《(Discontinued) Outer Banks | JJ x reader》Part 21

There was a shocked look on all of our faces. Then JB started smiling as he looked over us.
None of us moved or talked for a second. Then we all yelled, "Get in!". Kie and I got in with Sarah and JJ and Pope pushed behind and JB started peddling. "You guys are so heavy." John B muttered as he pedaled, making my smile grow more.
Everyone yelled as the man ran out behind us. Then Pope fell, JJ jumped on the side, and Kie pulled Pope back up on the side.
The man grabbed the back of the bike but I punched him and he fell down. "See you later, asshole!" Pope yelled at him as we all whooped and screamed.
Apparently Sarah and JB had a boat so we went there. Everyone hoped off the bike and started going to the boat, but I pulled John B into a hug before we could go.
We stayed like that for a second. It was overwhelming almost. He was actually back. After I thought he was dead, after rediscovering that he wasn't, trying to find him, all of it. He was back. My twin bother was back home.
"I think you're breaking my rib." JB told me, laughing. I laughed and let go of him. I think there were a little bit of tears in my eyes but he didn't say anything. "Come on." He smiled, pulling me down to the boat where everyone was getting ready, JJ and Pope already ready to push it out.
We literally just caught up on everything that's happened, laughing the whole way back to OBX.
Everyone went to sleep and JB and I stayed up, me sitting while he was driving standing up and I was beside him.
"Sarah and I got married." John B told me. "What?!" I practically yelled, calming myself so I didn't wake up the others. I wasn't mad about it obviously, just surprised.

"Yeah." John B laughed. "Not officially but yeah." "Uh- congrats? I'm not sure what to say." I laughed also. "Got a new sister in law I guess." I said. We both just smiled.
"So you and JJ broke up?" John B said out of nowhere. "What?" I asked, it catching me off guard.
"You still look at each other the same but you don't act it." JB replied. I didn't say anything and John B knew we did.
John B sat down beside me, still watching the water dont worry. "What happened?" He asked me. "Uh..." I looked down at my feet. "It was my fault." I told JB. "When you left, I had a hard time. Um it got really bad. One night there was a party. I got crossed and slept with someone else."
It hurt more saying it out loud. Knowing it was my fault. I hurt my boy.
I didn't plan on telling him it was Rafe yet, not even Kie or Pope knew that yet I don't think.
My eyes were teary but nothing fell. John B put his arm around me. "I'm sorry." Was all he said. That was enough.
~~~
I didn't sleep much that night. But I didn't need sleep right now.
"Anybody else starving? We need to grab some breakfast." JJ said after everyone woke up. We docked on a random dock and all got out.
"We're gonna find some food." Sarah told the boys as we walked off. "Ugh." Kie grunted as she lifted up a watermelon. "Jackpot!" She said.
We split one open and sat down on a bench, all 3 eating it. "Okay so you really got married?" Kie asked Sarah as we talked.
"It wasn't exactly legal, but..." Sarah smiled. "Yeah." She finished. Kie and I smiled at each other and looked at Sarah.
"So am I crazy or is there definitely something going on between you and Pope?" Sarah asked Kie. "Maybe." Kie shrugged.
"That's not a no." I said as Sarah laughed a bit. "It's not a no." Kie nodded. "Girl." Sarah said, making us all laugh.
"So what's goin on between you and JJ. Spill." Sarah told me. "Nothing," I replied, eating a piece of watermelon, "That's my problem."
"Long story." I added before Sarah asked what happened. "Another day." She said. I just smiled at her and nodded.
Sarah was always nice like that. She doesn't push. She understands when you want to stay quiet about something.
We decided to go back to the boat after we finished the watermelon, each of us bringing
one back.
"Hi." Sarah said as we walked up, interrupting the boys talking about something. "What y'all talking about?" I asked them with a smile. "Uh... fishing." John B lied badly. "Dropin lures." JJ added.
Us 3 looked at each other, knowing they were lying. "Okay." Sarah replied.
"Need help?" Pope asked Sarah. Kie and I were already getting in the boat. "Yeah. Thanks." Sarah replied as Pope took the watermelon, not expecting the weight.
JJ held out a hand and I took it not even thinking, him helping me into the boat even though I didn't need it.
"Got breakfast." Kie told them.
~~~
We went back to the Château after eating, like before laughing and talking the whole time.
"There she is." JB said as we pulled up. "Good to see her old bones." I added. "Welcome home, guys." JJ told Sarah and JB.
We decked and got out. "You know I gotta be honest, not exactly looking forward to a check-in at home." Kie said as we went up the dock. I sat on the wall. "My parents probably already arranged my funeral." She added.
"I also predict unpleasantries at the Heyward house. After I left the truck at Charleston." Pope replied. I laughed at how smart he made it sound.
They all looked at me just because I laughed but then I got an idea.
"No one knows we're here, right?" I said. "And you two aren't going to get into any more trouble for showing up 12 hours later." I told Kie and Pope.
"Am I right or am I right?" I asked. "You're not wrong." Pope replied, shuffling his feet as he anticipated where I was going with this.
"So that means we have 12 hours to do whatever we want." I told them all. "Huh? A little Pogue fellowship." I added. "Let shit hit the fan tomorrow." John B agreed, smiling at me.
"The cops could be looking for us. It could be really stupid." Sarah replied. "Sarah Cameron." I said, jumping off the wall and walking up to her. "You've heard of our philosophy, right?" I asked her. It was me and JJs but I wasn't gonna point him out directly.
"No." She replied, laughing a little. "Stupid things have good outcomes all the time." I told her. The rest of the Pogues were mouthing it.
"Let's get some beer." I yelled, walking up to the Chât.

The Wandering God
First 22 chapters or so are undergoing editing Experiencing a lonely death. Yearning for a love that never came. Engraved with the curse of solitary. Death and rebirth, Rising from the ashes, he vowed. This time i will live to the fullest ! Rated Mature for Blood scenes & possibilities of : slight gore ( 14+). TWG is mostly a light, slice of life read with tints of emotional touches. The story will be easy going and it will lack suspense & battles, since the mc is very OP for a long time. The Harem tag, I can assure you it won't pass 3. This is a Xuanhuan [ Eastern Fantasy ] with a slight deviation to the Xianxia [ Immortal Hero ] genre. It however, breaks away from ordinary Xianxia/Huan tropes with the Mc's strength being over the top since the start. Also, I must warn you that I would never include an R18 scene.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
