In the morning Loki was the first one up, due to the new addition to his family. He got Astrid out of her crib and changed her, gave her a bottle, and got her dressed. They were running late to breakfast, because Astrid did not want to get dressed. Loki got all ready while Astrid was in her crib looking at the mobile above her.
Odin told Loki at breakfast that he needs to decide if Astrid would be his daughter, so they can make an announcement to all of Asgard. Loki didn't know what to say, he loved Astrid but was unsure if she would be better with someone else. Frigga saw the stress on Loki's face, she told Odin "Give the boy more time so he can be 100% sure of his choice."
Loki pondered his options. To only thing he could think to do was ask his mother for advice. He went into the library, were she normally was. After walking around he finally found her. Frigga spotted them, they talked in there for a while before Astrid got fussy, so the 3 of them left and went to Loki's room to continue their conversation.
Frigga asked Loki, "what would happen if you deiced to give her to someone else?" Loki responded with 2 answers. "Well, she could live a better and somewhat normal life, or end up somewhere horrible and I wouldn't know if she was safe or treated right." Loki cringed at the thought of that. Frigga then asked, "What would happen if she stayed here?" Loki thought for a moment but answered with, "I would know that she was safe, and I would except her and her heritage, but she would need to deal with Odin." Frigga just listened to her son rant about all the different outcomes, before interrupting him, "Loki, do you love her?" Loki was shocked about what she asked him, did she hear nothing he was ranting about!? "Yes mother, I do love Astrid, she's been with us for a less than a day and there's nothing I wouldn't do for her." Frigga just smiled at her son's response.

~~Time Skip~~
They had just ended dinner and where going to wright the announcement, Loki's heart was beating so fast, all of the 9 realms would soon know of little Astrid.
The message was all over Asgard in minutes. Loki could see everyone reading the announcement, Thor wanted to show off Astrid to his Midgardian friends, but Heimdall said it would be really risky considering Loki's bad reputation, and Odin agreed.
Loki was walking back to his room when he realized that Astrid would need her own room soon, so he started drawing an outline for her room. As he was drawing Astrid started falling asleep so he carefully swaddled her in a blanket and put her in her crib before going back to drawing.
Thor Busted in to the room and started yelling "LOKI THE ASGARDENS ARE CELEBRATING IN THE STREETS YOU NE-" Astrid stared crying almost screaming, she was so scared by the sudden noise. "Nice going Thor, you just scared a sleeping baby, MY sleeping daughter! Loki said. Thor looked at him shocked at how defensive his brother got over Astrid. Thor walked out of the room, Loki shut the door with magic and proceeded to rock Astrid and softly say to her, "It's okay, daddy is here, no one will harm you." Astrid finally called down and looked up at her father, Loki just hummed while rocking her in hopes she would sleep again.
Frigga went in to Loki's room to see that, Loki ended up falling asleep while holding Astrid. She softly chuckled and took Astrid from him and put her in her crib. She put a blanket over Loki and left the room. All Frigga knew is the Astrid brought out the soft side of Loki, that she knew was there all along.
