《The Secretary》Perfect

I packed the last shirt in my suitcase and zipped it up, pulling out my phone, calling Jensen.
"Hey, what's up?" He asked.
"I'm all packed up and ready to go. What about you and Jj?" I asked him.
"Jj is good to go, she just needs to do her hair, which she asked me to help her with but I have no idea what I'm doing, and as for me, I've been playing with her to much to get anything done." He said.
I couldn't help but laugh.
"Well Mr. Ackles, sounds like you could use some help over there. Need me to come over?" I asked him.
"Could you? I haven't even started thinking about what I'm going to pack."
"You should probably start on that Ackles." I joked.
"Yeah, oh and bring your suitcase. You'll be spending the night here anyways." He said as I heard Jj squeal in the background.
"Okay, I'm on my way now." I said as I threw my suitcase into the backseat of my white Silverado.
"Alright see you soon y/n." Jensen said.
"See you soon Ackles." I said and hung up, climbing into the driver's seat and turning the engine.
I pulled out of the driveway to my apartment complex, and started towards Jensen's house.
Everything was great. Jensen was back, the sun was shinning, the birds were chirping, the weather was spectacular, the green on the trees deeper than ever before. It was perfect.
Just as I was calm and everything seemed perfect, my phone started blaring with Jeremy's ringtone. I answered the call.
"Hey Jeremy, I'm on my way to Jensen's house right now, is it alright if I call you back later?"
"Y/n, this is Jeremy's sister, Cadelle. Jeremy been in an accident, we're at the hospital now."

"Oh my, okay, I'll be there in a few minutes. Just tell him to hold on." I said as I hung up and called Jensen.
"Hey, I thought-" He started.
"Jensen, it's Jeremy, he was in an accident, I'm headed to the hospital now, I don't know if I'll be with you guys on the trip."
"What? Okay, do you need me to come meet you?" He asked.
"No, it's alright. Stay with Jj, she needs you. I have to go okay?"
"Okay, we'll see you later then?"
"Yes." I said then hung up.
I slammed my foot into the gas pedal, pushing it the the floor, weaving through cars on the road. I finally reached the hospital, and quickly threw my Silverado into park.
I jumped out and ran inside, quickly running up to the receptionist.
"My little brother Jeremy Rutkins was just in a car accident, I need to see him." I lied. Was he my little brother? Technically no, but it did feel like that at times.
The receptionist quickly went through the list of patients, scrolling through everyone.
"Miss, I'm sorry but there is no Jeremy Rutkins here. Are you sure you're at the right hospital?" She asked, glancing up at me before turning back to the list of patients.
"Am I sure? Of course I'm damn sure! This is the only damn hospital in town!" I yelled. "Look again!" I said, pointing to the list.
She scrolled through again, and again, still not finding his name.
"Miss, I'm sorry but he isn't here. There hasn't even been an accident today, at least not yet anyway."
"What do you mean there hast been an accident? Jeremy's sister wouldn't have called me and told me that my best friend was in a car accident and that they emerge in the hospital for a joke! She would've called me back and told me it was a joke! Look again!" I yelled.

"Miss I will not say this again so listen very carefully, Jeremy Rutkins is not in this hospital? And he probably wasn't in an accident. You need to take a few deep breaths and calm down." She said.
"Calm down? Calm down?! Don't tell me to calm the fuc-"
"Y/n?" I heard Jeremy's voice call out from behind me. I spun around on my heel as quick as my body would let me.
"Jeremy?" I asked, and there he was. Standing there, perfectly fine, no cuts, no bruises. Not even a little hair on his head had been scathed.
I ran up to him, wrapping my arms around him. Then pulling away almost as fast as I pulled him in.
"What the hell is wrong with you, having your sister tell me that. You had me worried sick you doofus. I thought you had been hurt, or worse, don't you ever do that to me again." I said, sounding like his mother.
"Yeah, yeah. Okay mom." He said sarcastically. "Now come on, you have a lot of explaining to do." He said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and led me out of the hospital, walking me through the parking lot.
He started asking me all these questions about Jensen, about Jensen's daughter, how Jensen and I met, how we figured out Jensen had a daughter.
"Jeremy, wait. Why are you asking me all of this? Why do you want to know so much about Jensen and Jj?" I asked him, skeptical about his questions.
"Oh you know, just curious." He shrugged.
"Curiosity killed the cat you know." I said.
"Yes, but satisfaction brought it back." He retorted.
"Smart ass." I said, shoving him.
"Ow!" He whimpered, and grabbed his arm. "Real nice way to treat someone who was just in a car crash." He joked.
"Haha, you're so funny, I'm laughing so hard." I said sarcastically, punching his arm.
We got to my truck, when I suddenly had a horrible feeling in my gut. It was just then I felt Jeremy's hand on the side on my head, and a force that slammed my head into my Silverado repeatedly.
Next thing I knew I was on the floor, watching as Jeremy placed a hand over my mouth as he pulled out a knife and stabbed my thigh.
My vision began to blur, and Jeremy stood up after yanking out the knife and ran off.
The last thing I saw was Jensen's tears running down his face as he screamed for help.

Points of Light - An Oral History of the Collapse
Humanity endures. The phrase is not only an informal slogan of the reformed United Nations, but a rallying cry the world over. Even in the face of extermination, we struggled, we fought, and we endured. But just how close did we actually come? In our darkest hour, how many steps separated our species from oblivion? And are we even safe now? Were the mistakes made by earlier generations really so obvious? Or are they only so blatent when we look back with the advantage of hindsight? If so, what horrors might be staring us in the face even now that no one has the foresight to prevent? Drawn from thousands of interviews, as well as uncorrupted contemporary recordings and source documentation dating back to the early 2000s; Points of Light is a definative look at the last half century of upheaval, prosperity and carnage. It tells the tale of what happened, how it happened, who was responsible and most importantly, what we might be able to do to prevent it from happening again. This is a rewrite of a previously started fiction under a pen-name. Chapters will be updated every two days at 6:00 EST.

A Cleric's Life for me.
This is a casually written story loosely based on TTRPG games like DnD and Pathfinder. The attempt of the story is to have a slow growth in power and comical set of characters who eventually grow close and set off for more serious adventures. There will be plenty of familiars and funny tales that don't involve combat. The intention is not to be a goody-two-shoes cleric story where nothing bad happens. The intention for this story was a slow paced grungy story where everything seemed great at first and things just kept getting worse. I learned how shitty of a story that is to write and honestly I am just not good enough to get the idea down. I plan on revisiting it later.
