Chapter 1227 Clues About Old Master!
“There’s hope.”
When Qingshan entered the deep forest, Fang Qiu was secretly delighted and quickly followed behind.
As Fang Qiu followed Qingshan’s tracks, he reduced the distance between them.
Deep into the mountains…
They walked for nearly half an hour.
Eventually…
Qingshan came to the top of a high mountain.
From the surroundings, it could be seen that this tall mountain seemed very far away from where he practiced.
Unexpectedly…
At the mountain peak stood a two-story pavilion.
It was built with wooden boards. Two windows on the second floor were wide open. Through them, Qingshan saw nothing on the second floor but a few potted flowers and plants.
The door and windows of the first floor were closed.
Qingshan came to the door of the pavilion.
In low spirits, he glanced at the tightly closed door and windows of the first floor and said gloomily, “Master, I was beaten. I lost!”
Over there…
Fang Qiu had arrived in the forest and was less than a kilometer from Qingshan.
Hearing Qingshan’s words, Fang Qiu immediately stopped to see if anyone in the pavilion would react.
To his great surprise…
Just after Qingshan finished talking…
A voice suddenly came from the pavilion.
“A friend coming from afar?”
“Show yourself!”
The voice sounded very kind and slightly jolly.
Qingshan was taken aback.
He quickly scanned around.
There…
Without hesitation, Fang Qiu flashed to Qingshan’s side.
“John Doe?”
When Fang Qiu showed up, Qingshan froze and his face changed dramatically.
John Doe could come here only because he must have been following him for quite some time. At least John Doe must have trailed after him before he entered the forest. Even worse, he might have started tracking when they were in the Qinghai grassland.
However…
John Doe had been stalking him for so long, but why did Qingshan not notice him?
Qingshan was stunned.
He was a guru.
So, he could sense any slight movement of the surrounding Qi of Heaven and Earth. John Doe had been tailing after him for so long, but how was it that he had not sensed anything?
The more Qingshan thought about it, the more shocked he became!
Just then…
“Ha-ha…”
A burst of laughter came from the pavilion. With it, the door of the pavilion’s first floor slowly opened.
Then, a figure walked out.
An elder appeared in front of Fang Qiu.
The elder was refreshingly lean, dressed in a white robe, like a vigorous and mysterious fortune-teller in Jianghu.
Fang Qiu scrutinized him closely.
The elder’s bright eyes sparkled and he looked very lively and energetic. Even young men were not as brisk as him!
The old man was impressive.
Fang Qiu’s eyes glinted.
Upon closer inspection, he found the elder seemed covered by a layer of gray fog, which blurred his vision, so Fang Qiu couldn’t get more information from his appearance.

When he noticed that John Doe was eyeing him to take in his measure, the elder stood still at the door with a smile and looked steadily at John Doe.
His aboveboard posture seemed to tell John Doe that he was free to size him up, but he wouldn’t find anything!
“Senior.”
Fang Qiu gave a hold fist salute to the old man.
“Hee, hee.”
The elder smirked, stepped aside, and suddenly disappeared from where he was. When he emerged, he was less than three meters from Fang Qiu.
Facing Fang Qiu, the elder silently waved his right hand and delivered a hard slap.
“Hmm?”
Fang Qiu’s heart skipped a beat.
He immediately mobilized all the energy within him and dealt a hard slam.
This palm attack…
It would be a violent blow for anyone in Wulin. After the collision, a burst of terrifying energy Qi would erupt.
Surprisingly…
When his palm knocked against the elders’…
Fang Qiu felt that the internal Qi in his palm had suddenly dissipated.
Without causing a stir, it scattered inexplicably.
In the meantime…
A considerable force came through the elder’s palm.
The sudden appearance of this force caught Fang Qiu a little off guard. He hurriedly mobilized more internal Qi to resist, but even so, this force made him stagger three steps back!
Opposite him…
The elder still stood his ground, but a trace of surprise crossed his amiable face!
“Young friend, you’re truly amazing.”
The old man chortled.
Here…
Fang Qiu was astonished.
He could certainly feel that the elder didn’t intend to hurt him. This blow was to sound out his strength. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have merely forced him to take three steps back.
Beside them…
Qingshan’s eyes also widened and he stared at Fang Qiu in disbelief.
He didn’t expect John Doe to be able to withstand a blow from his master.
It was a little scary!
“Senior, you flatter me. I’m nowhere near as powerful as you.”
Fang Qiu quickly gave a hold fist salute to the elder.
“Not bad. Very modest.”
The elder nodded with a satisfied smile and asked, “Who is your master?”
“That is precisely why I came here.”
Fang Qiu said with a wry smile, “My master didn’t tell me his name and just asked me to call him Old Master all the time. And after I left the mountain, he refused to see me. I’m here to ask you if you know him.”
“Old Master?”
Hearing this, the old man threw him a faint smile and said, “Since you’re here, let’s talk about it inside.”
As he spoke…
The old man turned and walked inside.
“Brother John Doe, please.”
Qingshan reached out and invited John Doe to go in first.
Fang Qiu didn’t hesitate.
He immediately walked toward the pavilion.
When he walked in, he found a small farmyard before the pavilion. In addition to the four fields planted with various vegetables, a small area of land was fenced to keep a few chickens.

