Mommy and Mr.Thomas have been hanging out alot.I think she likes him.Like him and he might her.

He took me to the park and pushed me on the swings and calls me 'babygirl'.

I really like school but I don't like who I sit next to in class.Cindy, she's not really nice to me.

Today it's lunch time and I was sitting next to James and we were talking about our lunch.

"My dad put orange slices,a fruit roll up and a sandwhich with a juice."he said taking his things out of his power ranger lunch box.

"Well my mom put apple slices,two laffy taffy's and a Pb&J with a juice."I said taking my stuff out.

"Well I will give you two of my oranges if you give me two of your apples?"he said giving me a smile. I giggled and nodded because he was missing a few teeth like me.

We traded and then Cindy came over to our table with her Cinderella lunchbox without even saying hi.

I looked at James and he shrugged and continued eating.

She looked at what was inside her box and made a funny face then looked at what james and I had.

"Gimmie one of your candies."she said trying to grab one and I pulled my food back and James did the same to his.

"You have your own."James said.

"But I want what you guys have."she said taking one of my candies.

"Hey!Give that back!"I said standing up pushing my chair back.

"Say please."she teases starting to open my candy.

"Why do I have to it's not yours!?"I starting to cry angrily wiping my eyes.

"Cindy give her her candy back or I will tell."James said beginning to raise his hand.

"Go ahead I won't get in trouble because that's my daddy."she said eating my candy having me and James with our faces like fishes with our mouths open like 'o'.

"No way!Stop storytelling."I said. I was his babygirl not her!

"I'm not,my Mommy told me.So give me all your candy or i'm telling on you guys."she said smiling.

"You can't do that!"Me and James say at the same time.

She nods saying "Yes I can,now gimmie."

I looked at James and he looked at me then we gave her our candy.

I walk into the classroom ready to pick up Lizzy and I see her sitting next to her best friend James,he taps her shoulder and points to me.

"Mommy!"she gets up from her seat running to me as I crouch down to give her a hug.

"How was school?"I ask. She looks down and plays with her fingers and mumbles 'fine'.Now I know something was up. My baby loves school and would never say it was just fine.

I gave her my 'tell me now'look and asked."What happened?"

"The mean girl Cindy took me and James's candy."she said.I looked over at the table where they were sitting and James didn't look to happy. But I was still confused on why they didn't tell on her.

"Well did you tell Jere-I mean Mr.Thomas?"I asked and she shook her head no.I looked over at Jeremy and he was helping another student but then looked up at me with a smile and a wave.

"Why didn't you tell when she took your things?"I asked.

"Because she said that Mr.Thomas is her daddy and that I will get in trouble if I don't give them to her."she said looking like she was about to cry.This was not settling with me at all.

Wait.Daddy? He has a kid?Why didn't he tell me? We'll I guess he really didn't have to tell me because there's nothing going on between us.But what if he has a girlfriend!?Or worse a wife!

"Go get your stuff,I have to talk Mr.Thomas really quick."She nodded going to her cubbie and I walked over to Jeremy who is erasing the board as other parents came in to pick up their children and leave.

"Can I talk to you for a second?"I asked. He put the eraser down and said "Sure,what's up?"

"I know this may come off as sudden but do you have children?"I asked and he looked at me like I was crazy.

"What? No. I love children, but I don't have any of my own. Why would you ask that Destiny?"he said furrowing his eyebrows.

"Because your babygirl just told me that someone took her candy and she couldn't tell you because that child said your were her father and she wouldn't get in trouble."I said crossing my arms frustrated.

"Well she I certainly mistaken,I have no children .I don't even have a girlfriend i'm single."he said putting emphasis on 'at all'. I was glad that he said single and tried to hide the small smile forming to stay serious.

"Elisabeth can you come here for a second?"Jeremy asked.She looked up from the table she was at talking to James and walked over.

"Yes?"she asked looking up at him with her adorable self.

"Who told you I was their daddy and took your candy?"he asked. She looked around for a second then pointed to the little blonde girl named Cindy who talking to another girl.

"Cindy?"She nodded.

"Ok.Thank you,you can go back to what you were doing."she left and I turned to him and said.

"So was her mom an ex of yours?"

"Truth is I never seen her mother.It's always her uncle who brings her and picks her up.But I think the her mother's name and number is on the contact list i'll call her."he said turning around but stopped when a new voice entered the room.

"No need to call baby i'm right here."
