It looks like the past is coming back to nip me in my 'hind,

but I keep moving onwards by leaving the leaves behind.

Got to go and get some shuteye by shutting the blinds

and getting ready to unwind.

I don't want to rewind,

I'd rather stay here

where success is crystal clear.

Like a see-through mirror,

or a pool of water.

Or a glass that's near.

Because now I don't have to validate me,

have to go and find me.

Have to go create me,

have to go and lie to me.

I can just be me,

chill, sit back, relax, breathe.

Take it easy.

Slow and steady.

I can't wait to begin the last chapter of the second decade of my life.

I'm ready to go in and past the door to a cascade sweeping me to the five

points of a star,

its light playing like a guitar.

Telling me how far

I've come in life so far.

But not of how far I have yet to go.

Mainly because that is something we don't know.

So I sit on my raft at midnight and watch it float,

stare at the sea beneath me flow.

While the moon ahead glows.

While the moonflower grows.

While the steady wind blows.

While the island shows.

While a ghost rows

the boat for me.

As I stare forwards, intently.

As we seem to go on endlessly.

As the moonlight increases in intensity.

As we descend into the night's silent serenity.

For an eternity.

I live to see the day.

Sleeping under leaves larger than man.

Sometimes I look up and pray,

"make it to Heaven I can".
