"So, wait a minute," Tuffnut tilts his head to the side in confusion, "You tamed a Night Fury? Whoa,"

Hiccup led the teens to the cove as he told them about Edon, and the adventures he had gone through.

Of course, he left the part about him and his Edonian friends being captured by Horas the Merciless because he felt it wasn't necessary.

To him, it had been one of the worse experiences of his life.

Hiccup told the others about how he and Toothless had fought off the Red Death.

After all, the Berkians needed to know the truth why they no longer got raided by dragons anymore.

"So you were telling the truth," Ruffnut said, surprised, "You did shot one down. But we thought you were just fooling around,"

Hiccup nodded, "I don't blame you. I was going to kill it, but..." he sucked in a breath, "I couldn't,"

Snotlout sniggered under his breath.

"I knew it. Useless was scared. Scared that dragon would eat him,"

Astrid glared menacingly at Snotlout.

"Seriously? Oh, you think that's funny, huh?"

She moved closer, ready to throw a punch, but Hiccup stopped her.

"He's right," Hiccup admitted, which earned a smug grin from Snotlout, "I was afraid. But I couldn't Toothless because...when I looked at him, I didn't see a monster. I...saw he was a creature that was misunderstood. When I looked at him, I saw myself,"

The others were left stump. Yet, they were intrigued about dragons.

Who knew after years of thinking dragons were horrible monsters, they became genuinely interested in them?

"I got better at training because of Toothless," Hiccup went on, "He made me see dragons aren't that bad. They're kind, amazing, intelligent creatures who would stand by you no matter what," his face fell for a moment, "Of course; Dad would have killed me if I had told him. Anyway, life with Toothless has been amazing,"

The others, especially the twins exchanged surprised glances.

"So, why are you back? Didn't Stoick banish you...like forever?"

Flashbacks of that fateful day flooded through Hiccup's mind.

He shook them away, knowing now that was in the past, and it was time to put it behind him.

"Not anymore," he replied, "Dad and I made amends,"

Astrid beamed brightly, "That's great! So does that mean you will come back to Berk?"

Hiccup stared off into the distance, while he fiddled with his wrist band.

"I'm sorry," he said sadly, "Berk will always be my home, but I belong in Edon now. I can't give it up,"

A sigh escaped from his lips. He thought about Edon, especially his friends, his mother and Bjorn.

He had to admit; he did miss them, and hoped they were alright.

The others exchanged confused looks.

"Hiccup, what do you mean?" Astrid asked, furrowing her brows.

Hiccup gave a solemn look.

"I'm saying..."he drew a breath, "Look, I didn't came back to live here again. I'm saying Berk is not my home anymore. I only came here to not just make amends with dad but," he sucked in a breath, "to show you guys that dragons aren't bad. That there's no reason to fight them. That we can live in peace with them. The Isle of Edon lives among dragons. So, it's not impossible for Berk to do the same,"

Silence hung in the air as the teens tried to progress everything said.

The silence was short lived when Snotlout swung his head back, laughing hysterically.

"Good luck with that! Vikings are stubborn and stupid. They'll never change. Sure we don't get dragon attacks, but do you really think you'll quickly change their minds? They're complete muttonheads!"

Astrid shot Snotlout a murderous glare. She grasped her axe tightly, tempted to slice his neck in half.

"Don't make me cut off your head, Snotlout,"

Astrid was the first out of the teens to know the truth about Toothless.

She remembered the day when she was 'kidnapped' to go on a joyride on Toothless, which she admit, had opened her perspective on dragons.

Ever since that day, Astrid had changed her mind about dragons.

Change was honestly something Berk really lacked.

Yet, she hoped one day Berk can open up their perspectives on dragons; that there is more to them than meets the eye.

"I know," Hiccup said which made Astrid loosen her grip on her axe.

Fishlegs frowned, "How are you going to do that?"

Hiccup thought about it for a moment. He turned to the blonde boy with a confident smile.

"Well..."

He led the teens to the heart of the cove where the teens gasped at their surroundings in awe.

"You know, I never knew this place existed until we were chased by wild boars here," Tuffnut declared.

Ruffnut sniggered, "Thank those wild boars,"

Snotlout looked the most surprised. He unfolded his arms, taking in his surroundings.

"Okay, this place is amazing. I admit. I guess Berk has its charms,"

Hiccup wandered over to a large boulder. He peered over to find the hunched black figure of his dragon.

"To answer your question, Fishlegs, first I want you to meet Toothless up and personal,"

Hiccup called over his dragon. Toothless immediately perked his head up at the voice of his rider.

He pounced on him, attacking the brunet with slobbery kisses.

Laughing, Hiccup yelled protests, but the Night Fury wouldn't stop licking him.

The others watched, shocked but amazed.

Out of the five, Snotlout was the most amazed.

Once Toothless pulled away from his rider, he faced the other riders, snarling at them.

