《Wolf Bloodline》Lost In Direction

The cold wind was hitting us in the face, and raindrops were dripping down on us. It was as if the calm environment in the forest was suddenly covered with fear. Instead of calm air, the breath of death seemed to appear on our necks. And while I was slowly getting into a position to fight, the Prince was trying to warn us not to attract the attention of the creatures.
I then turned to face my friends, keeping my gaze fixed on the Prince's remarks.
"Can we go ashore?"
"Impossible in this case, kid! The path is very vague!"
When Hiroshi said this, Mila's worried and scared voice appeared on the back steps she was trying to take, and once again revealed how nervous she was.
"They're getting closer!"
She was scared to her core, just like any of us there.
But with Shou right beside her, that was looking around as if he was setting up a plan, gave me a different kind of feeling that he was going to do something. He looked like he was thinking about what he could do, or how we could escape, so it was a matter of time before something came from him.
And like I thought, he really gave us orders at that moment,
"When I give the signal, run east!"
In that case of scenario, we had no choice but to listen to Shou anyway.
Although the creatures were as familiar to me as nature was where I was staying, long before the adventure we started, or as I had learned before, none of us knew or could know how fast or powerful they were. In this unfamiliar forest that we didn't know, as we doubted our lives even in the entrance section where we just stopped, we had to form the courage within ourselves to go deep into it. So we waited for the sign and carefully watched the movements of Shou.

And at that time, Shou slowly and calmly turned his head to us,
"Now!"
With the signal given by Shou, we all started running at last, and we changed our direction to the east by going after him. The successive steps we took, our ceaseless breathing, and our eyes not even returning back to look, were enough to show how hastily we were trying to escape at that moment and how anxious we were. On the one hand, we were running through the relentless forest, hoping that we could finally reach somewhere, while on the other hand, Shou was cutting down the trees on our right and left in one move, creating obstacles in front of the creatures.
And when the big trees fell in front of the creatures, it gave us no time to check and kept us running for our lives.
We kept running nonstop until our feet hit the ground over and over again and their voices groaned in the sky.
And when the screams of the creatures were heard, I turned my head around and looked back and saw how they were relentlessly following us through the trees that Shou decapitated. Their outer structures, covered with the desire to kill, and their mouths flowing greedily, were a truly frightening sight to even start with.
We should have done something about it, and it had to be now.
It was only a matter of time before they caught up with us at this speed and in this crowded form. So instead of moving in a hurry, we should have found a way to stop them and continued on our way. Just then, Hiroshi pulled out his gun and began racing about while shooting. Mila, on the other hand, was using her water power to collect the puddles of raindrops and use them as a weapon against them. And although it was not very effective, we managed to slow it down.

Shou, on the other hand, was cutting down all the trees behind us as a barrier to slow down the creatures coming from behind us and continuing to escape. Of course, his incredible speed impressed me as much as possible. But at that moment, his speed created an idea in my mind.
So turning my head towards Shou, I shouted at him,
"Threw one of the trees at me! Shou!"
I wanted him to get in front of me and cut down a tree, so I could implement the plan I had in mind. And as luck would have it, Shou cut down a big tree and left it in front of us by doing what I said without hesitation. While everyone was trying to figure out what the idea was, I quickly caught the tree in the air, getting in front of my friends, before the tree fell to the ground. Calling out to Lezlie with a strong shout, I once again gave an order,
"Lezlie! Fire me up!"
Her uneasy face got sent back with the unexpected want of mine, and she quickly turned to Hiroshi, who was running beside her,
"Hiroshi! I need your cigar!"
"It went out in the rain. But here, use this."
Continuing to shoot from one side, Hiroshi threw his zippo at Lezlie. And catching the zippo in the air, Lezlie lit the zippo and cast a spell so that it would not go out in the rain, setting fire to the leaves of the tree. So, the fire of the tree, which soon ignited, grew quite large and became uncontrollable. And when the time came, taking strength from my feet, I threw the tree on my shoulder as high as I could, and Shou, who was in the air, took a reverse turn and hit the tree that had caught fire with his foot hard.
The tree that received the blow became the target of the creatures that were directly behind us. Faced with fire, the creatures suddenly retreated and stopped running, but this would not stop them.
Because they were still after us, and were chasing us.

The Book of Rune
If you like moderately well-researched semi-medieval military logistics with some fantasy twists, and also conspiracy, and exploration, and violence, and maybe a dash of road movie, hey, Ruen just might be your thing. Plot-wise, basically there's a guy who got fired by Death, a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and a slave general who wouldn't mind retiring but ended up on a mass suicide mission. If you were looking for a less TL;DR version, a guy who got fired by Death meets a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and they try to get the guy un-fired while also trying to come to terms with death together (ooohhhh, look, I'm deep). Meanwhile a slave general does something stupid and ends up being sent on a suicide mission, and he tries to wreak havoc and save lives at the same time. The threads come together, I swear. This is a rough draft of a fantasy semi-book that I've had in the back of my head for some time. I've written a variety of short stories set in the world over the past three years, and I finally kicked myself into writing the actual story. Very much a slow work in progress. Occasional violence (okay, well, maybe more than occasional), occasional foul language.

Welcome to Devos
Welcome to a world where humor, drama, and action clash in epic tales spanning a vast continent....Welcome to Devos An anime styled medieval fantasy world featuring heroes, gods, and demons in a grounded and story/character focused series. A world where the gods of power bestow elemental abilities on those they find worthy. Welcome to Devos is broken up into parts, each part is more or less a complete story that expands the world, characters, and kingdoms of Devos. It plays out a lot like Game of Thrones where instead of a lead character you have an entire cast, each one getting plenty of time to develop over the course of the series. It is a relatively grounded, character and story-driven adventure that focuses on people of interest and their relationships with each other, their nations, and the eight gods of power. While the story features a good blend of light and dark themes it can get really grim at times. The continent of Devos is comprised of 5 territories, they include the three kingdoms of Verdun, Ashmir, and Vespa along with the territories of two demon lords to the north and south. The time period and setting are basically what you would find in a fantasy anime. There are eight gods of power which wield eight different elements and have the ability to "bless" individuals with certain abilities. Monsters roam the wilderness and the ruins/dungeons that are scattered throughout the landscape. Adventurers complete quests, hunt monsters, and explore the vast continent. We've got heroes, demon lords, gods, spys, special operations assault teams, phantom eagles, kings & queens, cursed chickens, talking goblins, and a whole shit ton more already in with plenty more coming soon.
