《Wolf Bloodline》A Night Talk

After three whole days, we were continuing to travel under unknown clouds. The sun was shining on us from above, opening our way, and there was only the sea below us, with its huge size and endless deepness.
The wind that I felt on my face, and the smell I smelled, took me away from our stop for a moment, and comforted me.
Everyone was enjoying the peace given by the silence, and had been drawn to the side of the ship. Shou had regained his strength again, giving the ship its strength, keeping it afloat. He had been through more trouble than he could count, but he was quite calm, and quiet. While many of us fell silent, Dolphins were passing through the vast sea below us, spreading happiness around, and at least helping to make us forget about those painful moments. And my injuries were better than before anyway. I had received a great wound, and was deeply shaken by the facts I had faced with that woman.
Was she ever right about one thing that came out of her mouth, or was it just my overthinking among these unknown skies? Everything she said about my lineage. The deep fact of they killed many innocent people along with their enemies.
Was it just for their sake? For the achievement and to be the winning side of the war?
I didn't know. A single thing. And those wounds were another thing that wasn't going to close.
But keeping my mind away from it at that moment, my psychical wounds, did not take long for it to close thanks to my powers.
I was lost in the view. The color of scarlet fever, overlaid by an intense yellow color, and pinkish soft colors dazzled my heart as they dazzled my eyes. However, I was attracted and just then distracted by this beautiful view by something louder than its elegant silence. At that time, a familiar footstep approached me from behind. Lezlie was the one who came. All this time, we haven't been able to talk properly, so I thought she was going to ask me what was going on. But her sad face, which I noticed seconds later, was telling me the opposite.

She approached me with slow steps. First look at the view and then at my injured area as if she felt sad for me,
"Ryuu, Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, thanks. My wounds are almost completely closed. I'll be back with a healthy body before we land in the kingdom. So you don't have to worry."
"I'm very much glad to hear that." She said with a smile falling from her face,
Each word somehow managed to get out of her mouth. Covering up everything she was feeling at that moment. However, it was not possible for either of us to call this silence a normal thing. Her sad look at the saturated landscape indicated that there were more words to be said in her heart, but she fell silent, as if one word could not suit the other at this very moment.
"It looks like you are holding yourself like you wanted to hear more. Is there something bothering you?"
The shrillness of my voice had quite agitated her mind, which was at that moment covered with emotional thoughts, and had increased her attention to me. Two drops of tears that were preparing to fall from her face stopped at that moment, and she began to speak in a thin voice.
"Actually, yes."
Standing straight, she wiped the tears from her eyes,
"It's about the water of immortality. I'm thinking that... Maybe we should put that out of people's reach. To stop many people from creating another problem once again. It just-"
She was about to once again fall to the darkest parts of her imagination, clenching her skirt tightly, and making her face smaller with her lips going above her chin. She was so saddened about the fact of lost lives, and us being not able to stop them all, was impossible to us in fact, but still crushing.

But I didn't want her to fall into the same pit. Raised my hand, and stopped her and added,
"I had already thought that such a thing could happen. Every step I took there, everything I saw. From people killing each other to win, to just slaying each other's bodies for fun. All of our friends fall into the center of the danger, and just not being able to save them. I realized everything at that moment, that nothing was going to be the same if I was going to let them. "
With her mouth slowly opening and tears falling to the ground, I turned my face at her,
"Lezlie, everything is changing, and we are learning how to act properly day by day. But that doesn't mean our enemies are standing at the same spot too. They are moving, just like us. So you shouldn't go this hard on yourself. We can prevent what we can, not what we can't that will leave us away from the progression. And to think moment of time will come after us, leaving everyone on two sides, just like this, to choose who is right, and who will fall. In need to know the best knowledge we could teach them with the battles we get in, the other people that will come after us, have to learn about these. I think it is so dangerous, even was for us. And I don't think another generation could prevent the difficulties it can cause."
She was looking at my eyes, not closing them an inch, and thinking about every word I have said to her,
"To our luck that day, it disappeared with the mountain, to never be back. And I don't think anyone will be trying for more to gather the immortality water. So we have to focus on what we have in front of us, to accomplish even more, in this world full of people that are in unending pain."
Shaking herself, she wiped her eyes once more, and put a smile on her face that this time stayed firmly,
"I'm glad to hear that."
Then gathering herself, and lifting her head, she looked at me once more,
"When I told you about my dream, that is, that day, I told you not to destroy it. I tried to warn you and feared the consequences. Actually, I had a dream about my mother that day. I saw her beside me, and told me about the difficulties of the future, that giving water to a thirsty person is a sacrifice. I thought it had something to do with you, that maybe it would connect with the people I saw, as my mother said. But I think it was wrong for me to accuse it just like this. I think these were just one of the nightmares I have."
"I suppose you have done so." I said smiling at her.
