Katsuki sat underneath the rather large tree, he was alone. It felt like ages since he had someone next to him.

It felt like an eternity since he heard his squad voices and laughs, an eternity since he felt their hugs.

Katsuki sighed, the sun that leaked through the thick leaves of the tree covered his face with warmth, the warm feeling bringing joy to his lonely heart.

Katsuki leaned against the tree, he wanted nothing more than to be surrounded by his squad, nothing more than to have then come back to him. The world felt cold, his body shivered at the emptiness around him. They were never supposed to leave, yet all he has left is memories.

It was a shame to be alone, a shame that you can't have the ones you live right next to you all the time, seeing their smiles no matter how rough of a day.

Learning further into the tree Katsuki sighed again, breathing in the fresh air around him. It was sweet and refreshing. It reminded of his squad, it almost felt like they were right next to him again. He breathed in the air softly, a gentle smile formed on his face.

It was hard to smile at times like this.

It was hard to smile knowing his squad wasn't next to him.

Katsuki longed for people who were supposed to be next to him, to never leave his side no matter what.

Katsuki's gentle smile turned to a frown, the emptiness riddling his bones.

It was a shame to be alone when Katsuki's squad promised to never leave his side.
