《My Lazy Prince》Chapter 8

It has been a year and a half now. (Y/N)’s condition worsened to the point where she couldn’t even stand up. The progression of her illness rendered her to the point where she was already bedridden. She had no choice but to resign from her duties.
All the cult members were all worried for the young female. They insisted to help take care of her, but she told them not to; afraid that her sickness might spread to them.
Although everyone respected her wishes, Doma- him being the stubborn person he is- insisted that he will be the one to take care of her.
(Y/N) tried to convince Doma not to take care of her, but Doma just ignored her and continued to visit and take care of her everyday. Eventually, (Y/N) gave up.
It was clear to everyone that (Y/N) was slowly dying. There was nothing anyone could do.
Everyone, except Doma. He wouldn't giveup so easily, he just couldn't. The blonde male tried everything. He called in about 5 doctors, just to help his beloved get better. In the end, none of them could cure (Y/N).
The sky was dark, and the entire cult was quiet. Doma was busy talking to (Y/N) in her room.
“I think it's time for you to go to bed now, my prince." The young female said smiling.
"Eh!? But I want to talk with you more, (Y/N)-chan!" Doma argued.
(Y/N) shook her head, while signalling Doma to go to bed. Doma pouted but nodded slowly.
"Good night, my lazy prince."
"Good night, (Y/N)-chan~!" Doma said, while giving (Y/N) a small peck in the cheek.
Doma blew out the candle and left the room. Only the light of the moon illuminated (Y/N)’s room. But for some reason, the young female couldn’t sleep. She tried shutting her eyes, yet she still couldn't fall into slumber.
Meanwhile, outside of (Y/N)’s room, Doma was having a conversation with a very particular demon.
"Really!!! You’ll turn me into a demon!" Doma exclaimed.
Muzan nodded. The red eyed demon signalled Doma to kneel down, and Doma did. Muzan placed his hand on Doma’s head.
"You will become an excellent demon moon." And with that Muzan dug his fingernail into Doma’s head, filling Doma with his blood.

Doma groaned with pain, once Muzan was done. The blonde male started feeling hungry. Really hungry.
One of his followers walked passed by the room. Veins appeared around Doma’s body, as his nails grew longer and sharper. His eyes turned more demonic, as the bis hunger for human blood and flesh grew.
Doma ran straight towards that cult member and slit their throat so that they wouldn’t scream. He started to devour the member.
Once he was done, he wiped his mouth and looked at Muzan. He smiled faintly and bowed to his "new master".
"Thank you very much, Master." Doma said. Muzan just looked at Doma unfazed. The demon progenitor was about to leave the cult, but he then heard coughing from the room that was behind him.
He walked closer to the room where the coughing was coming from. A particular scent was coming from that room-the smell of Death.
Doma frooze. She’s...She’s still awake?!...The blonde demon started to sweatdrop. Does that mean she heard everything!? he contemplated.
He didn’t realise that Muzan had already slid the door open. In an instant, Doma rushed to close the door, but it was too late.
Inside the room, Muzan saw a young girl who was laying down on a futon. She looked sickly, and the smell of death surrounded her. The red eyed demon looked at the young girl, who was looking back at him. But she didn't have the look of fear in her eyes though, she was actually smiling at him.
"Eh, Master, there's nothing to see here. Why don’t you-" Doma was immediately silenced by Muzan.
"Doma-san…" The two demons looked at the young girl who had just spoken. "Why didn’t you tell me you had a guest? I could have prepared tea." (Y/N) said gently, as she slowly sat up. Doma was about to speak, but Muzan beat him to it.
"Leave us." Muzan commanded Doma. The blonde demon was hesitant at first, but he knew very well not to disobey his master. He nodded and left the room, sliding the door closed.
Muzan looked at (Y/N). He soon noticed the ring on her finger, and remembered that Doma had a ring on his finger too.

