《Violet Eyes || Haikyuu!! Fanfiction ||》Chapter 3: Crush

Yamaguchi noticed that the violet eyed girl is a quiet and soft spoken person. She doesn't usually talk and she's earnestly listening, even though the lessons were as boring as hell. He couldn't help but glance at her once in a while. Sure, her eyes were interestingly strange but there's something that he wanted to know more about her, such as her habits and personality. The way she calls him by his first name was really nice to hear and he wanted to know more about her.
The bell rang, signalling that it's lunch time. Ayame finished eating her lunch and went outside to buy a drink. Tsukishima finished his lunch and Yamaguchi is still eating, slowly, which is unusual for him.The tall blonde took notice of this and called his friend.
"Hey, Yamaguchi..." Tsukishima said, looking at the freckled teen, who seemed to have lost interest in eating his lunch.
"..."
"Yamaguchi..." he called again.
"..."
"Hey, Yamaguchi!! Wake up!!" he said and this time knocking Yamaguchi's head to wake him up from his trance.
"E-eh? What was it, Tsukki?" the other teen responded, completely startled.
"It took me three times to get your attention. Mind if I know what's keeping you troubled?" he asked.
"N-nothing..." he replied.
"Pfft...I know you, Yamaguchi. Is your mom's cooking that bad?" he asked and Yamaguchi gave him a deadpanned expression "Or you're thinking about that girl?" Tsukishima asked with a mischievous smirk on his face.
"W-what girl?" he asked, though he knew which girl he meant. He's too easy to read...
"Mizuki Ayame, of course. Do you have a crush on her?"
The freckled teen nearly choked his food upon hearing this and blurted out "W-what are you t-talking about, Tsukki!? I barely know her!" Yamaguchi answered defensively, his ears turning pink.

"Or maybe you want to know her more?" Tsukishima asked, smirking.
"W-well, yeah, of course...but that doesn't mean she's my crush" he answered.
"Whatever you say" he snickered, slipping his headphones.
"Or maybe you like her, Tsukki" Yamaguchi teased him. Strangely, it left a bitter taste in his mouth saying that.
Despite that he's wearing his headphones, the tall blonde heard him and glared at him menacingly, scaring the freckled teen "Hah?!"
"Nothing! Forget it. I'm going outside to buy a drink. Tsukki, you want something?" he asked his friend. Tsukishima returned to his usual bored expression and hummed for a few seconds before answering.
"Strawberry milk"
Yamaguchi nodded before leaving. While he is walking in the hallway, he could hear some first years and second years talking about someone.
"Have you seen that violet eyed girl earlier? She's so cute and pretty!"
"I think she was a first year in Class 4. I think her name was Mizuki Ayame"
"I heard she's from an all-girls school in Tokyo"
"Her violet eye's really strange. But still, she's cute. I like her"
He ignored them and continued walking until he reached the vending machine. He bought two strawberry milk drinks and pushed the straw in the carton and drank one, carrying the other drink back to their room. As he was walking back, he saw a confused looking Ayame, wandering around the hall.
"I'm lost..." she muttered, a gloomy aura hovering above her. The freckled teen heard her and pitied her sense of direction.
"Mizuki-san?" Yamaguchi called her. Ayame looked at him, startled.
"Tadashi-kun, h-hello..." she shyly greeted him.
"Are you lost?" Yamaguchi asked her. Ayame's face turned pink from embarrassment that someone knew that her sense of direction is quite pitiful.
"Y-yes...pretty stupid of me, I know..." she glumly said "Give me a month and I'll remember every corner of this school"
"Then, why don't you come with me? I'm heading back to our room" Yamaguchi suggested and Ayame's face lit up in happiness.
"Really?! Thank you!" she smiled, the first smile Yamaguchi saw on the violet eyed girl's face and he admits that he kinda liked it. Maybe, Tsukishima was right after all. He actually wanted to know her more.

Blue Hills
Nothing had ever felt quite right for Alexander Adamson. He'd worked his way up to a job he could tolerate, a few casual friends, and even a nice little apartment that he could call his own, though it really wasn't. The problem was that none of it was satisfying. It was as though he were going through the motions of a life, rather than having one of his own. Of course, it didn't exactly feel right when he woke up in a strange bed in the middle of nowhere. Nor when he was told that he was now the proud owner and operator of a local farm. A farm that had belonged to a late uncle he'd never known. But with the first train out of town a full 'season' away, he had plenty of time to get used to the idea. Plenty of time, perhaps, to even get to like the strange little town of Blue Hills. I have a discord now. Marvel at my ability to somehow still be antisocial on the other side of a screen! Back from hiatus along with my other fiction. Chapters are on a Thurs/Sun schedule until book 3 of that fiction is completed, at which point I'll be updating this daily. At which point uh.... I dunno what I'm going to do.

OUTLIERS
30 years ago brought the first superhumans, regular people given great power seemingly at random. 15 years ago brought the paranormals, stranger and often weaker in their abilities, but far more numerous. Today, the world holds its breath . . . Or at least, it should. Most people, though, are just trying to get on with their lives; some successfully, some less so. It's a sensible goal, but it can be hard when shadowy conspiracies and worldwide N.G.O.s are turning your city into a proxy battleground over world-shattering secrets. It’s bad enough when you’ve just woken up with superpowers and terrorists are holding your school hostage. It’s even worse if you’re an illegal vigilante stuck in the middle of the whole Charlie Foxtrot after a supervillain raid drops vital information in your lap. For Hannah Eiling-Kingsford and Flint Perez, life is about to get a lot harder to get on with. ----- Outliers is a superhero story. Okay, so not so much superhero as vaguely superhero-ish. It's about two teenagers dealing with, among other things, new powers, psycho exes, mysterious datapads and a giant, secret war between the foremost powers-that-be, over information that could forever change the world. Again. You know, normal teenage stuff. Outliers contains some foul language and mild sexual references. It is a complete story, and can also be read on its own website.
