"Yosh, everyone please take a break now." Ayame calls out to the players. Yachi entered the gym while carrying water bottles and towels with two first year managers behind her. "Kageyama-kun and Shoyo-kun, quit the extra practices. Yuu-senpai, enough with rolling thunder please!"
Ennoshita grabbed Nishinoya by his collar and dragged him to the bench.
"Thank you, captain." She nods at him and he gave her a thumbs up.
"Leave him to me."
"Ah, Kageyama, Hinata. Stop the extra practices. Don't push yourselves." Yamaguchi pushed the two out from the court.
"Thanks, future captain." Ennoshita nods at him.
"Thank you, Tadashi-kun." Ayame smiled.
"Ah, hai." Yamaguchi sheepishly smiled when he was called as future captain. Well, everyone thinks that the freckled teen is more suited to be the next captain because of his... well, compared to Tsukishima's saltiness, Hinata's hyper energy and Kageyama's scary face (It's the sad truth), Yamaguchi is more approachable and friendly and the most normal guy in the group.
As for Ayame, she had improved and she gained her own self-confidence and Ukai sometimes let her do the coaching to the boys. When they became second years, more members joined their club, making Daichi and his fellow graduated members cry in joy.
"Aaaah... Ayame-senpai is really cute~" a first sighed as he watched the girl talk to Yamaguchi and Tsukishima.
"Oi, don't tell me you joined the volleyball club because of senpai? And dude, you are being overly familiar by addressing her first name!" his teammate tells him before slapping his head.
"Ow!" He rubbed his head and frowned at him. "Of course I joined because of volleyball but... I also heard that the assistant coach and the manager are Karasuno's beauties so..."
"See?" he deadpanned at him.

"Don't look at me like that! It's not as if I'm the only one!" he pointed a finger to the other first years. "I know that you guys are also interested in Karasuno's beauties!"
They all looked away.
"Don't ignore me!"
"Well, it can't be helped you guys like senpai." One of their male managers said as he handed them a drink. "She's really pretty, especially those violet eyes of hers. She's also smart and very kind and patient to everyone and... she's a really good cook too!"
"Sounds nice..." the first year sighed dreamily "Ayame-senpai is a really nice girlfriend material. I wanna try dating her."
"Stu~pid!" another first year flicked his forehead, much to the pain of the other. "Forget Ayame-senpai. She already has a boyfriend."
"Eh?! Who?!"
He looked away and whistled nonchalantly before leaving. "Not telling~"
"Oi! Don't leave me hanging!"
Meanwhile, Ayame was watching the first years from afar and she could not help but giggle. "The first years sure are an excited bunch."
"They kinda remind me of Hinata and Kageyama, though..." Yamaguchi says when he saw one guy pester the other for details.
"Great. More pain in the ass people in the club." Tsukishima muttered before drinking.
"Hmm. Still, it's gotten lively here." She says before looking at the two. "Neh, I've been thinking that... is it okay if I call you guys "Tsukki" and "Taa-kun"?"
Yamaguchi nearly spewed his drink and the megane deadpanned at her.
"Why?" Tsukishima asked her in a raised brow.
"Well... we've been friends for almost a year and the three of us are still classmates. I figured that it's okay to be closer than usual...?" She trailed off at the end of her sentence as she fiddled with her hair in embarrassment.

"Uwaaah... Ayame is so cute...!!" The freckled teen thought as he was mentally screaming at how cute she looks. He cleared his throat and smiled in embarrassment.
"W-Well... I don't really mind... if... I can also call Ayame as "Aya-chan"..."
This time, Ayame almost had a seizure from being called by that nickname from her boyfriend.
"O-Okay! I-I don't mind!"
Tsukishima was pretending to be nonchalant but he was internally grinning like hell. "I don't know about you two but I'll stick to my usual."
"Then, Tsukki, you don't mind being called "Tsukki" as well?" he asked.
He shrugged "I don't mind."
"Thank you, Tsukki!" Ayame smiled at him. "Uwa! It sounds cute!"
He deadpanned at her. "Don't call me cute when you're hella shorter than me, chibi."
"Tsukki, you're so harsh..." Yamaguchi tells him when Ayame sulked on the nearest wall.
"It's the truth." He retorts.
Later by the end of the day, the couple started addressing each other with their nickname. It was so cute that Yachi was squealing at the shojo manga aura the two emits.
"Aya-chan, do want to stop by the convenience store? I have a coupon for two free ice creams." The freckled teen asks.
Her violet eyes sparkled in excitement. "Really?! Of course, Taa-kun!"
Tsukishima puts on his headphones. "You guys go ahead. I have an errand to run."
"Okay. See you, Tsukki."
"Hm."
Tsukishima sent a mail to Sugawara as soon as he separated paths with his classmates with a smug smile on his face.
They started calling each other "Taa-kun" and "Aya-chan".
"Damn it, Tsukishima!" Sugawara suddenly slammed his head on the table as soon as he saw the mail. "I want to see those two calling each other in a nickname, too!! I'm so jealous! I wish I didn't graduate!"
His fellow classmates sweat dropped when they saw him like that.
"Hey, what's the deal with this guy?"
"Dunno..."
Sugawara furiously typed his reply.
Give me more details!! Tsukishima, I'm counting on you for updates!!
He suddenly recalled something then grinned. He nearly forgot to update Yaku about the current status of their top couple. He's hella sure that Yaku's gonna love it if he knew that they're in the nickname stage.
