"Shay Von's calling you."Blue said while bringing me my phone.

I grabbed the phone from him and answered it.

"Hello?"

"MAN SOME BITCH ASS NIGGA DONE SHOT BOOKA. FOLKS SAY HE MIGHT NOT MAKE IT, MAN I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS SHIT!!"he yelled through the phone and I widened my eyes.

"Hold up y'all."I said while walking out into the hallway.

"Huh?"

I sighed, "Damn I'm sorry this happened babe. W- where y'all at?"

"I'm finna pull up to the hospital now."

"Okay well I'll be up there in a little bit baby just give me some time."

"Aight who with you?"

"Blue and Alexis."I said referring to my makeup artist, the one who also works in my shop now.

"You got yo shit with you?"

"Yeah always."

"It's in the car or it's with you?"

"It's with me in my purse baby."

"Aight keep it close, I love you."

"Mmk I love you too baby."

He hung up the phone and I went back to finish the shoot.

"Everything okay?"Alexis asked me and my face began to crumble as my eyes filled up with tears.

"I'm finna cry."

"Nooo don't cry Onyx."she said while standing in front of me and putting her hands on my shoulders.

I walked away from her and blinked my eyes repeatedly while fanning them, "Oh shit, give me a second."

"Come on friend you gotta get yo shoot done."Blue walked up to me and said and I nodded while taking a deep breath.

This wasn't only my maternity shoot but I was also doing this for business reasons, so it had to get done.

I walked back over to where I was standing and went ahead to finish my shoot.

Shit I wasn't even hurting for me I was hurting for Mariah and Von.

Once I finished the photoshoot, Blue and I headed to the hospital they were at.

We've been here at the hospital for two hours now and everybody's scared.

Booka is still in the back and he had to be rushed to the emergency room.

They shot him twice in his leg and once in his back.

Mariah has literally been screaming crying this whole time.

It's those words, "Booka got hit," keeps playing in her head over and over again.

Von, Muwop, Durk, Doodie, and their friend's Top and Duke, are going through it bad.

The whole mfn trap is here basically, they all fucked up about it.

Raven, Blue, and I are just here trynna comfort and be there for our friend's.

As we were sitting in the waiting room, I heard someone yelling.

It was Asian, she ran over here and kneeled down in front of Von.

I don't think she saw me but Von looked spooked as if he didn't know she would show up.

I'm not even sure why this bitch is still around to be honest.

"Ooh my gosh baby are you okay!?"

I got up and walked over to Mariah.

She was balled up in the seat with her face in her in knees.

"Mariah he's going to be okay. I'm telling you these O block and Otf niggas strong as hell, he gone make it. That's your man, Mariah you know your damn self that he's a fighter. This ain't the first time this shit has happened, he gone push right on through. Come on, give me your hands and let's pray about it."I said while rubbing her back.

She gave me her hands and I prayed for not only Booka but everybody who was involved in his life and the whole situation.

Von and Asian were the least of my worries about now.

Shit somebody else was depending on me to comfort them, I wasn't finna waste my time and energy on him.

"Family of Booka"the doctor came out and said.

"Please doc tell me something, what the fuck is going on!?"Mariah jumped up and ran to him.

"We tried everything we could but the last bullets in his back took his life."he said and Mariah began screaming to the top of her lungs.

Raven grabbed her and pulled her into a hug.

I looked around the waiting room at everybody and there was not one person who had a good look on their face.

Von was over there with Asian's annoying ass crying in her arms.

I let them be before going to sit down and keeping an eye on Mariah.

The doctor allowed her and a couple more people to go spend time with him before he was taken to the mortuary.

Von went back with Mariah and Durk.

I'm not sure if his parent's or family knew yet but at the time we were the only ones here.

Whole time Von wasn't here, Asian kept trynna make herself known to everybody.

Wasn't nobody paying her any attention.

When he did come back though this bitch never left.

She stayed at the hospital the whole time I was there and I was there not only for Mariah but him also.

Shit we stayed up there all the way up until they kicked us all out.

Instead of going home, I went to Mariah and Booka's apartment with Raven.

Yes we stayed up all night with her, shit we couldn't go to sleep.

I didn't mind though.
