Seungmin's POV
My heart pumped hard.
"W-what did you say again?" I asked
"Who is the special person?" He repeated
He opened a little cabinet, and reached his hand in to grab a glass.
"Uhm" I mumbled, "It's.."
"You want some water?" He asked, cutting me off.
"Yo-u - yes" I replied
"Yeah?" He turned his head to look at me
"Yes please, I'll have some water"
He filled both glasses up with water, and handed me one of them. My hand was shaking, but I managed to hide it just enough.
I took a big sip, and accidentally spilled a bit down my chin onto my shirt.
"What were we talking about?" He asked
"Heh" I chuckled
He smirked
"Ah, right", "so who is it?"
"It's someone you know very well" I said
He was leaning his arm on the kitchen counter until he started walking around again.
"Where do I know her from?" He asked
Her
He must've assumed I liked a girl.
"Uhm" I mumbled, nervous to tell him the truth
I kept following after him. I found it a bit weird how he couldn't stand or sit still, but it didn't bother me whatsoever. Getting a house tour was alright with me.
"How are you even sure that I know her?" He questioned me
I cleared my throat while thinking of something smart to say.
"I just know" I replied
He shrugged
"Aight"
I followed him into a small room. There was barely space for a bed and a small drawer. The window was tiny, and clothes were stacked in a corner. It seemed to be maybe a guest room, or a storage place.
He sat down on one side of the bed, and pat down next to him signaling me to sit down.

I took a quick look around before sitting down next to him. Apparently I was a bit too close, cause he scooched away from me.
"What is this room?" I asked out of curiosity
"It's just my room" he replied
"Oh" I said
That was his room? A tiny room with like, no space and no nothing? There were zero personalities or aesthetics to be found.
"Really?" I asked, just to make sure he wasn't joking around
He sighed
"Yeah"
I felt bad for asking him like I did, but it surprised me. The house itself was nice, and there were multiple decent rooms. We even walked past one of his brothers rooms, and it was just fine. This, on the other hand was filthy.
"It's cool" I lied
He stared me down
"I'm aware it's a shithole of a room"
I let out a half-suppressed laugh, not sure if I should laugh or feel bad.
"Why is it so ugly compared to all the other rooms?" I asked
He looked down at his feet.
"I don't know" he mumbled quietly
"What?" I said, not hearing him well enough.
He lifted his head up a bit
"That's just how my parents are" he said
I didn't understand what he meant.
"You're parents?" I asked
He seemed to be annoyed at all my questions.
"I guess they just don't like me" he blurted out
I tilted my head
His parents didn't like him? How could they not like a guy like Jeongin..? He was perfect in every way. There couldn't have been any valid reason to treat him differently.
Like, come on. The previous rooms looked so much better.
He didn't want to make eye contact with me. I started to worry that I might've been disrespectful earlier. I should've just minded my own business, but treating someone like this isn't ok.

"Why would they not like you?" I asked in a surprised tone
His head leaned backwards
"Would you just mind your own business for once?" He belted
"I'm sorry" I apologized, "but they can't treat you like this"
He gave me a deadly stare, and my body shrinked away from him.
"Who are you to tell my parents what to do?" He said
Oh no
This was not going how I wanted it to go. I had irritated him enough to get mad at me.
I put my hands up in an innocent way.
"I'm sorry" I apologized again, "I should've minded my own business"
My voice was much smaller than his now.
"Yeah, know your place" he said
I felt stupid. Of course I had to fuck it up again. Something happened every time.
I glanced up at him, and tried my hardest not to melt into his eyes. Even though he was mad at me, it didn't affect his looks. Somehow it made him look better.
I gave him a little smile in hopes to fix the vibe. His gaze softened, but he didn't smile back.
"You look great" I complimented him
Something happened to his whole appearance. Almost like he froze, or had no clue how to react. His eyes wandered away from me, and his harsh look was all gone.
I waited for a thank you, but he kept staring at the wall, not saying anything. About five seconds passed until he closed his eyes as if he though about something.
"So, uhm" I broke the silence, "what's your favorite color?"
He opened his eyes, and clenched his jaw.
"Black" he replied
"Cool, I like purple"
I thought of something to add onto my sentence.
-"I really like ur purple hoodie" I added
He looked down at the hoodie he was wearing as if I was talking about that one.
"The one you wore at camp" I explained
He nodded
"Thanks"
I smiled again
"You know what else I like?"
This was my chance
These weird beeping sounds occurred out of nowhere. If I had to guess what it was, It sounded like someone tried to open a door. The front door, possibly.
"Shit!" Jeongin stood up from the bed
His eyes widened
Naturally, I stood up along with him.
"They're home" his voice shivered
He looked extremely scared and desperate. I had never seen him like this before.
"You need to hide" he said, pushing my shoulder to nowhere
"What?"
He looked around, and opened a small closet. I had no clue if I'd even fit in there.
"Get in" he whispered desperately
"Alright, alright" I responded
He helped me get in with an aggressive push before closing the door in my face.
What the hell was going on?
