I drag tara up the stairs and into her bedroom.

"Tara, is there something you wanna tell me?" I ask 

"I'm getting married," she says

"No, somethi-Wait hold the fuck up, what?!" I say confused 

"I'm getting married," she says, holding out her left hand, revealing a beautiful ring 

"HOLY FUCKIN SHIT" I scream "When, how, wha-" I was literally lost for words at this point

"he took me out to dinner and proposed right there. It was magical. I finally found someone who accepts me for who I am. Now I need to ask something" she says looking at me. I nod, telling her to go on. "Will you be my maid of honor?" she asks "Well no shit Sherlock," I say laughing

"I'm so happy for you," I say hugging her "But Tara, didn't you just meet this guy?" I ask

"I know, I know. It seems fast because it's only been a few months, but I think this is it," she says

"Ok, but if he breaks your heart just know that I will literally torture him to death. For a very long time," I say 

"Of course, I'll let him know straight away," she says laughing 

"Tara?" I say, here I go, ruining the moment

"Yea, what's up," she says 

"Why didn't you tell me?" I say looking down 

"What? I just did. What was I supposed to do? Tell Lucifer, oh hey babe, I see that you're down on one knee right now, but I think I need to call my best friend and ask her how she feels about the situation, then I'll get back to you on your answer. but for now, just stay there on one knee and look pretty. Was that what I was supposed to do Steph?" she says sarcastically

"I'm not talking about the wedding you dumbass, I talking about you," I say 

"Me? What about me?" she says majorly confused

"Tara, when I was looking through your closet for some clothes I found, I found your birth certificate. Why didn't you tell me who you actually were?" I say looking at her 

"Oh, that. Steph, believe me, I wanted to tell you. But you're like my only true friend. I didn't want to lose you. Once people find out who I actually am, they all treat me differently. Everyone looks at me differently because of my last name. The truth is, my father wanted me to work for him, he offered me everything I could ever want. but I wanted to be a normal citizen. So I hid who I was, told everyone my name was Tara. I'm sorry I didn't tell you Steph, believe me, I really am sorry." she says with tears in her eyes

"Hey, don't cry I didn't mean to upset you. And I'm not mad, I kinda get why you wouldn't go around telling people that. I still love you no matter what you dummy. That's what sisters and best friends are for, to be there no matter what. Does lover boy know?" I say hugging her

"Yea, he knows," she says

"What? how did he know before me?" I say playfully offended

"Sorry," she says 

"So, spill the tea. What happened with you and Mr. I'm So Amazing No One Can Touch Me Cause I'm So Great" she says while making a face 

I go through the events that occurred, starting with the dinner and ending with the fireworks. Looking back on it, I couldn't believe that it actually happened. It felt like I was in a dream and I most definitely didn't want to wake up from it. 

"It just feels so surreal, you know?" I say to Tara after finishing my story. All she did was look at me with a wide smile

"Tara, why are you smiling at me like an idiot?"I say

"That is literally the cutest thing ever," she says with a smile falling backward to lay on the bed. "And you made him watch The Kissing Booth. I can almost see his reaction" she says laughing. "What did he say, was he all like, I'm too good to watch this movie blah blah blah," she says mimicking Carter's deep voice

"Surprisingly no, he just sat there and watch the movie while I laid my head on his chest"

"Ahhhh, I'm dying. I can already see your asses getting married, and your kids are gonna be so cute" she says 

"Woah, woah, woah. Hold up Tara, I am in no way shape or form ready to have kids, much less get married." I say 

"I know, I know. but I'm calling it as of now. You guys are most definitely getting married." she says 

"Ok, whatever you say," I say falling back onto the bed

"Steph," she says after a few minutes of silence

"Yea Tee-Tee," I say, calling her by the nickname I know she hates 

"Bitch, first of all, don't call me that. Second, do you think I'm ready" she says turning her head to look at me

"Ready for what exactly," I say turning my head to look at her

"To get married. Maybe you're right, maybe this is all a little too fast. Maybe I should just call it the whole thing o-"

"Don't even finish that sentence," I say sitting up. Tara sits up as well

"Tara, answer me honestly. Do you love him?" I say taking her hands in mine

"Of course I do, I've never been so sure in my life," she says

"Good. And how does he make you feel?" I ask

"Like, I'm the only girl in the world. Like nothing else matters but me and him. Why?" she says 

"Tara, look. I'm no love expert we all know that. But if he makes you feel like this, then I say go for it. I can tell by the way he looks at you that he loves you more than anything in the world. So marry him Tee-Tee, because I can tell you both care about each other a lot." I say

"But what if I'm a terrible wife?" she says looking down

"Hey, listen to me ok? You are going to be an amazing wife. Hell, I'd marry you if I were a guy" I say laughing with Tara

"There's no need to be insecure Tee-Tee. Your lover boy loves you to death, I can see that anybody can see that. You guys were made for each other. Look, do what you think is best, but I say marry the guy." I say with a smile

"Ok, I'm gonna do it. Holy Shit! I'm boutta get married, we got a wedding to plan. C'mon let's go dress shopping." she says attempting to pull me out the door

"Tara. It's 1:15 in the fuckin morning. No dress shop is open now. And I'm tired as fuck and need to get to bed so I can get to work on time tomorrow" I say 

"Ohhhh right. Ok, maybe Saturday then, if you get the day off" she says with hopeful eyes. 

"Yea of course. Night Tee-Tee" I call to her as she walks down the hall to her bedroom. 

"Night dipshit" she calls back

Ok, I'm proud of myself. 2 chapters in one day. I got no school tomorrow, so more than likely I'll be updating again.
