《12am || Hyunlix》In the closet

"Uhm, Jeongin..?" I said

It was super dark inside the closet, and only a slight stream of light shined though the opening. I barely fit, and had a hard time breathing.

I wondered why he pushed me into the closet like that, begging me to hide. I'd love to meet his parents. You know, I can't be in a relationship with someone without knowing their parents first.

"Just shut up!" He whisper-shouted into the slit

I tried to peek out of the little opening. Jeongin desperately walked back to the bed, and sat down before grabbing something from under his pillow.

It was a Bible.

Why was he reading the Bible now?

Huh, weird.

Shivers were sent down my spine as I made eye contact with him. I'm sure he wasn't aware though, cause there's no way he could see my eyes from here.

He opened the book up at a random page and started reading. I could hear his parents coming closer by the second.

"Hi mom and dad" Jeongin stood up from bed to greet them

that's a weird way to greet your parents

He smiled in a way I had never seen before. It wasn't a smirk like he usually does.

All I could see of his parents was an arm wearing gray silk.

"Have you cleaned the kitchen as we told you too?" His mother asked

His eyes widened.

"Yeah, uhm" he mumbled, "I think I might've left a glass of water on the table"

I found it rude of his parents not to greet him back. They could've at least said hello. But I guess that's none of my business.

"I'll go get it" Jeongin said

He started walking out the room when his parents stopped him.

"You stay right here" his dad demanded

He anxiously walked back to his bed.

I should have cleaned the glass he gave me earlier. His parents seemed mad, and I could've done something.

I heard both his parents walk over to the kitchen, and i was left in the room with only Jeongin. I wanted to say something, but decided to "shut up" as he told me to. I learned my lesson not to anger him.

His eyes wandered to the closet I was in. He seemed to be ashamed. His hands were grabbing onto the back of his head in frustration.

I heard footsteps coming towards his room again. This time they sounded different, as if something was urgent.

"Two glasses" his mother said loud and clear

"I'm sorry mom, I'll go clean them up" Jeongin apologized

"No" she stopped him again

He looked up at her with big eyes.

"First you tell us why there are two glasses" she said

"I forgot I already had one, and accidentally took two" he explained

I wondered why he'd lie about that. I'm sure his parents wouldn't mind me being there. After all, we didn't do much other than drink water and talk. I just wished he wasn't embarrassed of me.

His mom let out a loud sigh before handing him both the glasses. He instantly walked out the room and into the kitchen to clean them.

I never knew his parents were that strict. Hopefully he earned money from doing all these chores. I'd gladly help him if I could.

His room was completely empty after both him and his parents left. I had no idea what to do other than grab my phone from my pocket. Due to the little amount of space I had, I struggled a bit before finally holding it in an acceptable way.

I turned it on, and noticed I had gotten a message from mom.

Mom😊♥️

I smiled looking down at the message, but it didn't last long as I started thinking about the situation I was in realistically.

She'd expect me to have a boyfriend by now based on all the stuff I had been telling her. I decided to send her an honest reply

I shook my head. There was no simple way to explain all this. I wasn't even sure how it happened myself. Like, come on. His parents come home, and I get shoved into his closet. What kind of nonsense was that??

I decided not to reply until I had something understandable to say.

I started watching satisfying sand cutting videos in the meantime. They always helped to pass the time.

A couple videoes later, Jeongin was back into the room. He seemed to be stressed, and kept staring out the door. Once again, I wanted to say something, but figured I should keep quiet.

He looked over in my direction and took a couple steps closer.

"You need to stay quiet" he whispered

I nodded, as if he could see me back.

He then got back to sitting quietly on his bed, reading the Bible. This wasn't what I expected him to do in his free time, but it was cool. As long as he didn't bring girls over all the time I was happy.

I went back to watching the satisfying video compilations, only this time, it went on for a while. I checked the time, and it had been over an hour since my last interaction. I was even starting to run out of videos to watch.

-not that it was a huge problem though. Cause I had a gorgeous man sitting only a couple meters in front of me. He was just as satisfying to look at.

My mom sent me another message asking how I was doing, and I decided to reply with nothing more than a "good".

Jeongin kept reading in his book, barely ever taking his eyes off it. As I became more and more bored, I started inspecting my surroundings.

It was super dark, and I struggled to decipher what kind of clothing I had around me. Obviously there was nothing better to do than smell it all.

Everything smelled like his cologne, and I wanted to melt into all the hoodie-like clothing. He was so handsome, and I couldn't believe I had this opportunity at all. This felt like a whole privilege.

"Jeongin!!" I heard his mother shout from afar

I jumped

"Yes?" Jeongin replied in a shivering voice

Her footsteps came closer. I wondered why she was walking so aggressively.

"What is this?!" She asked

I had no idea what she was holding up, but assumed it was some rubbish he had forgotten to clean up.

He stood up from his bed again

"Oh.. that" he stuttered, "the basket.."

Oh no

She was holding up the basket I brought him. He was getting scolded because of me. Again.

I felt like the biggest shit-head. He was definitely going to be mad at me later.

"It's nothing" Jeongin quickly responded

My heart ached

"Nothing?" His mother said walking up to him, "both your brothers are telling me it's not theirs"

Only now I could see her. She was indeed holding the basket I brought.

My back hurt from standing in an uncomfortable position. I decided to turn my body to the side a little bit, only to have a pair of boxers fall onto my face.

I knew they were boxers, cause of the size and shape. It startled me of course. Startled me enough to flinch on the spot.

I accidentally hit the metal hanger behind me, and it made a noticeable sound.

My heart stopped
