《The boy down the river》Chapter 11

(Marco's POV)
I woke up with a pain in my head, my vision was blurry for a few seconds. When my eyes focused I looked around, I was outside the woods. Then I rolled over to face the beach.
Reed was lying there, so warm, so peaceful, I had an urge to snuggle up to him.
I slowly wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly. "Huh? Wha?"
He woke up and my eyes widened, "I-I were you-?" he stopped talking and hugged me tighter. "I missed these hugs y'know. Did I do something wrong to make you leave me? If I did I can try to make it up to you!" My mouth hung open slightly in surprise.
"Why didn't you tell me you were a siren?"
"I-I'm so sorry! I was going to tell you but I was afraid you were going to do somethin-!"
I kissed him, it felt so right. I shouldn't think again that it wasn't. I shouldn't have left him because of who he was. I shouldn't have judged him.
Sirens' scales and sharp teeth were hunted often, even if it was illegal. That fancy-looking lady was probably running from the SSHSM, who track down siren and mer-people killers.
I stopped the kiss.
"I love you no matter what, river-boy."
I rolled over and landed into the river. Reed closely followed me. I stood up in the deep water that reached my chin, the water only reached just below Reed's shoulders, I wasn't short at all, now that I thought about it Reed looked about 6,4ft! I shrugged it off and cracked my secret evil plan....
I told Reed to cover his eyes then I dunked down into the water and swam behind Reed. I stood up again and saw that Reed was still covering his eyes, I placed my hand over his eyes, pushing away the hands covering his eyes. I wrapped my legs around his legs and I moved my hand to his waist. "River-Boy~~~ You alright like this, my love?" I whispered in his ear, "Marco, what are you doing?" He asked, mildly flustered. I released the hand covering his eyes and placed it around his waist like my other hand. He could see now and looked behind him too see me wrapped around him. He pulled me off of his back.

I decided to leave the cold water and visit the forest but with Reed this time. "Are you sure this is safe, Marco?" He asked, a step away from entering the woods. "Well I was safe last time I went in there...." I answered, confidently, "Last time you went in there you went inside a cave with a dangerous monster in it, the reason you passed out was because it doesn't like it's victims moving around while it rips them apart." He explained, with a cold look in his eyes. "Wait did you save me from it?" I asked, now genuinely confused.
"Well yeah. I couldn't leave you to die, you're important to me. I never felt what I felt with you before, nobody else ever sparked anything in me. You are the light in my life, the spark that lit my life up. You are everything to me."

Among Monsters and Men
Mankind has settled the distant world of Orr and devolved into a post apocalyptic late medieval era, at war with its native races. The Crown King has been assassinated by native hands after what seemed would be a tenuous peace. Now his son, Crown Prince Hector, must take the High Throne and renew the call to war. As he uncovers more of the truth, bloody secrets are revealed and even darker revelations...I am inspired by A Game of Thrones, Mark Lawrence's hauntingly dark tone, Joe Abercrombie's gritty combat, and Patrick Rothfuss' beautiful prose; seeking to emulate these elements into my own story.

Death By Protagonist
Donavan has made his living by wading through hundreds of stories in search of the quality few he and his firm believe to be worth publishing. After a strange twist of fate, he gets trapped inside the fantasy book of a particularly campy and amateur author. There he will have to navigate a world built on wish fulfillment, power fantasies, and fanservice in order to fix the story from the inside out if he ever wishes to leave. But can he bring himself to play the many roles necessary to manipulate and guide the characters to a satisfying conclusion? Authors Note: Death By Protagonist is meant to be simultaneously a satire of, and love letter to the isekai/portal fantasy genre. It both makes fun of and embraces many tropes of the genre such as harems, explicit sexual content, OP protagonists, and other things many people might think of as "trashy." If that doesn't sound like your thing, you've been warned, but I hope you'll give it a shot anyway. Update Schedule: Plan is to at least put out one new chapter every week, hopefully two.
