《My Lazy Prince》Chapter 21

Doma stopped in his tracks when he heard this. He really didn’t understand does he?.
"Why are you so attached to these miserable humans?" he muttered to himself, as he looked at the ground. I was about to speak, but he beat me to it.
"Ah, I see." He looked up at me, smiling sadistically. "So if I hurt them...You’re going to kill me, aren’t you, (Y/N)-chan?"
"If I have to...then I will." I confidently said. But in reality, I was nervous. Very nervous. I would never kill him, but If it has to be done....
Doma started laughing insanely. "So you really are just a pathetic human!!!" he exclaimed.
For the first time, Doma’s words made my heart ache. I felt a cold feeling inside my chest. "Master Muzan was right! You are just going to betray me!"
I gritted my teeth, not moving one bit from my defensive stand. I will protect Kanao and Inosuke, no matter what.
"Okaasan!" I turned my head to look at Kanao. "Where is Shinobu-sama!?"
I quickly looked away, not saying a word. My chest tightened, as I didn't dare say what I saw earlier.
Doma smiled creepily, sending shivers down my spine. "Well then…" Doma said, fanning himself. "I would like to see you try, (Y/N)-chan"
As if it was on que, me and Doma started quickly dashing at one another. I yelled at Inosuke and Kanao to stay back, while I tried to block one of Doma’s attacks.
The injury from my battle with Upper Moon 3, wasn't helping me at all. Well then, if I can't use my right hand then I'll use my left.
I did not hesitate to land a few blows on Doma, and neither did he.

"You’re so strong, my love." Doma said, as I tried to block one of his ice shards. Doma then used his Blood Demon art to create this sorta mist.
I raised my sword and started spinning it, using it as a shield from the ice mist. "Ara~ I wonder why I even bothered to miss you, (Y/N)."
I was almost impaled by one of the ice shards. Luckily, I dodged it on time. "Tell me, (Y/N). Is there really a heaven? If there is, I question why they would save such a pathetic human like you."
Insult after insult, I felt my heartbreak even more. He’s not even calling me (Y/N)-chan anymore.
I felt one of Doma’s fans cut my left shoulder. I muffled a scream, and continued preventing Doma from reaching Inosuke and Kanao.
"At least the heavens actually saved me. You just stood there…" I said, as I gripped my sword tighter. "LIKE A FUCKING COWARD."
Doma’s eyes widened as I pierced my sword through his stomach. "You could have stopped him! You could have turned me into a demon or something! You just stood there! Did you even mean all those apologies?!"
My vision became blurry with tears as I gritted my teeth. "You could have tried to find me. You could have saved me. So why didn’t you?"
Doma grabbed my hand, forcing me to pull out the sword. Tears kept streaming down my face. I cupped his face as I smiled sadistically like he did. "Who’s pathetic now, my prince?"
"ENOUGH!!!" Doma yanked the sword out of his stomach and summoned more ice shards. I tried my best to dodge each shard. Some missed while some were able to land some blows. I dashed towards Doma, numerous parts of my body were bleeding.

"Ara. Why are my wounds not healing?" I heard him question.
"That's because my sword is packed with Wisteria. It will take you weeks for that to heal." I replied, running towards him.
I jumped and aimed my sword at Doma’s neck. Anger and rage blinded me, as I was about to land a final blow to end this.
“(Y/N)-chan!!! You’re so cute!”
My eyes widened at the memory. “(Y/N)! Your food is amazing!”
“I’m so lucky to have you, my diligent wife~”
“You’ll always stay beside me, right?”
“Eh?! I would never hurt you, (Y/N)-chan.”
Why? Why am I remembering these now?
“(Y/N)-chan, I love you…”
I twisted my sword in another direction, missing my intended target. "I can’t do this…" I huffed in exhaustion.
I felt another ice shard hit my back. I nearly fell on the floor, due to the pain, but I was able to stand up. The next thing I knew, I was kicked to the side of the room, my body landing in the water.
I'm done.
I waited for (Y/N) to attack again, but she didn't. "Okaasan! Get up!" I heard the girl with a butterfly pin scream.
"Don't just lay there! Get up and swing your sword like a champ!" The boy with the boar head yelled, hoping that it would encourage (Y/N).
What is she doing? Why isn’t she moving I thought, looking at the body of my beloved in the water from a distance. (Y/N)-chan...did i do that?
I stared blankly at the water, as my blood contaminated it. I couldn’t move. Every part of my body hurts.
Tears started to fall from my eyes, as I could only listen to what was going on in the background. More tears slipped from my eyes, as I began to hear yelling from the distance. "I'm so sorry...for being so weak…."

About the Author This is my first novel or any attempt to write something so I'm pretty much a newbie trying to pen down the fantasies rolling in my mind. English isn't my First language so brace yourself for some grammatic potholes. But I'm genuinely working on improving my English but it won't be happening overnight as it's a process, I guess. (for the time being, I'm trying to make it readable with some Grammar checking software) Moreover, I wish to improve my writing skills as the story grows and readers help in spotting mistakes or critics might turn it into a reality.
