(Marco's POV)

I opened my eyes. It was afternoon. Reed had left.

"Huh?" I mumbled, I coughed.

I coughed again.

I couldn't stop coughing.

I started to wheeze and choke.

I tried to splash some water on my face.

The water soothed me, like Reed did whenever I kissed his soft sweet lips....

I also realised, that I was not at the same river. Everything dimmed black. "Hello?" I muttered drowsily, Reed walked out of the blackness, he walked up to me and his lips almost touched mine....

Everything faded away....

I woke up, I was all alone. There was nobody there.

I couldn't go back to the orphanage.... Yuni must have told everyone that I was with a siren. Inni would stay by her side. We split up, they on their side, I on mine. This was fine, I could handle this, I could handle being an outsider, I could make my way through life like this.

"Hmm, where am I going to live?" I asked myself, I thought for a small amount of time, "I will try and go to that side of the river, I mean, I could sleep on reeds, right? It would be cold but-"

Something hugged me from behind! My head spun around. "A-am I really a monster?" Reed muttered, holding on tight to my body, "No your not. I was being stupid. But you should have told me you were a siren before!" I explained, he smiled and our eyes met.

That night I slept in River-boy's arms, cuddling with him, while he was keeping me safe, tucked in the reeds....
