Your (p.o.v)

You woke up just as the sun's rays are shining through the horizons which is something you look forward to seeing every morning. But today you felt more energetic as you walked towards the arena. For today you where going to train with the other dragons. This was a good opportunity for you to stretch out your muscles and get to see the other dragons fight. Although you may not look like it you are actually good in offense due to your small figure which made you average in combat. Although a flexible small size helped you dodge and move in tight places better, it did leave you at a disadvantage when it came to fighting a big dragon that uses full on strength. So you found a good technique to use opponents force against them. Thanks to your brothers and their trainings this helped you become good at fighting.

As you walk towards the arena you think about how interesting it is to find that your brothers left you alone. It seems like that talk last night really helped them realize how grown you are now. How they need to give you space, its either that or they didn't wake you because they hoped you slept in and miss the training with Toothless. But nope, your bright and early and ready to unleash that beast inside you. As you enter the arena you immediately head to Stormfly and Astrid. Astrid was petting Stormfly and encouraging her about them going to have a good training. You stand next to Stormfly and she said

"are you ready to start training?" She had an curious glint in her eyes. You have a tiny smirk make its way on you as you respond

"always" with a confident tone.

At this Astrid goes towards Hiccup and Toothless who are just walking in. You see that Toothless looks around the arena a bit before spotting you looking at him. You stand there looking at him confidently cause you feel no shame in staring. Astrid and Hiccup are talking about what they should start with for training while Toothless seems wanting to approach you but stands still being cautious.

'I'm guessing I owe that to my brothers' you think.

Speaking of which you wonder if they are here. You quickly spot Firecracker stretching and yawning from the other side of the arena seemingly confident in what's about to hit him. As you look to your right in hopes of seeing Silvereyes you spot Stormfly looking curiously at some of your scars in your body. You think about playing with her a bit because of that.

"Listen Stormy I know I'm one to have dragons stare but, you might have some dragon jealous if you keep staring"you say in a whisper while looking forward. Stormfly smiles a bit before looking at you responding with

"I know miss confident, I was just wondering about that scar on your back" you look at her a bit interested that she would like to know about your scars. Its not like you want to hide them knowing its normal that dragons get a few scars. After all she had some as well and she wore them with pride.

"Well most were from battles with my brother's but others come from me running into fights with other dragons and animals"you explain casually as you continue to look around for Silvereyes.

"I see, there are a few scars that don't seem that visible, I guess cause they are not that deep and heal pretty well"Stormfly explains out loud as you finally spot Silvereyes that was now looking at you from a little bit to the left of the other side of the room eating what seems to be fish.

"But I was mostly wondering about that big one on your lower back" your eyes widen slightly for a moment then go back to normal before having anyone notice. But you see that your brother Silvereyes caught you.

"What got you curious about that scar?" You ask Stormfly with a bit of suspicion in your eyes while keeping your eyes locked on your brother.

"Well I saw it when I tried to sneak up on you and thought it was a scar from your wound from when we saw you for the first time, but it looks like its been a while since it healed but really visible meaning it was deep. So yesterday i asked Silvy about it" as you listen to her you begin to squint your eyes at your brother as he seems to be understanding what you two where talking about.

"Is that so, what did my brother tell you?" Wanting to know what exactly your brother told her you nudge her to keep going.

"He said that you got it while the 'Incident' happened, and that if I wanted to know more I should ask you since its personal" as Stormfly tells you this you look towards her and nod to yourself in understanding of her curiosity. After all the scar is in a rather unusual place and you really haven't told her about your past much, except maybe your parents. This memory is not a very fond one but the experience you got from it was a good lesson. Its the reason why your brothers became too overprotective beyond what is normal and why you are careful around Toothless despite being interested in him.

"Well its something that happened to me when I was a bit younger and more trusting, it's a bit embarrassing to say but I trust you so I'll tell you." Stormfly listens intently wanting to know the answer to your scar. She wants to be filled with a good story from your past that you don't speak a lot about. But once you where about to tell her you both hear

"Okay we are about to start the battle training!" From the middle of the arena where Hiccup is calling all the dragon riders and their dragons. You turn to Stormfly saying

"I guess we have to put the story on hold for now, I will tell you another time." Stormfly seems a bit sad that she wont be able to hear the rest of the story but is satisfied to know that your willing to tell her about it soon. You both then make your way over to the middle of the arena.

Toothless (p.o.v)

"Okay we are about to start the battle training!" Hiccup calls everyone to the middle. Astrid and him where discussing what approach they wanted to take for this training since they wanted to include (y/n) and her brothers. So they choose a battle training in which its basically about strategy and taking everyone out of the arena until one is standing. I was excited to train like this with (y/n) but kept thinking about how grim her expression was when she was talking to Stormfly before she was called over. I want to ask her but ill save it for another time.

