Pov: Asher

I clutched Aylean's backpack strap, I gulped. The pheromones in this territory felt suffocating.

I shifted back and forth on the back of my heels, trying to ignore the enormously strong pheromones.

When I learned Luna Aylean was injured while I was hunting, I practically ran back to our cabin. Edric and Emilia were so confused why I was rushing around the cabin.

I snapped out of my thoughts when the birds around me went silent.

I gulped and looked around the abandoned territory. My hand clenched tighter on the backpack strap and even my wolf; Atlas was on edge.

Same, but we have to stay still like Luna told us.

I merely nodded in reply.

Atlas repeated Aylean's words. When a twig snapped in the distance I gritted my teeth; the urge to attack stayed faint, but my feet stayed glued to the floor.

Don't attack.

I repeated. Luna Aylean knew what she was doing, when she told me not to attack. The raging pheromones around me weren't exactly helping.

Who even are they? And why is Luna even in this territory without wanting to submit... but there's nothing to even submit to?

I sucked in a breath when another snap echoed, but this time it was a lot louder, which meant it was closer.

Atlas said, I took in a deep breath and looked towards the sound.

Soon a man appeared, he was about 5'7, he had brown, short, wavy hair and an almond skin tone, with ice blue eyes and a muscular build.

The man seemed uncomfortable for a moment, and a second I thought a flash of pain run through his eyes.

The man gulped and raised a brow at me and I gritted my teeth.

Stay silent until he asks for the password. Wait crap what was it again!?

I mentally freaked out, but stayed looking calm on the outside.

Atlas do you remember what the password Luna said was?

I begged my wolf. Atlas shook his head in the back and I chewed the inside of my cheek trying to rack my brain for anything.

I let out a visible sigh of relief, and the man furrowed his brows.

Thank you Atlas.

I looked back at the man and he finally spoke for what felt like and eternity "You are aware of the password," the man spoke "What is it?" He asked.

"Coconuts" I replied. The man nodded and his shoulders relaxed. I didn't even realize they were tensed.

"Follow me," he said, I clenched the backpack strap again. Tensing up myself.

"It it right?" I asked. I knew it was, and despite how much I wanted to get away from these pheromones, but I wasn't leaving.

Luna only said to follow him if he told me it was correct, and I'm not moving until he says that.

The man halted and turned around smiling "Correct." He answered and I relaxed and followed the man.

The man led me to a cave. I hesitated and stopped at the entrance. 'Luna?' I questioned

How do I know he will lead us to Luna?

Atlas pointed out, and I bit my lip as the men entered the cave.

'Yes Asher?' Luna Aylean's mind-link echoed in my head.

'The man led me to a cave, is this where you are?' I questioned.

'Yes. I'm inside the cave, it's okay to come in he won't hurt you' Luna Aylean reassured.

I followed the man inside the cave. When I entered I blinked letting my eyes adjust to the dimly lit cave.

"Hello Asher" Luna Aylean's voice echoed, I looked towards the sound and saw Luna lying on the floor.

"Luna!" I ran to her side.

"Wait what!?" The man yelled, furrowing his brows together. "Didn't you run away from the Alpha, why the heck is calling you Luna?" The man questioned again.

"Don't question it Davion," Luna Aylean said, and I furrowed my own brows in confusion. I looked at Luna then back at the man.

What is going on?

Luna Aylean noticed my expression and she looked over the man "Asher, this is my older brother Davion; Davion, this is my pack member Asher" Luna Aylean explained.

Okay that explains why she said I could trust him, but why does he smell like he's from a pack?

I min-linked Luna Aylean while looking at her injured leg. 'Why does he smell like a Beta?'

'He is a Beta, he's the Beta from my old pack, but that's not important' Luna replied.

"So that still doesn't explain why he called you Luna." Davion said

"Because she's our Luna" I scoffed, earning a glare from the man.

"Relax Davi, Asher and his mates started calling me Luna after I helped them" Luna Aylean explained.

Davion looked at me for validation and I nodded in reply. He furrowed his brows "Wait mates? Like the Vipen's?" Davion asked.

Luna Aylean nodded "Yeah," she replied then looked at me. "Are you feeling better?" Luna asked.

I gave her a puzzled look.

Atlas pointed out and I looked around shocked.

They're gone, but how?

I looked at Luna for an explanation but she just smiled "I'll take that reaction as a yes," she cooed.

Davion sat down on a pile of blankets and I gave Luna Aylean her backpack. She smiled at me and grabbed the things she needed from inside.

I stood up as Luna Aylean began treating her injured leg with the materials she grabbed from inside her backpack.

In the meantime I looked around the cave, the dimly lit fairy lights flickered for s moment and the pool of water in the middle had blankets beside it, where Davion was sitting.

Two dummies on the right side of the wall along a shelf that had a few pieces of clothing scattered along to floor.

"Ouch!" Luna hissed, catching Davion's and I's attention.

"Are you okay Luna?" I asked just as I saw her wrapping a bandage around her swollen leg.

"I'm fine" Luna answered "It just hurts a little bit."

Davion clenched his fists "I am going to kill that stupid mutt" he snarled.

I tensed.

Is he talking about me?

Me too.

"Would you relax Davion" Luna scoffed "Seriously, Aztec isn't worth your time" She added. I furrowed my brows.

What does Alpha Hunter have to do with this?

"He caused you harm, mentally and physically" Davion muttered.

Atlas freaked out in my head. "What do you mean?" I asked Luna's brother.

Davion looked at me "Did she not tell you?"

"I just escaped," Aylean muttered "So no. He doesn't know" She gritted her teeth.

Davion rolled his eyes at Luna. I looked at her with a confused expression, Luna sighed "Aztec is my mate" she said.

My eyes widened. "So why did he kidnap you!?" I questioned.

"That doesn't matter right now" Aylean said.

"How does that not matter?? Your mate kidnapped you." I asked.

I noticed Davion smirk in the corner of my eye and Luna rolled her eyes.

"You two. Promise me you won't do anything" Luna glared at us.

I sighed "Yes Luna" I grumbled.

"Fine. But if he does anything else he's dead" Davion growled.

I looked at him "I second that"