"So, you're the famous Muzan I have heard of." (Y/N) said.
"I see you have heard of me." Muzan glared at the young girl.
(Y/N) chuckled a bit. "Of Course, how can I not. You're that famous demon, that every demon slayer is trying to kill." (Y/N) said sweetly. "You're also that demon that turned my beloved husband into a demon, just a few minutes ago." she said, rather pissed off.
"Ah, so I am correct. You two are married to each other." Muzan said, as (Y/N) nodded slowly.
Muzan walked closer to the young girl. The moonlight was now shining its brightest, and (Y/N) was able to see Muzan more clearly.
"I am sure you are aware of what I’m about to do." Muzan’s eyes looked down at the (H/C) haired female.
"You’re going to kill me, am I right?" (Y/N) replied.
"You know you are just making him weak. You are the reason why he won't reach his full potential." The red eyed demon said, referring to Doma.
(Y/N) was silent for a bit, but then she just smiled at Muzan. "I guess love can blind you sometimes." she said. "But isn’t it love that makes a person stronger-"
Just then, Muzan grabbed (Y/N) by her neck and lifted her up-suffocating the young female.
"It is pitiful that you believe in that. does nothing but distract you from what's important. Human emotions are your greatest weakness. Being human is why you are slowly dying right now. It would be only necessary to kill you right here and now." Muzan’s grip tightened around (Y/N)’s neck.
But (Y/N) only smiled. Feel free to kill me right now, Muzan. But always remember that emotions don't make a person weak. It's what makes them stronger…" (Y/N) struggled to talk.
Just then, she felt immense pain in her stomach. Muzan has punched a hole through her stomach. The young female started coughing up blood, as Muzan dropped her body to the ground.
Doma was wondering what was happening inside. He waited patiently, thinking nothing could go wrong. The smell of blood started coming from the room, and suddenly a loud thump was heard. Doma rushed into the room.
"(Y/N)-CHAN!? ARE YOU" the blonde demon’s eyes widened. His beloved was on the floor in a pool of blood, with a giant hole in her stomach.
Doma ran over to (Y/N) in a panic. "(Y/N)! (Y/N)! Get up." He said, engulfing (Y/N) in his arms.
"Doma…" (Y/N) smiled, as blood dripped from her mouth.
"(Y/N), please stay with me. Please stay with me." Doma begged.
(Y/N) gave Doma a closed eyed smile, while tears streamed down her face. "Don't be sad, my prince. Everything is going to be ok." she cupped Doma’s right cheek.
"Please (Y/N), don't go…"
"I love you, my prince. It was fun serving you." and with that, (Y/N)’s eyes slowly closed, as her heart stopped beating.
It was the end.
Doma was in disbelief. His beloved was dead in his arms. He knew (Y/N) was dying, but he didn’t expect her to die today.
"(Y/N)...chan…" he couldn’t even shed a single tear. He didn’t even feel sad or angry. He just felt nothing.
Muzan watched the whole thing in the background. He showed no emotion, nor did he care. He knew that that girl was a hazard for Doma.
"I think it's time for me to go now." Muzan said, catching Doma’s attention. "But first, give me the girl's body."
"Huh?" Doma asked, not clearly understanding what his master requested.
"She’s a pain in the back, isn’t she? It would save you the time and energy just to bury her, if you give her body to me." Doma was uncertain on what to do, but he knew well he couldn't disobey his master.
With a heavy heart, he picked up his beloved’s body and gave it to Muzan.
"You're making a wise decision, Doma. You’re going to do better without her." The moment Muzan said that, he suddenly disappeared from the cult.
He then appeared on a nearby cliff. There was a running river on the bottom of the cliff.
The red eyed demon looked at the lifeless body in his arms. Without showing a single emotion, he dropped the body off the cliff. The body landed in the water, and made a big splash.
As the female's body flowed along with the river, as the demon progenitor turned away and disappeared.

To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image

Zombies
This is one of three stories that I am offering as a test run. If you like it, then I'll choose to continue working on it. I have a whole plot line ready to explore! What can I say, I'm a sucker for rebirth, regression, and transmigration stories. This one is a regression story. The main character get's yeeted back in the past, to where the end began. Read on tortured souls as I do my best to break the weak, and sooth those who don't have a soul to break. I spent some time trying to make a story that explores all the gritty situations a resident of the apocalypse would encounter. Unfortunately, I do struggle with pace. I get just as impatient as you when I can't get to the next bloody encounter. But I despise OP characters, and I really wanna stop and explore the fascinating death of civilization. I write this in hopes of making a main character who get's to be the bad-ass I can't be, without, you know, skipping the good stuff.
