《My Lazy Prince》Chapter 22

DIE
Inosuke and Kanao were trying to fight off Doma's ice duplicants and his ice lotus vines. They were both bloody and tired, but they both knew that if they stopped, they would both perish.
Meanwhile, Doma was leaving the room, letting his Blood Demon Art do all the work.
He was about to leave but then his eyeball fell off and his face started to crack. "Huh? What happened?" the blonde demon asked himself, putting his hand on his face. Is my face melting?
Doma dropped to the floor, feeling weak and faint. He then recalled the butterfly Hahsira he had absorbed. My bones are melting...Is this poison? It’s that girl’s poison! But I didn’t sense anything. Regenerate! Heal!
The ice clones of the blonde demon started melting. Inosuke swung his sword, aiming for the ice clone but it suddenly disappeared. "WHAAAT?! THEY DISAPPEARED!! IS THIS A TRAP OR SOMETHING?!" Inosuke yelled in frustration.
"No! It's Shinobu’s poison!" Kanao informed.
Indeed, it was Shinobu’s poison that was causing Doma to weaken. The Insect Hashira has been drinking poison, filling her body with venom. So when the blonde demon absorbed her, he consumed the poison inside her as well.
Kanao commanded Inosuke to aim for the neck of the Upper Moon. She wasn’t gonna let the sacrifice of both her okaasan and her sister be in vain.
"Die you rotten bastard!!!" Inosuke shouted.
The two demon slayers aimed for the demon, but Doma acted quickly. A large ice Bodhisattva statue appeared right in front of the two demon slayers. Both of them were shocked, as the Bodhisattva's arm came rushing down to crush both of them.
Luckily, they were able to dodge. Kanao started to think this was the end for them. There’s no way she and inosuke could keep fighting.

She remembered something that Shinobu and her Okaasan told her. A technique that should only be used for a last ditch effort. Kanao may go blind if she used the technique, but it was her only choice.
When Kanao asked (Y/N) about this, the Gem Hashira replied saying it was a very risky move. "You shouldn’t do it, unless you want to risk your life." Kanao remembered her okaasan tell her.
"Okaasan is correct, Kanao. You shouldn't really use that technique." She remembered what Shinobu warned her.
You were preparing to sacrifice your own lives, so why would you worry about my vision, Shinobu-sama. Okaasan...you fought just for us, even though you knew it would cost you life. So why did you both worry about other’s lives before your own? Kanao pondered in her mind. You both were so kind. So precious! I wanted to protect you both. I would have risked my own life for both of you! I wanted us to go home together.
With that thought, Kanao finally snapped.
Her eyes became like a demon’s and veins popped up on her face and body. This was the power of the final form of Flower Breathing- Equinoctial Vermilion Eyes.
The purple eyed girl started running towards the giant Bodhisattva statue. She saw Inosuke in the statue’s hand. The other hand was going to smash Inosuke, but with one slash, Kanao cut the other arm off.
The female demon slayer ran up the gigantic ice arm, before it fell in the water beneath them. She aimed for the blonde demon, whose face is slowly crumbling due to the poison.
However, before her blade was able to thoroughly cut the demon’s neck; the Bodhisattva blew a cold and chilly mist, freezing the young girl. Kanao’s body started to stiffen, making it impossible for her to move.
"Beast Breathing! Sudden Throwing Strike!" Inosuke yelled while throwing his swords at Kanao’s. His swords pushed Kanao’s sword into the demon’s neck. Until, Doma’s head was officially sliced off.

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
