《Darkest Hero》sin incarnate part 2

Pandemonium broke out among the arena. Students from anything other than the hero classes were rushing to escape the stands while the heroes present were having a hard time moving through the crowds to the pair of figures slowly rising into the air through a beam of red light. Across the city several other red beams were visible amists ash choked clouds which appeared from nowhere. Orange lightning arked through the sky with thunderous booms as inhuman screeching seemed to echo in and out of existence.
"No..." Stain choked as he twitched violently. His eyes staring ahead at seemingly nothing, his sword still held firmly in his grip shook as if hammers were slamming against its surface. "Nonononono! Staybackstaybackstayback! STAY BACK MONSTER!"
"It won't budge!" Ibara grunted as her vines hit uselessly against the red light, unable to reach the two trapped inside.
"Charlie, can you do anything?!" Izuku asked in panic.
"It's ritual barrier magic, if I tried to breach it it'd be like setting off a nuclear bomb of magic in the middle of the city." Charlie replied right as the hero Death arms tried to shoulder tackle the barrier only to be sent flying backwards singed and smelling of brimstone.
"HEY I WASN'T DONE WITH SHITTY FACE!" Bakugo screamed through the pain as he launched an explosion against the blade. It was useless, the blade held firm. "Fucker." The blonde hissed as blood seeped from between his gritted teeth.
A bolt of lightning raced from the sky, splitting apart into several different branches, each headed for one of the glowing pillars. As if hit by an invisible baseball batter stain and Bakugo were sent flying off towards the city, exactly in the middle of the seven pillars of red light.
"ATTENTION EVERYONE!" Nezu's voice boomed over the stadium speakers. "ALL ABLE BODIED HEROES START IMMEDIATE CITYWIDE EVACUATION! I REPEAT ALL ABLE BODIED HEROES START IMMEDIATE CITYWIDE EVACUATION! FULL QUIRK USE IS AUTHORISED UNDER EMERGENCY INVASION LAWS H-591 AND H-592, THREAT LEVEL IS TIGER AND EXPECTED TO RISE TO GOD WITHIN 48 HOURS. I REPEAT THREAT LEVEL IS EXPECTED TO RISE TO GOD!"
If it wasn't pandemonium before, Nezu's announced followed by sirens long since forgotten from the 2nd world war blaring to life all over the city certainly made it so.
Up in the stands Beru was fumbling with her phone, trying to get ahold of her husband to get the kids. Unfortunately the brewing unnatural storm was messing with civilian communications.
"Beru-san. Let me help." Inko offered as a inky black miasma appeared between them before it shifted showing a toad like man in a suit rushing around trying to evacuate an office.
"Ganma!" Beru cried causing the man to falter and look in shock at the miasma. "They're evacuating the city, I need you to grab the kids and go."
"What about you and Tsu?!" Ganma croaked in shock.
"We'll be fine, just get the little ones and get out of the city." Beru shot back with a shake of her head.
"I'll send a guard." Inko inputted as a pale clown with a cut out grin and stapled open eyes slinked out of a shadow next go Ganma. "Jester, protect the humans. We will not let the wild ones ruin another world."

"Yessss." The clown rasped scaring the shit out of ganma who hadn't noticed them until this point. "And ifffffff they come?"
"Then rip them apart." Inko ordered flatly. "If one single hair is harmed on their heads you're going back in the sensory deprevation tank again."
"Yessss leviathan." Jester rasped with a stiff bow before the miasma faded away.
"Creepy fucker." Mistuki shuddered as she eyed the last wisps of smoke warily.
"What's going on?" Beru asked looking worried as Inko stood up.
"Demonic invasion by feral demons." Inko replied shortly as another blast of lightning shot out, this time between the main pillars of light forming a circle of supernatural energy above the city. "Nezu!"
"Yes?" Nezu asked popping out from under a nearby seat that was covered in spilt popcorn.
"!" Mitsuki shrieked in fear as she clutched at her chest.
"Eep!" Eri shrieked as she jumped onto Toga's back, not having expected the principal to appear like that. The blonde cenobite merely blinked as she looked back at her future sister in law.
"Some friends of yours are in the city, I expect they'd have wards up to help contain the invasion." Inko supplied as she handed the business card Beru had given her before to Nezu.
"Oh my, pine tree is still around." Nezu chuckled, his voice taking on an echo like quality. "You all be safe. Miss Eri, feel free to call Mr Squishy."
"Yay! Mr Squishy gets to play!" Eri cheered aloud as she raised her fist before shouting, "MR SQUISHY! TIME TO PLAY!"
In the dorms across campus, barely audible above the screaming of people still trying to get out of the arena and the distant air raid sirens the sound of smashing windows could be heard as a large black shape larger than all might shot through the air towards the stadium.
Beru shrieked in fear and Mitsuki fell on her ass as the Nomu slammed into the stadium next to Eri and blinked lazily as it waited for its commands.
"Mr Squishy, there's bad demons in the city, " Eri ordered with a serious expression which just looked adorable on her. The Nomu merely blinked before looking beyond Eri and towards the storm above the city. With a blast of air the creature jumped off towards the city, intent on fulfilling Eri's orders.
"Rip...butts...mouth." Toga hummed as she quickly typed up something her phone.
"Uh wha?" Beru uttered in shock.
"KIDS! Over here now!" Inko called as she waved at the hero course students. Of course 1A were the first to respond along with Vaggie and Ibara but soon enough 1B was warily following behind them as both groups rushed out onto the field, meeting half way. "Listen Nezu is right things are getting beyond dangerous, we don't have long before a full breach occurs and demonic invasion happens. When it happens I don't want any of you holding back, aim to kill as they'll do the same."
"You can't be serious, this just has to be some weird quirk." Beru croaked.

