Loki ran to his room when he heard Astrid crying. She was very clingy today, so he stayed in his room with her. Loki sat down on his bed and let Astrid sit on his lap facing him. She started babbling randomly. That's until Astrid pointed to him and said "Dada!" Loki quickly set his book down, he was smiling so much. He started praising her "yes darling, I am your dad, good job!" Thor walked in after hearing all the noise, Astrid was just repeating the word, "dada" and "dada" over and over again. Thor was very proud of his niece, and Loki was proud of his daughter.
Loki and Thor were trying to get Astrid to crawl for a while. But she would just sit there laughing and how stupid they looked. Loki was playing with Astrid when she slowly started crawling. Loki saw out of the corner of his eye, he tried to not freak out. She eventually got over to her father and then he freaked out, Loki went to find Frigga and tell her, she was talking to Thor, Loki busted through the door and said, "Astrid crawled!" Thor sprang up from his chair and took Astrid from Loki and spun her around. Frigga was also happy, not so much because she crawled but by how much her sons were finally getting along. Thor put Astrid down and she crawled to Frigga and made grabby hands at her. Frigga picked her up and sat her on her lap.
Loki wasn't ready to give Astrid her nursery, but he had to. It admitted to getting emotional when all the baby stuff was moved. Thor just bulled him about it, she was in the room across from him. Loki was being so bossy about everything, he wanted everything perfect for his daughter.

It was quite a day, Loki didn't want a late-night with Astrid, Odin commented "It's a party one night won't hurt you or her." Loki responded, "Says the person who doesn't deal with her cries and all the late nights with little to no sleep." The party came to a close at 3:00 pm. Astrid wore a little ball gown and had a cake, there was more cake on her face than in her mouth, everyone was grossed out by her except Thor, Frigga, and Loki. Odin and Loki made a thank you speech to everyone but Astrid interrupted them; she started crying. Loki removed himself off the stage to take care of Astrid. He changed her and then went back on stage. Once the speech was done he just sat with Astrid.
Loki took Astrid to a garden and was telling her stories of past battles, He sat her down and backed up to see what she would do, She already knew how to stand up, so she lifted herself with a bench behind her and took some steps, walking to her father. Soon enough she was walking around the entire palace. Loki was never able to sit for very long without having to chase after his little girl. She would giggle every time he caught her, making everyone around smile.

Arcane Societies
Secret Societies, highly influential groups of people who control the world from behind the scenes. Often, they are merely thought to be part of the wild fantasies of the most imaginative or insane people of society. Sett, a seemingly normal orphan child, shared the same thoughts. Yet, his world would be torn asunder when he found out that not only was the world controlled by these veiled organisations, but they also had access to much more than just money and influence. They were martial artists that could split the earth, magicians that could rain fire from the skies, monsters that could eat you whole, and much, much more. This is the story of Sett, an orphan who tries to live his life among the secret societies. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Sanctuary
A girl searching for someone. A boy who lost his memories. A man from another world. A woman trying to prove her worth. Follow along as this unlikely group of people join forces to help each other accomplish their own goals in this non-epic fantasy adventure. Fair Warning: This fiction contains many of the well-known light novel tropes, though I try to give them my own spin. If you’re tired of them by now, you might want to keep away. There are no demon lords however, nor any end-of-the-world cataclysm situation that only the MC can solve. This story is more about different people coming together and helping each other out to achieve their own goals and objectives.
