With the evening moon lighting up the serene lavender night sky, Gray backs up his truck and makes his way toward the main road. I sit on the passenger side, casually staring at him. The cool afternoon breeze blows in from the window, whipping his blond locks into a messy disarray. He flashes me a quick smile before rolling up his window, trapping the cold air inside. Abruptly, he pulls over and puts the truck into park. Without a word Gray takes the keys out of the ignition and walks over to the passenger door.
"Gray, what the hell are you doing?"
"Relax babe! You're gonna do fine!"
"What?" I question, trying to not gush over his use of babe so casually. The nickname makes my heart ignite, ricocheting flames through my body.
Gray opens the passenger door, ignoring my question, and forces me to slide over into the driver seat. Gray throws me the keys before I can even blink. My eyes grow wide and I feel like I may throw up all over the upholstered bench seat.
"No! Absolutely not!"
"Why not? I'll be here the entire time!"
Gray's tantalizing pleading usually sweeps me right off my feet, but the thousands of nerves running from my fingers to the tip of my toes makes me shake with uncontrollable apprehension.
Does he really think I can drive a truck? I've never even ridden a bicycle, or a golf cart, or anything remotely close to a vehicle! How am I supposed to drive this big ass truck all the way back to our little cul-de-sac?
"Just turn the key into the ignition."
"Nope, not going to."
My attempt at an assertive tone conveys how deeply adamant I am, but I cross my arms over my chest to further showcase my refusal. Gray delights in the way my bottom lip juts out slightly into a pout, running his index finger over my deep red trembling lip. His lilting fingertip sends a delightful electricity across my mouth.

"Here, let me help you."
Before I can object, Gray rests his hand on mine, guiding it up to the ignition, forcing my fingers to grip the key and stick it in. My hand is pulled forward and we start the truck. I helplessly comply to his every move. Gray's touch on mine is so gentle that I feel safe with him holding onto me.
"See, that wasn't so bad, right?"
"If only you could guide me while we're driving," I respond with a nervous chuckle, the fear rising back up in my chest and settling there like a brutal case of indigestion. I try and focus on the stars dangling over our heads, glittering confetti raining down from heaven, in the hope that their soothing glow will slow my heart and ease my mind.
"Maybe I can."
I gasp and argue in retaliation as Gray sits up from the passenger side and moves toward me, sliding his long legs behind me, forcing me to make room for him. I wonder what kind of crazy idea he plans on accomplishing, before uncontrollably groaning as he tightens his legs around my waist and straddles me from behind. I blush bright red, embarrassed that he can see my burning face in the rearview mirror as he snakes his hands under my arms and lands them on the steering wheel. His muscular thighs squeeze my hips as they come in tighter to reach the peddles, and his chest rests tenderly against my back. I feel like we are driving on a motorcycle and he is snugly holding on as if he could fall off at any moment.
I gulp apprehensively as Gray whispers in my ear, "Put your foot on the brake, and shift into drive."
I do as he says and look over my left shoulder to see if there are any oncoming cars, singling that I want to get on the road. Gray looks too, double-checking to make sure everything is clear. Soon we are on the main road and I am shaking as I ease on the gas and welcome the comfort of Gray's pleasant embrace enthralling me in a passionate, serene trance. We are successfully driving down the hill leading to the coastline, with Gray's foot grazing mine as he reminds me to brake and glide to the stop sign. I signal to go right and we drive passed the ocean. With Gray's calming torso on mine, all the tension inside of me has quelled to a dull roar.

Gray reaches for his phone, which is plugged into the AUX and shuffles Lady Gaga. "Poker Face" comes on and I softly hum along to it while Gray helps me turn the wheel to make a right onto the bridge that goes over the freeway. Gray mumbles to the lyrics, his voice muffled in my ear, sending chills down my spine as we near "Mountainside Acres." Gray's heartbeat resounds in my back and thrillingly echoes through my body. The closeness of our bodies is exhilarating and I never want him to part from me.
As we turn into the cul-de-sac, Gray whispers, "Easy, right?"
I put Gray's truck into park and turn my head so that I am staring into his enchanting green eyes. His mouth quivers delicately as I reach up and kiss him softly, barely gracing his lips. Gray kisses me back, his smooch deeper and fuller than mine. I yelp as Gray pulls his legs up onto my lap and folds them, trapping me so that I cannot possibly get away. Gray's hands grip my waist snugly and his fingers dig into the soft fabric of my tank top, bundling it up in his palm. The nape of my neck shivers as he presses his lips into my taut skin, trailing his tongue lightly down to my shoulders. Gray delicately pulls my tank top over my head to give every inch of my back a light peck as gentle as a feather. I moan for him, letting his fingers press firmly into my naked abdomen, trapping his hands with my own. Epicenters of pleasure light up throughout my body. Gray's touch is antagonizing, switching on circuits I never knew existed inside of me.
I never want him to let go.
