. The word mostly is an asterisk for people like Sam and Dean Winchester. My father informed me of them at a young age after a reaping that had obviously gone sideways. "If you have the chance," he instructed me, "drag those obnoxious cock roaches down to Hell, and leave them there."Then, one day, two flannel-clad idiots and their angel on a leash wander into my jurisdiction of the veil. My life has never been the same; my life has never been the preconceived notion of 'normal' that it once was.Disclaimer: I do not own any characters or plot lines from Supernatural.
