《The Secretary》Its A Surprise

Running into the zoo as if I was 5, Jensen chased after me, quickly grabbing me by the hips and picking me up, bringing me close to his chest. I squealed with the movements as they quickly brought a smile to my face.
"We still have to pay to get in Y/n." Jensen laughed as he bought the day passes.
Finally we were free to go and explore. Jensen laughed as I ran around gazing at all of the animals, stopping in front of the lions.
"Oh my god, just look at their furry manes, and their tails! I'm in love." I squealed, not realizing as Jensen snapped a picture of me while my forehead was pressed to the glass with a lion pressing his own forehead to the glass just in front of me.
We walked away, grabbing cotton candy from a stand.
Jensen broke a piece of cotton off as he spoke, "I was wondering, what's your spirit animal?" He asked, stuffing the cotton into his mouth.
"You're into that kinda stuff?" I asked, grabbing a piece of candy myself.
"No, but I think that if you had one, then it would be a lion." He said.
"And why is that?"
"Well, the way you had a connection with that lion back there. Not only that, but you're also brave, protective, playful, fierce, intelligent, talented, strong, majestic-"
"Okay, okay, you don't have to say all that, besides, I don't have the strength a lion has."
"Are you kidding? You're stronger than any girl I know, mentally and physically. How do you not see that? I mean you've known me for how many years, putting up with all that shit I put you through and yet here you are, still by my side." He said.

He leaned in, kissing my cheek. "Thanks for that by the way."
I felt my cheeks fume up at his gesture, my eyes casting down at the floor, my heart fluttering, but why?
Jensen is cute, I'll admit that, but I'm nothing to him than just a friend. And that's all he is. He's just a friend.
Just a friend. Like anyone would believe that lie.
Ignoring his 'thank you' I practically ran to the side of the tiger cage, looking for one of the striped animals.
"Y/n," Jensen has said, turning my head a little to the right of where I was previously looking, where a tiger sat patiently behind the glass, as if waiting for me to notice it.
"Jensen, just look at him. Isn't he just beautiful?" I asked Jensen as I approached the animal, placing my hand on the glass. "Look at those eyes, and the stripes. Just look at him." I said, the animal raising it's paw to the other side of the glass.
Jensen smiled as he watched the connection between the dangerous animal and I, both on opposite sides of the glass, yet still making the same relation.
Almost in union, the tiger lowered it's giant paw the same time as I took away my hand. The giant cat seemed to nod at me before he turned away and disappeared into the scenery of his exhibit.
I turned back to Jensen, only to find him smiling at me, yet deep in thought, with the expression of amazement.
"Jensen? Your head in the clouds?" I said, waving my hands dramatically in front of his face.
He quickly snapped back into reality and glancing at the glass where the tiger previously stood. "Where'd the tiger go?"
I simply shook my head and grabbed his hand, pulling him away from the tiger enclosure.

He followed without protest, and enclosed his hand around mine, making a tighter hold. It was at this moment I was glad that he couldn't see my face, I could feel the blush practically glowing.
He is just a friend. Take control of yourself, you're not one of his office flings. I reminded myself.
Jensen quickly came to my side, and leaned down to whisper in my ear.
"You wanna see something?" He asked. It wasn't seductive, nor was it flirty. Just a simple question waiting for an answer.
"Sure, what is it?" I asked him.
"Surprise." He said as he pulled me along. He was practically jogging to get there, which only made my excitement grow.
Without letting me get a glimpse of where we were going he quickly led me up some stairs, and choose 2 seats, having me sit in one, with him on my left.
I looked around, trying to figure out what was going on, only no one else was around, and there was a huge auditorium in front of where we sat.
Confusion settled in, and I found myself asking, "What are we doing?"
"It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you what we were doing now would it?" He said, leaning back in his chair.
"Jensen seriously, what are we doing here?"
"Just wait." He said, leaning his head back to rest on the top of the stadium chair, with his eyes closed.
I sat and waited, still getting a look around to see if I could find any clues as to what we were doing. After some time of looking and searching, I leaned back in my chair out of boredom and annoyance.
"Need a hint?" Jensen asked without opening his eyes.
"I think so, depending on what you're planning."
"Go up on stage and you'll find out." He said, still leaned back and completely relaxed.
"Okay..." I said as J stood up and questionably walked to the stage.
"Jensen there is nothing down here, just me." I yelled up to him.
"Go to the center of the stage." He proceeded to give me direction. "And follow every single thing that I say."
"Okay, this is stupid." I mumbled under my breath.
"I heard that." He called out.
"Okay I'm in center stage, now what?"
"Proceed to walk 20 steps to your left."
"Okay?" I said as I started counting and walking left.
"Good now, walk 40 steps to your right."
I turned back around and walked the exact amount to my right.
"Now walk 20 steps to your left again."
"I ended where I started."
"Good that's where you are supposed to be. Now, take one step back, and whatever you do, do not move after you put your leg down."
I took one step back, almost losing balance as my foot landed in a pressure plate. A small door opened up in front of me, and a small gift was on top of a wooden table that was slowly lifted out of the floor.
"Now open the box." Jensen whispered in my ear.
"Holy shit Jensen." I said as I jumped away from him. "When did you get behind me?"
"Just open the box."
"What's in it?" I asked as I proceeded to open the small gift.
"It's a surprise."

The Book of Rune
If you like moderately well-researched semi-medieval military logistics with some fantasy twists, and also conspiracy, and exploration, and violence, and maybe a dash of road movie, hey, Ruen just might be your thing. Plot-wise, basically there's a guy who got fired by Death, a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and a slave general who wouldn't mind retiring but ended up on a mass suicide mission. If you were looking for a less TL;DR version, a guy who got fired by Death meets a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and they try to get the guy un-fired while also trying to come to terms with death together (ooohhhh, look, I'm deep). Meanwhile a slave general does something stupid and ends up being sent on a suicide mission, and he tries to wreak havoc and save lives at the same time. The threads come together, I swear. This is a rough draft of a fantasy semi-book that I've had in the back of my head for some time. I've written a variety of short stories set in the world over the past three years, and I finally kicked myself into writing the actual story. Very much a slow work in progress. Occasional violence (okay, well, maybe more than occasional), occasional foul language.

The Summoner's Call
No schedule. The first 20 or so chapters have a little cringe-inducing English. The story is slow and summoning spells are actually scarcely shown at the beginning. Dazai x reader - sleeping beauty
So I've got a lot to say: This is a slowly progressing romance, Dazai x reader of course! Oops spoiler (๑>◡Also, I'm focusing more on the plot/ character development for the time being, so don't expect too much mushy stuff. (I don't paragraph space between quotes in fan fictions or else it would be waaaay too long because I tend to write a lot... so all you grammar nazis, just know I did this intentionally)I had a lot of fun writing it, so I hope you like it!
