A word who's meaning

Is so deep, yet

So misused, unrelying

I can't makes sense of it

It just hangs in the air, expecting

Warmth to flood in but it

It doesn't.

Life is great I

I have family, I

Flourish in friendships, but

The shadow are still there

Hanging like reminders

That when I'm not there

They take that knife

And turn it to my back

Thinking

I won't be fast enough to react.

Love.

Had you asked when

I was young I'd have an answer ready

To fly. Now? I'm not as niéve as then.

Trying to find the light, urgently