"As I said before, demon invasion beru-san." Inko replied.
"It's true mum." Tsuyu croaked. "I've been in hell before, reminds me of Detroit Kero."
"Hey! That's insulting to Pentagram." Vaggie huffed. "Detroit is twice as bad."
Beru could only gulp nervously at the news, her daughter was easily caught when lying since it caused her left eye to twitch slightly. Given there was no twitch it meant her daughter really had been in hell.
"When the breach occurs I'll call in some of my followers to deal with the ferals." Inko waved it off. A good chunk of the gathered students flinched at that anouncment and Momo had several blades sprout from her arms causing Izuku and Ochako who were next to her to jump back slightly. "Relax, It'll be no more than two dozen and only to keep evacuation areas safe."
"I'll call IMP." Charlie volunteered as she waved her hand and a pentagram made of magic appeared before her. "Excuse me, I'll be back in a moment." She added before slipping off to the side.
"Miruko will surely of called her parents by now." Nezu hummed aloud.
"Oh? Who is the rabbit hero's parents Kero?" Beru asked as red lightning flashed and thunder boomed overhead.
"The Slayer and Daisy of course." Vaggie sighed.
"B J Blaskovich and his second wife?" Inko asked with a raised eyebrow. "I think I still owe him for telling me about dimension H3n41A."
"Hehe." Reiko snickered to herself.
"Such pervertedness." Tokoyami sighed while his twin nodded in agreement.
"I didn't need to hear that mum." Izuku groaned as his skull burst into flames with the intensity of his embarrassment.
"Hey Inks, think you can bring me and Masura along next time you visit?" Mitsuki asked. "You know... Provided we survive that is."
"Miss Yaoyorozu, I'd recommend making as many silver weapons as you could for your classmates." Nezu cut off any reply before pulling out his phone and tapping away rapidly. "Why won't grandfather pick up?"
[Elsewhere in Japan in a waffle shop.]
People were gathered around watching the small TV in the corner of the room of looking out the window at the brewing storm in the distance. However one patron of the diner was content to hum to themselves as he enjoyed his second plate of maple syrup and jam smothered waffles while bohemian rhapsody played from his headset. Mentally, he made a note to see if Freddy Mercury who sang the song would like another shot on earth, if only to make more such music for humanity to enjoy.
[Back at UA.]
Another bolt of lightning struck towards the school, this one racing right for the students only to his a semi translucent yellow barrier. Nezu frowned as he held out his paw, his eyes glowing a bright yellow with black slitted pupils visible. "Right, I'm going to get pinetree and shooting star, be back in a bit." The rodent spoke with an echoing quality to his voice before he dove back under the seats.
Beru, being curious peaked under the seat only to see that there was literally nothing there, not even a vent that the principal could of went into.
"Yeah. We had the same reaction." Jirou shrugged before looking at Ochako. "Your parents going to be safe?"
"They should be." The bob haired girl nodded. "They're out in Kyoto helping with construction efforts to fix up an old shrine."
"Why aren't you panicking?!" Beru hissed out as another bolt of lightning shot out of the central storm.
"Well I kinda already died, it sucked sure but unless they have soul destroying weapons I'll just end up back in hell." Vaggie shrugged.
"Honestly? I'm internally screaming." Reiko admitted.
"I've seen worse." Jirou sighed in resignation earning a raised eyebrow from the others. "I was eight when the terrorist attack at Tokyo Trade center happened, my obasan had taken me to some convention when it happened and we got caught in the middle."
"That was the one rumoured to be MLA right?" Toru's voice asked from nowhere causing people to jump. "Hey! Did you all forget I was here?!"
"I didn't." Mei giggled perversely as she wriggled her eyebrows at what looked like a patch of empty space.
"Oh goody, It's about time." Inko rolled her eyes as a massive burst of energy shook over the stadium leaving a glowing green miasma of energy sitting in the middle of the arena, two figures silhouetted within the miasma walked forward revealing themselves to those present. "Vato max yu outlander Blaskovich, kar en tuk."
The hulking armor clad man stopped in his stride, his masked head turned to the group and a single rasping sentence was heard from within his helmet right as the storm reached critical mass and a massive behemoth of a creature appeared in the city. It's skin a sickly leather like texture two feet thick and etched in runes, it's hands ended in blackened and blood soaked talons. It's head was stripped of its flesh leaving behind only muscle and a pentagram carved into it's skull exposing its brain to open air.
It flung it's head skyward as a bone rattling howl echoed through the air shattering windows and striking fear into the hearts of those who bore witness as hordes descended from smaller portals forming by the creature's feet.
"Sef Huka jaata, satu yor ret juk." The slayer spoke as he gestured before him.
"You have a lot of nerve summoning us here whoever you are." The tan skinned rabbit woman in green armor translated.
"We can worry about that later, for now we have a problem." Izuku spoke up as he gestured out at the city.
The Slayer turned his head towards the behemoth in the distance and cracked his knuckles.
The woman gave a savage smirk and a dark chuckle as she cracked her neck. "You're huge... That means you have huge guts to rip and tear... "
The creature despite being too far away to of heard this declaration turned to face then and snarled. The battle for Yueii prefecture had begun.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