He knew who they are; dragon killers.

They have also hurt his human, ridiculed him and cast him out as an outcast.

Toothless backed away, his eyes become slits.

Startled, the teens backed away, afraid what the Night Fury was capable of.

Shakily, Snotlout drew out his hammer, ready to defend himself.

"Put your weapon down, Snotlout," Hiccup commanded, while steadying his dragon.

"You're scaring him. Don't worry, I promise he won't hurt you,"

Snotlout's eyes widened in disbelief, "How can I trust you? He's a freaking dragon!"

"I know," Hiccup steered Toothless towards the Jorgenson boy, "But trust me, Toothless won't hurt you. I promise,"

The others watched, awestricken as Toothless moved closer Snotlout.

The twins silently made a bet Snotlout wasn't going to live for his next birthday.

Snotlout whimpered as Hiccup grabbed his arm, moving it closer to Toothless.

The Night Fury snarled, feeling a sense of distrust in the Jorgenson boy.

"Wait, what are you-''

"Shh, it's okay," Hiccup reassured him, moving Snotlout's hand over Toothless' snout.

"He won't bite. You just gotta trust him,"

When Snotlout's hand made contact, he gasped in awe.

"Whoa..." he breathed, letting his hand linger longer onto Toothless' snout. "This is...awesome! But are you sure he won't bite? Why should I trust you?"

Hiccup shrugged, "Because I know Toothless. He is not dangerous," he smiled at his dragon, "He's harmless,"

The others were completely dumbfounded. Never did they thought that somebody like Snotlout would make contact with a dragon.

Heck, they never thought any human could. That gave them all the more reason to know more about dragons.

"Oh! Me next! I wanna pet him! Please?" Tuffnut pleaded, pushing his sister aside.

Tuffnut place his hand on Toothless' snout; excitement flooded through him.

"Dragons are kind, amazing creatures," Hiccup declared, "I've learnt so much about them these last few years. If I could change your minds, maybe I can change the village too," he then lowered his voice, "But you guys mustn't tell anyone about Toothless. Not yet,"

Ruffnut tilted her head, perplexed, "Why? Didn't you come here to-"

"I know, I know," Hiccup sighed, "But I am not ready to tell the village. Or my Dad. I remember what happened in the ring that day when I..." he shook that thought aside, "Never mind. Just don't mention this to anyone. I need to figure out a plan,"

Fishlegs nodded, "Promise. But I have always been curious about dragons. I have read the book of dragons seven, no-eight times, but I kinda wanna train one. Wouldn't that be cool?"

"Me too," Tuffnut declared, "Being a dragon trainer sounds awesome,"

Snotlout grinned widely, "Okay, dragons are cool, I admit. To be completely honest, I would love to ride a Monstrous Nightmare," he glanced at the ground guiltily, "Sorry I doubted you. Maybe Berk needs a bit of a change. Having dragons would make life more interesting,"

Hiccup glanced at the teens in surprise. He never thought he could convince them so easily.

"I would love to ride a Deadly Nadder," Astrid declared, "It's fast, it's agile, and it is perfect,"

Hiccup's green eyes lit up, sensing a plan. A crazy plan that might work.

"Alright, well, if you wanna train, I can show a thing or two. But remember, you need to be discreet. I don't want the others to find out about you training dragons, especially my dad,"

The others nodded in agreement.

"Promise," Astrid declared, "We can train in secret. But the village needs to know the truth about dragons. I just hope you can come up with a plan,"

Hiccup gave a nervous chuckle, "Kinda. But first, let's get you guys those dragons,"

He had a plan, which was to gather those dragons from the ring, go to the cove and help the teens train after dusk.

Of course, they can visit their dragons during the day, but discreetly.

As with the plan of telling the village about dragons, well, Hiccup still needed to work out a plan.

Valka hadn't seen Hiccup since yesterday morning at breakfast.

He hadn't come home last night, and like any mother, that did trouble her.

She thought he might have been exploring with his trusted Night Fury. Perhaps they encountered ill-treated dragons along the way, and stop to help them.

With Hiccup's long absence, Valka grew ill with worry that the boy must have gotten himself into danger.

Honestly, it wasn't like him to be gone this long.

That boy. Always chasing after danger, Valka thought as she wandered through a quiet alley in the village.

People would greet her, but Valka remain oblivious to their smiling faces.

She was worried about her son, and the sooner she finds him, the better.

Though, when she does find him, well, he wasn't going to get a pleasant surprise.

"Valka! Thank Thor I found you," Valka whirled around to see Bjorn bustle through the crowd.

He had his helmet off, letting sweat ran down his strained face.

"No time to talk, Bjorn," Valka weaved through the crowd, "I need to find my son,"

Bjorn raised a brow, "Hiccup is not with you?"

Valka shook her head, "No. I haven't seen him since yesterday," she turned to Bjorn with hope, "Bjorn, have you seen him? Did he come to help you at the forge?"