They walked into the pavilion.
Upon receiving a signal from the elder, Fang Qiu sat on a wooden chair.
As soon as Qingshan entered, he began making tea with familiarity.
“My little friend, is there anything special about your Old Master?”
The elder didn’t hesitate and asked as soon as he sat down.
“Old Master.”
Thinking of him, Fang Qiu paused, raised his eyebrows, and said, “He has silvery hair but no beard. Also, he has a pair of bright and piercing eyes. He looks dignified and kind, about the same age as you. It’s just that my Old Master is not in good health and coughs often. Despite that, he has always kept an upright posture, and his back is never bent.”
“Oh?”
Hearing John Doe’s description, the elder immediately cracked a smile.
Just then…
Qingshan came in with the tea.
His master took the teacup, gently skimmed off the floating tea leaves with the lid, and beamed, “It turns out that your master is him.”
“You came to the right place. I know him!”
Fang Qiu heard the positive answer.
“Really?”
He was pleasantly surprised and hurriedly asked, “Senior, could you find my Old Master?”
“I certainly could if I want to do. It’ll just be a little troublesome, at most.”
The elder answered with a smile. After taking a small sip of tea, he put the teacup on the table next to the chair and continued, “However, from what you’ve just said, he doesn’t want you to find him now, so I can’t help you. You’ll see him when he thinks it’s time to meet you. Anyway, I don’t want to create any problems..”
“Besides, that old codger has been extremely mysterious. To become his disciple is both a blessing and a curse to you. Since he doesn’t wish for you to find him, you should just mind your business.”
Fang Qiu frowned.
He had seen hope, but the elder’s following words were a disappointment.
“Senior.”
Fang Qiu got up and bowed with a hold fist salute, saying, “Please help me find my Old Master.”
“Hmm?”
The elder was slightly taken aback and said, “I’ve made it clear, and I don’t think you have any idea about human affairs. It seems you have to find him. Why?”
“To treat him.”
Fang Qiu uttered two words.
“Hehe.”
The elder chuckled, “That’s very thoughtful of you. However… give up this idea. Even that poor old devil himself couldn’t do anything about it. What do you think you can do?”
“Nothing’s impossible.”
Fang Qiu, shook his head and said with determination.
“That’s a good way to put it.”
The elder nodded with a smile and asked, “But what can you do?”
“I know some medical skills!”
Fang Qiu spoke up.
“Really?”
The elder froze and asked with interest, “Then show me what medical skills you have.”
Fang Qiu stood up.
After thinking for a while, he walked out of the door and grabbed a chicken from its coop.
“Senior, please forgive me.”
Fang Qiu said to the elder as he grabbed the chicken.
“It doesn’t matter.”
The elder waved his hand, indicating that he didn’t care.
Here…
Seeing the old man had no objection, Fang Qiu immediately broke the chicken’s foot.
Under the suppression of his internal Qi, the chicken didn’t struggle nor fly around.
After he snapped off the chicken’s foot…
Fang Qiu first showed the injury to the old man. Then, by applying the third level of boneset skill, he gently pressed his hand on the chicken foot. When his mental power instantly penetrated the foot bones, it accelerated the growth of the bone to grow back quickly.
This move…
When he provided treatment for Li Zhengtang, a highly-skilled doctor, Fang Qiu made use of this skill. Although he hadn’t used it for a long time, with the improvement of his strength and spiritual force, the effect was several times better than before.
Soon…
In the blink of an eye, the bones on the chicken’s broken foot started healing quickly and it recovered before long!
Fang Qiu finished doing all of this.
He walked up to the elder and handed him the chicken.
The old man took the chicken and had a look.
When he found the chicken’s foot bones had fully healed, he suddenly looked surprised.
Aside, Qingshan also appeared dumbfounded.
“Just now, the chicken’s bones were broken. How could it recover in such a twinkling?”
“What the hell had happened?”
“As expected, it’s impressive!”
The elder smiled and flung the chicken away. Waiting until it flew out and landed in the chicken coop, he turned around, clapped his hands, and said to Fang Qiu, “But it’s a sticky business. If you’re set to help him, I can show you a way.”
“What’s that?”
Fang Qiu asked in a great hurry.
“The third-ranked Heaven Treasure.”
The old man said, “If you can find it, it will help him. He has been searching for it for decades but never found it.”
“A few decades?”
Fang Qiu felt a shiver of surprise and immediately asked, “Senior, do you know how the Old Master was hurt and what kind of harm he sustained?”
“Alas…”
The elder sighed softly, shook his head, and said, “You are all juniors. It’s not yet the right time for you to know about it.”

Take Two!
College student majoring in botany has a fateful encounter with truck-kun while trying to get back in shape after realizing that his freshman 15 turned into the sophomore 20, and then the junior 30. After going through a very amusing(to some) hell, he gets the chance to transmigrate into a body of his own design on a magical world. Playing to his strengths, he chose the Plantkin race, and the new name of Sorrel to match. This is a slow-paced, magical, slice-of-life story with a focus on relationships. There will be sex(I'll try to keep the explicit stuff to a minimum, but it will be there), swearing, really bad jokes, and enough food to spoil your diet. There will not be a lot of action, epic quests to save the world, or anything even remotely resembling a big-bad-evil-guy(a few smaller bad guys, sure. But, no BBEG). Note: This is a re-write of my first story "Congratulations, You're Dead!". And, is much more what I wish I had written in the first place. The characters and the world are very similar, with a few key differences. The story may borrow some elements from Congrats, but should be considered as its own work. Reading Congrats first is not needed, or even reccommended, not unless you want to see some really cringey romance in the early chapters.
