《Violet Eyes || Haikyuu!! Fanfiction ||》Chapter 28: Maid Ayame

"Uhm...is this supposed to be necessary?" Yamaguchi asked, pointing at his butler uniform.
"As much as I hated this, yeah, it's necessary. We're supposed to act as waiters after all..." Tsukishima sighed, wiping his glasses. Kageyama and Hinata were also dressed as butlers and kept fighting at the correct way in tying a tie.
"Where are we supposed to act as waiters? I forgot" Hinata asked.
"In a small cake shop, run by the art club" Kageyama said before making a scowl "These clothes are damn annoying" For once, Tsukishima agreed with him.
(Flashback)
"Eh? A school festival?" Ayame asked.
"Yeah" the captain nodded, looking at the sheet of paper on his hands "Apparently, our club is required to help the art club, photography club, and the cooking club"
"Can't we just skip it? The Inter-High is right around the corner and we can't afford to slack off" Kageyama said, crossing his arms.
Sugawara shook his head "We can't. The principal will probably get mad at us and get the club in trouble"
"So...how come three clubs needed our help?" Ayame asked "And furthermore...what are we supposed to do?"
"Well, it seems that these three clubs agreed that we should split up by our years: first years, second years, and third years because they probably thought that we're a handful" Daichi explained and looked Hinata, Nishinoya and Tanaka, who quickly looked away.
"Let's see...the first years will be helping the art club, second years will be helping the photography club, and third years in the cooking club" he continued.
"Eh?! We're separated from Kiyoko-san and Ayame-chan?!" Nishinoya and Tanaka cried in shock.
"Just deal with it, you two" Ennoshita told them.
"Thank goodness...I'm not placed in the photography club..."Ayame sighed "So, what are we exactly doing with the art club?"
Yamaguchi checked the paper the captain gave them "It looks like they planned on opening a café and they promised that half of the income they received will go to the volleyball club"
"I guess that sounds nice..." Ayame shrugged.
"And get this" Yamaguchi added "They want us to be the waiters and we're wearing uniforms they will provide us"

"UNIFORMS?!"
(End)
"At least, they managed to measure our sizes correctly" Tsukishima said, smoothing his butler uniform.
"That doesn't change the fact that these clothes are annoying" Kageyama huffed.
"I-I feel a little weird wearing this" Yamaguchi muttered, staring at his reflection.
"Ayame-san, are you finished changing?" Hinata knocked on the door.
"Almost!" she answered. After they took their sizes the other day, Ayame was given two small packages to decide on what she'll be wearing, though the representative of the art club said that the president personally liked the one in green package than the blue one. Shimizu helped her in changing (and deciding) and the boys in the club were curious to know what is inside the packages. They heard a click from the door and Ayame emerged with Shimizu behind her.
"Wah~! Ayame, you look great in your maid outfit!!" Hinata complimented her. The violet eyed girl is wearing a short sleeved black maid outfit that is a few inches above the knee. She's also wearing a frilly white apron and headdress and long black knee socks and shoes. Black cuffs with white stitches and frills adorned her wrists and her hair was let loose, like her usual hair style.
"Maid Ayame..." Tsukishima snickered "It suits you"
"Cute..." Yamaguchi stared at her.
"Thanks...I guess..." she looked down in embarrassment "Shimizu-san's the one who picked it. She told me that the blue package is better than the green one"
"Ne, Shimizu-senpai" Yamaguchi said "What's inside the green package?"
The said manager flinched and gestured the four boys to follow her. They huddled closer and Shimizu said in a low voice "That green package was...slightly revealing"
She pulled out the other maid uniform from the green package. It was a very short black skirt and frilly sleeveless black top that covers only the chest, revealing the abdomen and back. Cat ears and tail and a black collar with a bell are also included inside. They imagined Ayame wearing that and it took, like, ten seconds for their faces to burn bright red and for the blood to gush out from their noses.

Tsukishima felt disgusted at the president's choice "What kind of guy has this awful taste in girl's outfit?"
"A pervert, most likely" Yamaguchi huffed, stuffing the outfits back inside and was tempted to throw it away. The outfit's way too revealing for the young girl's appearance and he preferred her current outfit than the cat outfit (They started calling it the cat outfit).
"My nose is bleeding..." Hinata said, covering his bleeding nose.
"W-What t-the h-hell?" Kageyama muttered, wiping the blood.
"Shimizu-senpai, what are you planning to do with this outfit?" Tsukishima asked her.
"I didn't tell Ayame-chan about this outfit since she let me choose which is better and you guys better not tell her" she told them and they nodded "I'll return it back to the president or throw it away. I won't tell anybody else about this outfit, not even Sawamura, but I'll sign a complaint to the president"
"Nice, Shimizu-senpai!" Yamaguchi nodded.
"Okay, I'll be leaving them. Good luck, first years" she smiled at them and patted Ayame's head and told her that she'll do fine before leaving to help the cooking club.
"So...what was that about? Ah, Kageyama-kun, you're nose is bleeding" Ayame told the setter. He flinched and quickly wiped it.
"N-Nothing, Ayame" he replied, looking away.
"Seriously, what happened?"
"Shimizu-senpai told us that the captain said that we shouldn't mess up and we should behave in front of the guests and act accordingly, right?" Tsukishima elbowed Kageyama and he nodded.
Oblivious at the little lie the megane made, she nodded and shrugged it off. Yamaguchi glanced at her and couldn't help but smile.
"You look...nice, Ayame" Yamaguchi told her, scratching his face with a finger "and cute too" he whispered.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid! "You look nice"? That's all you could say? Really lame, me. Tsukki could do better than that" the freckled teen mentally slapped his self.
Ayame blushed and smiled shyly "T-thanks, Tadashi-kun...y-you look..." she tried to think of something nice about his clothes but she blurted out the first word that came into her mind "...d-dashing...I-I mean, you l-look amazing! I-I mean, you guys look amazing!"
"W-Wow...h-he actually looked handsome in his clothes..." she thought, slightly staring at the freckled teen.
Yamaguchi was taken aback. He was surprised that a girl told him he looked dashing and amazing in his clothes. He smiled a little and nodded his head "T-thanks, Ayame"
The five of them went outside to start preparing for the small shop. Nishinoya and Tanaka went to the first years to check on them if they're doing fine. However, a sight from their lovely kohai in a maid uniform made them stop and sigh dreamily.
"Our lovely angel..." Nishinoya started, placing his hand on his forehead dramatically.
"...is wearing a cute maid outfit..." Tanaka said, making a praying gesture.
"The heavens have blessed us~" they sighed in unison, making other people stare at them weirdly.
"Ignore them" Tsukishima told her.
"I know" she sighed. Ennoshita saw the duo and grabbed their collars and dragged them back to their area, much to their protests.
The shop's about to open and Ayame took a deep breath and shook her hands to calm her nerves. It is, after all, her first time. The shop was filled with different students and other alumni and the first years took their orders.
Hinata was surprisingly doing great because girls think he looks cute in a butler uniform. Yamaguchi was doing normally than Kageyama, because the setter had his intimidating face so he unconsciously scared some customers. Tsukishima is more popular with the girls because plenty of girls in Karasuno had a crush on him. Ayame, on the other hand, is doing fantastic. Her cute appearance is popular with the guys so they kept asking her for their orders. They would call her "Maid-chan" and it irritated Tsukishima and Yamaguchi greatly. They were worried that she might be harassed so they're always on alert, even forcing the oddball duo to help them.
