《My Innocent Flower ( Jasper Hale x Maleoc)》Chapter 20: Disconected

Jasper went down to the living room where Sammy went. Only to see him in the middle of the stairs. And that's when Jasper heard the yelling.
"How was I supposed to know that he was going to hear me? It's not my fault! He should just grow up and stop acting like a -"
That's when Jasper carefully and quickly picked Sammy up. An went back to their room.praying to the heavens that it is sound proof.
As suddenly it was quiet.
Even though they were in the quiet room Jasper still hadn't let go of Sammy. An Sammy himself didn't mind it. Jasper was walking around in their room and bouncing Sammy who liked it.
What Sammy said next made Jasper stop moving.
"Can I call my mommy?" Sammy asked as he was laying his head on Jaspers shoulder.
'He wants to leave?'
Jasper didn't want his mate to leave,. He knows that it just might be what Bella said to him. But he loves him and doesn't want to let him go.
"I haven't talked to her in a while and last time I tried to she didn't picked up. I haven't heard from her." Sammy said.
Jasper was lost for words.
'he wasn't leaving him?'
"Wait little flower your not leaving?" Jasper and to make sure.
"No! Of course not. Why would I want to leave you! I love you Jazzy!" Sammy said while kissing Jasper on the lips.
Jasper smiled at what Sammy said. An just overall glad, that he wasn't leaving. Jasper and Sammy both smiled and hugged each other tightly. Jasper held onto him a bit tighter as he was still carrying him.
Jasper set Sammy down and went out of the room to go and get the home phone.

Luckily Rene's number was in the drawer that the phone was on.
Jasper came back he put the number in the phone and gave it to Sammy. After that Jasper sat down and pulled Sammy onto his lap. Once they got comfortable Jasper hit the green talk button.
Ring.
Ring.
Ring.
"We're sorry the number you have dialed is no longer active please try again or type in a different number."
Sammy frowned at the phone and looked up to Jasper who also thought the same thing.
'what was going on?'
Sammy asked Jasper to dial the number a couple more times before eventually giving up. Sammy clung onto Jasper as he dug his face into Jaspers neck while asking to the same question that broke Jasper's hear.
"Why?"
Sammy was still clinging to Jasper even though time has past. He doesn't understand why his mommy would disconnected her phone number. Many thoughts ran through his head and many more continue to overpower the last one.
"I'm sorry. I wish I could do something but without knowing where she's at. Or having no contact with her, we can't do anything." Jasper said while holding Sammy tightly and kissing his head.
Sammy looked up at Jasper with a wobbling lip nodding his head knowing that it's true but hoping that there's another way.
"Can-can we ask Izzy she might know?" Sammy said.
While looking Jasper in his golden eyes, now the same as Sammy's own golden eyes.
Jasper sighs knowing that he might be right, but with the way that she is. He doesn't want to risk it. But it indeed is strange that she cut off her own number. It was the only way that they can contact them.
"I'll see what I can do. Can you do me a favor and keep your friends company while I talk with the others?" Jasper asked.

Gently putting Sammy on their bed and turning on the TV waiting for his reply.
Sammy hesitated and looked at his little flower friend looking to glowing plants. Seeing them still there as there leaves were waving for him to come and play.
Sammy giggled and looked to Jasper and nodded his head watching the T.V. While also going to them, and giving them a crayon and a piece of paper to draw on.
Jasper smiled and watched for some time the flowers and leaves and vines all around coloring. Periodically touching him, almost like Jasper does making sure that he's still there and in reach. Sammy though doesn't seem to mind at all. He even leans into it, like he does with Jasper when he does the same thing.
Jasper quietly opens the door and walks out. Knowing that he'll be okay with his flowers. After all, they are apart of each other.
He walks down the the stairs no longer hearing any yelling. He walks down all the way only to see them all tense looking and angry. Hopefully this doesn't last, sure Jasper is angry at Bella and he may even really dislike her.
But Sammy loves his sister, though maybe it lessened. He's not sure.
But he still would never do anything to make him sad.
"Is this a bad time?" Jasper ask.
Not sure what to do in this situation.
Esme turned to her son and sees that Sammy isn't with him. But knowing that he heard the yelling and came down not that long ago.
Esme shook her head though they're all still tense.
"No honey is there something wrong?" Esme asks.
"Sammy tried to dial Rene's number but...The operator on the phone is saying that the number is disconnected." Jasper said.
Remembering the look on Sammy's face when they kept trying. Only for them to get the same operator and the same voice message.
"Well that's certainly weird, she hasn't said anything about that." Esme said and she tried to remember if she got anything.
The other's over hearing this looked up. An go over to Jasper thinking the same thing.
"Sammy wants to see if 'sighs' Bella knew anything about this. Or if she has any idea what's going on. An if there's another way to contact her."
Bella who was looking out the window and thinking of why indeed her mother would do that. Heard her name being called and looked to the others. She just shook her head and looked back out the window. Taking out her phone and walking to the other room and calling her mom wondering if it's true.
Ring. Ring. Ring.
"Well hello there I was wondering when you were going to call your dear sweet mother. After all it's been what? Days has it been of weeks? No matter now, you've called now and in return. I'll tell you and the others what's going on. I mean I did help you with dear little Sammy look at him now. He's not dying or ever will die how nice was I to do that?"
Everyone was looking at Bella already overhearing what was going on and not liking it.

My Good Friend Murphy
***Disclaimer*** I wrote and am writing this purely for my own amusement. That means that this could have major revisions done to it sporadically, it has more grammar errors than even the most mentally stable grammar nazi could withstand, and will not update at all regularly. This is an ad-hoc fun experimental work with forced motives, plotholes, and static characters. Don't expect too much. That said, this mutated mistake of a short novella follows a ditzy MC who has been transported to a new world with the dubiously useful skills origin and enigma and the obnoxiously imbalanced skill, traveler. If you'd like more incentive to give it a shot, you will never get spoilers about the plot because there isn't one (Actual synopsis coming soon, relative to eternity)