Hiccup was done explaining to everyone about what was about to happen which got everyone to go to their own positions. I went close to (y/n) as I got in my own position with Hiccup on my back. I see that she is slightly scratching the floor around her creating a bit of dust.

"Hey (y/n) are you nervous about the battle training?" I ask her as she looks up for a second to respond to me

"no I'm feeling fine, I just scratch the ground for my own purposes" she says with a smile on her face. Those (e/c) eyes can pierce through anything, specifically my heart. I wanted to talk to her some more but then Hiccup started to strategies with me.

"Okay bud I think its best to take out those who like to attack from a distance first before going for those who are close combat" I nod in agreement looking at all the dragons.

I see Astrid talking to Stormfly as well. They seem to be the a tough opponent because they can go distance or up close well so there is no telling which they would choose. I then spot Silvereyes and Firecraker scratching the ground a lot just like (y/n). I wonder if its a family thing or something. We all get ready as we then hear the horn being blown echoing all around us which causes the dragons to start attacking. The point is to take all the dragons and their dragon riders off the arena. Many dragons where taken out of the arena after a while of battling. Me and Hiccup where taking does who battle from afar first which took us to Ruffnut and Tuffnut along with Barf and Blech.

"Tootless get them from behind!"Said Hiccup as I went behind them. They both turned their heads around causing gas to be spit our way. But due to us being behind them once they lighted the spark I got out of the way just in time to see them get caught in there own flames. Having them move out of the arena without putting much strength into it. I notice that there are only a few in the arena with us. I see that (y/n) was doing real well but kept stopping to scratch a bit of the ground. I wonder why she's doing that.

'Okay with this last one' you think. Your finally ready for some actual action.

I've been lying low for now trying to scratch everywhere you see around the arena, you noticed your brothers doing the same thing. You see that your standing apponents are your brothers, Skullcrusher with Stoick, Astrid with Stormly, Toothless and Hiccup, Fishlegs and Meatlug, and Hookfang with Snotlout. Surprised they haven't been out yet you go for Snotlout and Hookfang as the obvious choice. While your brothers go towards Meatlug and Stormfly. You want to have him enlight himself in fire without having him catch on to your plan so You try to pretend to lead Hookfang to a corner so that you can fire him out. You move around him attacking him on his side and legs fast enough so that he does not get a good blow at you. Hookfang then inlights himself on fire making you smile in delight inside. This is when you decide to use that trick you've been working on. With him on fire he makes a good target. You make a high sound that has you and you brothers react the same way. You all fly a little up them blow fire at the grown causing there to be a massive gust of thick dust surrounding the whole arena. This is the perfect way to sneak up on dragons without them seeing you. As a nightfury you like to go out at night a lot causing you to use other senses other than sight to see your surroundings. You roar lightly in order to get a good echo location on everyone. You can already tell that hookfang will be taken out by Astrid while Meatlug will be taken out by your brothers. But one thing that caught you by surprise was Skullcrusher. You felt how he flung Silvereyes out of the arena once Meatlug was out. You all forgot how he has an amazing sense of smell. The dust wont stay up long so you don't waste time and go for Stormfly.

You push her from the side before she soars through the air in attempts to throw spikes at you. Having been flexible you dodge them and head straight on to her, spitting fire at her while she did the same. Eventually you push her outside the arena. At this point the dust has settled down around you all, and you can see how toothless and Firecracker are trying to take out Skullcrusher from a corner of the arena. You fly in and shoot fire at him as he grabs on to Firecracker pulling him out of the arena with him. Now it was just you and Toothless. You make no hesitation to lung at Toothless having him move upwards and shoot fire at you. You are quick to react and move your wings to protect yourself.

"Come on Toothless I know there's more too you than just shooting fire" you tease Toothless seeing him have a bit of a blush before getting close to him and grabbing him and pushing him towards the floor where you both kept trying to get each other out. At one point your at the edge and about to lose when you wrap your tail around his neck and flung him out having you land on your back. You thought you had won but Toothless was smart enough to bite down on your tail and drag you out with him. So 'I guess its a tie' you think as you get up and shake a bit of the dust off. As you hear chants around you from the stans.

"That was fun"you hear Toothless say next to you panting. He's making sure Hiccup gets off safely.

"Yah it was nice to battle other dragons for fun" you respond happy to let all that energy flow around you.

"Maybe next time i would like to be alone with you here in the arena" Toothless says with a smirk on his face as he looks at you with excited eyes. You look back at him get up then whisper in his ear teasingly

"Maybe, but there is never telling what might happen." You leave him there as you make your way to where your brothers are at.

'Yup I do like training' you think to yourself smiling.
