《Reader x Toothless (how to train your dragon) Toothless x Reader》The dot

Yesterday was fun. Especially since Toothless was there.

I couldn't wait to see what adventure was waiting for us next!

I patiently waited for Toothless to arrive at our meeting place. He always went home at night to be with his human. In a way, it was kind of sweet.

I paced with anticipation. Toothless had said that he wanted to introduce me to something new today.

I let out an excited cry as I heard him flying overhead. My pacing continued until he was in sight, but instead of ceasing when I saw him, it only sped up. He had Hiccup on his back. So far, I could barely tolerate a few humans. And for a short time, at that. But just because I could tolerate a few of them didn't mean I was used to their presence.

Toothless landed near me, and I kept my distance, wary of the human. Let's just say I've had a bad history with humans...

"Good morning Toothless." I said, smiling at Toothless.

The human cleared his throat.

"Good morning to you as well, human." I mumbled.

"Y/n! Y/n I need to introduce you to THE DOT!" Toothless excitedly roared.

"The dot?" I asked skeptically.

Without giving me an answer, Toothless started nudging his human in the stomach. He pushed his human backwards with his snout, earning a bubbling laughter from Hiccup.

"Okay, Okay bud. I'll get it out." Hiccup said in between laughs.

I smiled at their relationship. They were so cute together. Like two peas in a pod... I'd hate to ruin that.

Hiccup pulled out a small shy object out of his leather jacket. It glittered in the sunlight, and suddenly a dot appeared on the ground.

"Ready Toothless?" The human called out. "Show her how it's done."

I glanced at Toothless and saw him in a crouching position. But not just any crouching position... The play crouching position.

IN a flash, Toothless pounced on the light, trying to trap it in his paws. It was obvious he was out of practice with hunting by the way his paws flailed. The light danced just outside his reach as he chased it in circles and up a tree. When he had reached the top of the tree, the dot landed on the ground again. He grumbled and leapt off the tree, guiding down. He was definitely out of practice, as he let his shadow fall over the dot.

"Amateur mistake." I muttered as I settled back onto my haunches. I lowered myself into the play position, tracking the dot with my eyes. When it danced just outside of my reach, I pounced, catching it in my paws. When I looked under my paws for it, I wasn't there. It danced in front of me, mocking my attempt to catch it.

"Argh!!!!!" I yelled, pouncing on the dot again. This time, I was prepared for its escape and chased it in a circle. The dot stopped suddenly, and I was unable to stop so suddenly. I skidded past the dot and crashed head first into a tree.

A loud crack rang through the forest.

Shaking the dizziness out of my head, I searched frantically for the dot.

I HAD TO GET REVENGE ON THE DOT!

I spotted the dot on the ground, staying still. Knowing that the dot knew I was hunting it, I stuck my tongue out at it and turned my back on it.

That'd teach that dot to play fair!

Toothless and Hiccup laughed at my childish actions.

"Y/n, you'll get the dot next time..." Toothless tried to reason with me.

Then I got an idea.

"Toothless, I have an idea." I said, my eyes glazed in thought.

"Uh. Oh." Toothless said.

"And I'm going to need your help with it." I continued.

"Why do I get a bad feeling about this?" Toothless asked.

"I don't know. Anyway, we should team up to catch the dot." I said, keeping my voice hushed so that the dot couldn't hear us.

"Um..."

"Come on. You attack it from one side and I'll attack it from the other. It'll be easy." I reasoned.

"Fine. But only because I lov- oh, I mean, really like this idea." He said, changing his sentence half way.

Toothless walked away from me and got on the other side of the dot. I pounced when the dot was within pouncing distance, and chased it. Toothless also pounced for the dot, but instead of catching the dot, he ran head first into me. WE playful rolled over, trying to pin the other one down, the dot temporarily forgotten. Seeing that the human was watching us, I suddenly stopped. Toothless pinned me down for a moment, before looking at where I was staring.

The realization struck me as fast as lightning.

THE HUMAN WAS CONTROLING THE DOT!

I'd see how much he liked it if he was the one on the receiving end of the dot chasing.

Shoving Toothless off, I bounded up to Hiccup and grabbed the shiny object in his hand in my mouth. I raced away from him before he could protest and attempted to balance it between my paw and a rock.

Finally figuring out how to work the dot, I shined it just in front of the human.

"Come one little human... You know you want it... Come on... Come chase the pretty little dot... Don't deny yourself the privilege of chasing the dot... come on... come on... ARG! JUST CHASE THE DOT ALREADY!"

Instead of getting Hiccup to chase the dot, Toothless pounced on it.

Oh, THIS was going to be fun.