Bjorn scratched his beard as he recalled yesterday's events.

"Aye, he did," he frowned, his eyebrows furrowed, "but he took off soon after. He didn't say why. But he seems..."

Bjorn's gaze fell into the distance, letting his words trail off.

Valka raised a brow, "What do you mean, Bjorn?"

Bjorn drew a breath, "Aye, that boy had seemed distracted and I feel like something was off. He just wouldn't tell me. Something tells me he was troubled about something,"

Valka gave a bewildered look.

Despite only reuniting with her son for a few months, Valka knew Hiccup very well. She knew he had a habit of running off without any explanation.

Wherever he was right now, Valka hoped he was safe.

"So, you haven't seen him either?" Valka asked.

Bjorn shook his head, "Afraid not. If that boy doesn't show up, well, he is in big trouble. I swear I will cut off his other leg so he won't run away,"

Valka laughed at the blacksmith's sense of humour.

"Don't be so hard on him, Bjorn. He doesn't deserve it,"

Bjorn chuckled, "Well, I hope he will turn up soon. He can't hide from his responsibilities,"

Valka was about to say something, but when she spotted Ingrid, she quickly went over to her.

Perhaps Ingrid might know where her son might be.

After all, she and Hiccup had grown rather close lately.

So there was a chance Ingrid might know about his whereabouts.

"Ingrid!" Valka called, "Have you got a minute?"

Ingrid nodded as she hopped off Arrow's back.

Concern cast over her face as Valka approached her.

"Is everything okay, Valka?" Ingrid asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Have you seen Hiccup anywhere?" Valka bit her bottom lip anxiously, "Last time I saw him was yesterday morning. But I haven't seen him since. I thought he might be with you,"

Guilt masked over Ingrid's face.

Ingrid knew if she told Valka Hiccup had gone to Berk, she would freak. But then again, she had the right to know.

After all, Hiccup did request Ingrid to inform Valka he would be gone for some time.

Nobody knew Hiccup left for Berk, expect for her.

"He...he went back to Berk," Ingrid finally admitted.

Valka's eyes widened in shock, "What?"

Bjorn furrowed his brows, "Berk? I...I don't understand..."

"There's no time to explain, Bjorn," Valka turned to Ingrid with a worried expression, "Ingrid, there's no knowing what can happen to him and Toothless. They'll...they'll..." she sighed, and then muttered hastily, "That boy. After I told him it was a bad idea to go back, he still insisted. He is bull headed, just like his father,"

Ingrid and Bjorn exchanged confused looks.

"Valka, I have known you for a while," Bjorn said with worry, "You are a friend to me. You can always tell me anything,"

Valka gave a solemn look.

If she told the truth that she and Hiccup came from an island full of dragon killers, maybe Bjorn may never trust either of them.

But Bjorn was a friend, and he did have the right to know the truth.

"Bjorn, we're from the Isle of Berk; a place to kill or be killed. People kill dragons there,"

Bjorn's eyes widened, shocked, "What? How come you never told us this before?"

"Because they were afraid we won't trust them," Ingrid interjected, "But they are not the others. They have proven to us they do not hurt dragons. Please, don't think they're any different. Oh, and if you must know, Hiccup was banished for befriending a dragon,"

Bjorn furrowed his brows, "I don't understand. Why would Hiccup return to Berk when he isn't wanted?"

"It's a long story, Bjorn," Valka replied, "Perhaps save it for another time. I need to find Hiccup now,"

Valka called after Cloudjumper, and then hopped on his back.

"I need to go to Berk alone. It will be a lot safer. Once I find Hiccup, I'm going to have a talk with him,"

"Let me come with you, Valka," Ingrid pleaded, mounting on Arrow, "You need back up. Just in case things go wrong,"

Valka was about to protest, but something tells her Ingrid might be right.

"Ingrid..." Bjorn began, giving his daughter a stern look.

Ingrid let out a sigh, "Dad, relax. I need to do this. Hiccup is my best friend, and I'm so worried about him. He's told me what these people are like on Berk, and I'm scared they might hurt him," she cast her eyes into the distance, "I hope he and Toothless are okay,"

It was no secret Ingrid had feelings for the young Viking. Even Bjorn could tell she had some sort of affection for him.

Knowing how much Hiccup meant to her, Bjorn had to let Ingrid do what she had to do.

"Alright, Ingrid," Bjorn grasped onto his daughter's hand, his gaze fixed on hers, "Be careful. I don't want anything to happen to you,"

Ingrid smiled reassuringly, "Don't worry. I'll be okay,"

"Come. We must hurry," Valka declared before Cloudjumper launched into the sky.

Ingrid gave one last look at her father before she followed after Valka.

Unaware, a dark hooded figure lurked in the shadows, having heard all he needed to know.

"So the boy and his mother come from a place called Berk? I knew we'd have traitors in our midst,"
