《(Discontinued) Outer Banks | JJ x reader》Part 1

😭
We're the Pogues, and our mission this summer is to have a good time all the time. The Outer Banks. Paradise on Earth. It's the sort of place where you either have two jobs or two houses. Two tribes, one island. There is Figure Eight, the rich side of the island. Home of the Kooks. And then there's the south side, or the cut. Home of the working class who make a living busing tables, washing yachts, running charters. The natural habitat of... the Pogues. That's us. Pogues, the throwaway fish. Lowest member of the food chain. Okay. So the downside of Pogue life is we're ignored and neglected. The upside of Pogue life, we're ignored and neglected, which means we do whatever we want, whenever we want. First, there's JJ. Me and John B's best friend since third grade. Best surfer I know. He's like me, a kleptomaniac, a druggie, and into alcohol. Then there's Kiara, or as we call her, Kie. When she's not saving turtles or listening to Marley, or getting a dolphin tattoo, she hangs out with us. I'm not really sure why, though. Cause she's a rich kid, actually. Her family owns The Wreck, this Outer Banks institution. Total cash cow with the tourists. I'm pretty sure her parents hate us, but who cares. She's the only girl that I hang out with. And there's also Pope. He's the brains of the operation. He's the smartest person I know. Then there's John Booker Routledge, or John B. He's my twin brother. JJ calls us womb-mates just to make us mad. And I'm (Y/N). Like I mentioned, me and JJ are very much alike. I do crazy things that the Pogues warn me about not doing, but I do them anyway. What's the fun in life if you can't live it. Anyway, me and John B live in an old fish shack on the marsh. Our dad used to call it the Château. Our dad disappeared at sea 9 months ago, looking for a shipwreck. I miss him. So does John B, but at least we have each other. Then, our mom. She split when me and JB were three. The person who watches over us, Uncle T. Well, he's supposed to watch over us. Since our dad vanished, he's our legal guardian. He's normally not here, leaving me and the Pogues to have our house. Currently, he's in Mississippi. The Pogues normally stay at our house. Kie and Pope live in between, since their houses are okay. JJ's, not so much. He has an abusive, alcoholic father that we all hate. Therefore, he stays at our house pretty much all the time. JB refuses to believe that our dad is missing. He needs to see a body first. Me, I don't know what to think. No I don't want to believe that our dad is dead, but I sort of do. Anyway, this is my life. The Pogues are my family and I would never change that.

Dust 2: A New World Order
It can always get worse… A new world order is coming, one that will pit one species against another. Life is about to become very hazardous—for anyone who gets in Dust’s way. With every day that passes, Dust is more afraid of what he will become. His powers are growing far beyond what he can predict, and he is reluctant to tell his make-shift family that he isn’t sure when—or if—it will ever stop. His goal is to get to Portland, Oregon and find his aunt and uncle. Ideally he would get there alone, because he’s far too much of a danger to the people around him, but they aren’t willing to give up on him, and an old enemy isn’t far behind. When they reach Portland, Dust discovers a line has been drawn between those who have been changed and the unchanged ones who want to control them. Can Dust protect his new family from being used or will the power within him become a force that will not only destroy his enemies, but the ones he loves?

The Dawnfire Archives
It begins in the endless wastes, with an unknown man arriving at the bottom of the tallest mountain in existence. A mysterious voice provides few directions, bringing more questions than answers. Regardless, after choosing a name and weapon... the man begins to climb. He will not be alone on this journey. A young individual from a different reality has also made his way to The Climb. But what does their arrival bode for the people of this world? And where does climbing the mountain truly lead? This is my second novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the third being "The Card Thief of Culnivar". This story is much more GameLIT than Xianxia, and takes place in a different setting with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.

An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.

Wonderful, right?! Their friend, Grover Underwood- who is suppose to be CRIPPLED-, and Nico(the 'jerk') protected them from it. They find out that Grover is a saytr and that they were demigods. (The 'rude bastard' that she hates also is one.) Clare can now kiss goodbye all her beliefs! When she learns that she has to share a cabin with Nico when sh arrives to camp, she absolutely goes bonkers! When they learn more about each other and spend more time with one another, they realize that they have strong feelings for each other. Will fate be generous, or tear them apart??
