《The Secretary》Home Again

When we got back to Jensen's house, all the lights were shut off, and the door locked.
As I waited for Jensen to unlock the door with one hand, his other hand holding onto mine, I couldn't help but wonder why he stayed with me so long in the hospital.
Jensen opened the door and pulled me inside after him, taking me to kitchen, and sitting me down on a bar stool next to the counter.
"Let's clean that up okay?" He said.
"Clean up what?" I asked him before he left my side.
He pointed to my arm where the IV used to be. It was bloody, as expected, but even more so due to the needle tearing new skin as it ripped out.
Jensen kneeled down and reached into one of the cupboards, pulling out a first aide kit. He reached in and pulled out a gauze, some medical tape, and an antiseptic wipe.
"This might sting a little, but I have to clean it up okay. Don't freak out on me." Jensen said. I couldn't tell if he was joking or not.
He pressed the antiseptic wipe onto the cut directly, and cleaning the rest of the blood of my arm with a wet towelette. I could feel the alcohol of the antiseptic cleaning my wound, and like Jensen said, it stung, but not enough that I couldn't bear it.
After Jensen cleaned the wound, he pressed a gauze to it to stop the bleeding, even though it seemed as only a little was bleeding.
"Tell me if it's to tight okay?" He asked as he glanced up at me while pulling out the medical tape.
I nodded my head, watching as his calloused hands moved the tape easily around my arm, and watching as his arm flex as he ripped the tape, cutting it.

"We'll leave that one for a little bit, then later I'll give you an actual bandage okay?" He said as he cleaned everything up, putting it all back into the medical kit, and putting the kit back into the cupboard.
I watched him as he did so, seemingly unfazed that I freaked on him earlier. He did the dishes that were in the sink, rinsing off the dishes, and then putting them into the dishwasher.
His phone started ringing, without looking up his said, "Could you grab that for me?"
"Sure." I said as I reached across the counter and checked the caller ID. It was just Jared.
"Hey Jared." I said, pressing the phone to my ear.
"Jensen, where's y/n? I took Jj to the hospital because she really wanted to see her, but the chick at the desk said she wasn't there." Jared said quietly and quickly.
"Jared, I want to see her!" I heard Jj whine in the background.
"Jared, it's me y/n." Was all I could get out.
"Y/n?! Where are you? And why do you have Jensen's phone? Did you steal it from him and run? I know how much you hate hospitals and I swear to god if you did anything to-"
"Jared! Stop! I'm right next to Jensen. I'm at his house okay? Everything is fine. I just had a freak at the hospital but I'm fine now okay. Everything's good." I quickly cut him off.
"How do I know you're not lying?" Jared asked, well more like sneered.
I scoffed and put the phone on speaker.
"Jared stop giving her crap. She already has enough on her plate. And before you ask, I signed her out of the hospital when the doctor came in." He said.

"Wait what?" I said, shocked. Technically you can't sign out of a hospital until your doctor allows you to, especially for my case.
Jensen looked at me, 'I'll explain later.' He mouthed. I nodded my head, showing him that I understood.
"Oh." Jared's voice cracked through the phone. "Jared, where are we going? I want to see Y/n!" I heard Jj squeal.
"Jared put Jj on the phone." I said.
"Okay." I heard Jared say as he handed the little girl the phone. One all of the noise settled on the other end, I spoke.
"Jj?" I asked. No answer. "Jj, it's me
y/n. Can you hear me?"
"Yeah I can hear you. Where are you?" She asked.
"Well I'm not in the hospital anymore, I'm at your dad's. Did you still want to go to the beach with me?"
"Yeah! And I wanna go swimming with you in the ocean too, and make sandcastles with you, and-"
"Okay, okay Jj. We can still go, we just have to check with your dad first okay?"
"Okay." She said.
I looked at Jensen, who was staring at me with a smirk on his face. "Of course we can still go."
Jj screamed on the other end. "Jared guess what? I'm going to the beach with y/n and Jensen because they're awesome! And there's nothin' you can do about it!"
Jensen and I burst out laughing at Jj's little remark.
"You guys are going to the beach?" Jared's voice rang though.
"Yeah, listen Jar, I have some explaining to do so can I call you back?" Jensen said.
"Yeah that's fine, when do you want to pick up Jj?" He asked.
"We'll drop by around 5 or 6 tonight okay?"
"Alright sounds good. See you guys later then?"
"Yeah." Jensen said then took the phone from my hand and ended the call.
"I think I have some explaining to do." He said as he walked around the counter, walking up to my side.
"And I have a few question I would like to ask."
He smiled a little and looked to the floor, then back up at me, sitting down in the barstool next to me.
"Ask away." He said, taking my hand in his.
