You're 16 almost 17

You, your mom wanda and your dad vision live in a little town called west view and you love it there. 6 years ago your family welcomed into the world billy and Tommy, twins. Ever since then your mom has practically forgotten that you existed. You expected it for the first couple of years or so cause they are babies and need attention, and they still do at the age of 6 but they are becoming more independent and they have their dad as well. You don't think you have even had a full convocation since the twins were born and frankly you're getting tired and really upset about it cause she's your mom too, she doesn't put any effort in, you know your dad is busy but at least he makes an effort, he takes you out for an evening to eat ice cream and walk around town catching up. He knows how you feel about the situation and has tried to talk to Wanda but she doesn't listen properly. Over this time you have gotten closer to your neighbour aunt Agnes as she knew something was up and has comforted you about it. It's a Saturday and you thought to try with your mom to hang out like you used to

U- hey mom

W- hey y/n

U- do you want to hang out and catch up like we used to we haven't done it in years

W- I'm busy with the twins another day maybe

You walk away mumbling

U- it's always another day

You go upstairs, pack a day bag, tell your dad your going out and walk over to Agnes' place and you knock on the door

A- hey hun what's up

U- do you maybe wanna hang out with me today, like go shopping and stuff

A- sounds amazing let be go grab my purse

She grabs her purse and you go to the shops

A- hun look at these they are beautiful

U- it really is... oh look matching! Do you want to match?

A- sure hun I'll pay for it

U- you don't have to—

A- i insist, now you pay for what you want and I'll pay for this

U- are you sure

A- I'm sure and I'll pay for everything as well no biggie

U- Agnes are you sure I don't want you to waste your money

A- Someone needs to spoil you, when's the last time you went shopping with your mom

U- like when I was 10 before the twins arrived

Agnes goes up and pays for the stuff

A- no problem, wanna get ice cream then more shopping

U- defiantly

You get ice cream then spend the rest of the day shopping and you get back home around 8pm

U- thank you for the day out Agnes I really needed that

A- of course hun I loved today

You hug her

U- can we do something like today again

A- yes hun

U- ok I better get inside

You get inside of your house and you're greeted with an unhappy angry mother

W- Where have you been?! I've been worried sick

U- I was with aunt Agnes we went shopping, we had dinner out as it was late

W- you have something called a phone y/n! You should have called me!

U- dad knew where I was going I didn't think I was obligated to as dad knew

W- well your father didn't tell me

U- oh well! Since when did you care about me

W- what are you talking about I do care about you

U- 7 years ago you did

W- I have your brothers to look after I don't have the time that I used to

U- you know this is the most that we have spoken since they were born, don't get me wrong I love my brothers with all my heart and I know you do but do you realise that they aren't your only children

W- we have convocations all the time

U- what me asking if you want to hang out and you say no cause your busy with the boys where dad could of easily take care of them with out you

W- they need me y/n

U- I NEED YOU TOO! I need my mom just as much as they do but you just don't care about me

W- that's not true you are my daughter!

U- no it isn't it was when I was 10, mom you don't even know me anymore, dad realised this years ago that I want to have a relationship with my parents and that I'm still your child and we go get ice cream and catch up. Sometimes I need to talk to you for example when I had my first Kiss, my first date, when I wanted to come out to you and you just say later or another time but over these past years those never came and I told Agnes about it cause she's there for me, it's like I'm not your daughter anymore

W- don't say that y/n you are my daughter

U- well it sure as hell doesnt feel like it

You walk to your room and slam the door

W- dammit I've fucked up

V- Wanda dear it took you long enough to realise that

W- did you know this is how she feels

V- yes, that's why we go out for ice cream to catch up and everyday I ask her how her day went, we do things together cause she needs us just as much as the twins do, she had to grow up way to fast, you know she can cook amazingly, she has learnt all of the basics of living at the age of 10, she has an amazing career plan she's going to go far in life but she has missed one thing... a mother, Agnes has been more of a mother to her and as much as y/n loves her she isn't her mother she needed you Wanda and you weren't there

W- why didn't she say something

V- cause you always told her later! It's been almost 7 years since you even told her you loved her don't you even see that she broken cause she thinks that you hate her! You say you love Billy and Tommy everyday do you even love her

W- of course I do she's my daughter and I'm her mother

You come downstairs

U- then start acting like it

W+V- y/n...

U- don't say anything I heard everything so did the twins, they came to my room to apologise for taking you away from me so I had to explain these they didn't it's moms fault and they did nothing wrong, they asked if I hate them and I said i love them and the thing that they heard was nothing to be concerned about

V- thank you y/n

U- oh and don't mind me I'm just getting a water and dad don't try to get through to her you've tried for years for my benefit and it didn't work so please don't try I've got used to it and I have aunt Agnes

V- I know dear but—

U- I know I've cried and stuff cause I think mom hates me but like I've said I'm used to it

W- y/n—

U- mom it's fine you don't need to explain why you hate me... good night guys love you

V- love you too

W- wait y/n can you stay down here for a sec, vis can you go upstairs

V- ok good night

U- good night dad

He goes upstairs

U- what did you want me here for mom

W- I wanted to apologise for the way I've been acting, there's no excuse for the way I've been acting, i should of never of neglected you, it made you grow up faster than you should of at that young of an age, I've practically lost seeing you grow up and I take full responsibility for doing that. I'm sorry for what I have done, I'm sorry for making you feel that I hate you when it's not true I love you

U- you're just saying that mom cause you were confronted and I spent the day with Agnes and you just pay attention to me when I'm not in the house for once other than that you don't care where I am or anything else unless I'm not trapped in this house

W- that's not true y/n

U- it is true today is the most you've spoken to me in one day than in the seven years since the twins were born. I don't blame the twins I love them they're my baby brothers I love them to death but since they were born it's like I'm just a guest at the house you don't even know. I have to speak to Agnes about things like when I got my first period you were 'too busy' so I went to Agnes, when I had my first kiss I went to Agnes when I knew I was into girls—

W- you're into girls?

You give her an annoyed look

W- right not the point... you went to Agnes at the times you needed a mom... you needed me

U- but you weren't there and Agnes became like a mom to me cause she was there when I needed you most

W- and I'm truly sorry about that I really am I wasn't a mother to you snd I deeply regret that that I basically failed to see you grow up and become this amazing young woman and it pains me that I failed to see that. I know I've made a massive mistake but im here now and I want to fix and repair our relationship

U- you've hurt me a lot over these last seven years it's made me put a lot of boundaries snd walls up cause I've been afraid to open up and let myself care so you even know how long it took my girlfriend to break those for her, how long it took me to tell her that I love her and everything else all because of you

W- y/n please I want to be in your life and I want to get to know this mature beautiful woman you've become

U- you giving me compliments isnt really helping

W- I'm begging you please just another chance I need you in my life I can't loose anyone else

You smile as it's the first time in years she's said that

You go upstairs and go to your room to sleep
