《can you love me most ✓》6

"I'm home!" I shouted through the mansion and waited Eliana to run downstairs from her room.
And she did- she sprinted down the stairs with a stupid smile on her face and almost tackled me to the floor with her because she couldn't stop in time if I wouldn't have stepped out of the way.
"Ow! Damn those hard marble floors." She cries out as she touches her shoulder she fell on while holding one hand out for me to help her get up again.
"What's that smile on your face?" And then, as I ask her, the smile is becoming even brighter. She lowered her voice a little and put her hand in front of my ear to whisper into it.
Of course- Oliver visited her at the office and she had a great hookup. I scoff at the obvious answer and walk into the kitchen with her following me. "Isn't dad at the company today too?"
Eliana shrugs her shoulders and takes a seat next to me and plays with her ring Oliver gave her. "He was." "He would've killed Oliver if he would've seen or heard you two." Eliana doesn't care about this. She thinks he would bluff.
I know he wouldn't when it comes to his kids.
El looks up at me and moves her head to the side while looking at me. "Talking about my smile... why isn't there a smile in your face?"
I lean closer to her so I could talk a little bit quieter.
"The guy at my birthday... the one I've spent the night with. Turns out he's my psychology professor now."
It takes some time for her to realize what I told her until I already see her mouth open in excitement. And I know that she's way too loud. I love this girl with my whole heart and she is really smart but she just can't control her emotions...

"Your birthday-hookup is your professor?!" She shouts so loud, I'm convinced even our gardeners heard her from outside.
"You hooked up with someone?" Oh god. I hate her. I hate her so much. Dad heard us. "You're here? I thought you're at work?" I ask him but he turns his hands up in defense and looks at us. "Well not anymore. I took the day off earlier."
Mama and Jacob walk into the kitchen. She was starting to coock dinner while Jacob got himself some glass of water.
"Did you know this, angel?" Dad asks her while walking over to the kitchen island where she is cutting up some onions. "Know what, Mason?"
"About friday?" Mom chuckled at his tone and looked up at him to cup his cheek, slowly moving her thumb ober it to calm him down a little.
"Yeah. She told me on Saturday..." mama replied to him. But then Eliana interrupted with the fact: "with her new psychology professor." That makes bot of our parents still and then look over to me.
"With your professor? How old is this man, Gigi?" Mom asked. Letting out a frustrated sigh, I let my head fall on my arms that lay on the dining table. "I don't know." "But we're going to find out." El says.
I didn't know it was possible for my heartbeat to escalate that much by even thinking about a certain person... But it does.
The thought that they probably think that I slept with a sixty-year old, wrinkly man, grosses me out. Mom and dad's age gap is ten years. So they must at least think he's thirty to fourty years older than me to react that way.
"Gross." Jacob adds before taking another sip from his water before setting it down and sitting on the kitchen counter. "Oh so the only thing you and Leah do is holding each other hands when you meet?" Eliana asks him.

"Yeah. That's exactly what we do." He says while giving us a wink of amusement.
_____
"There! There he is, mom! No sixty-year old creep!" Eliana shouted. We changed locations from
The kitchen to the living room because Eliana insisted on doing some research about him.
Mama comes over behind us and looks at my MacBook to look at his Facebook profile. "Italian.." she says. "You have some good taste in men, baby." She didn't say this until a few years ago...
Eliana swipes through his pictures and there are mostly workout photos with his shirtless body on it. God that man is ripped. She stops at a picture with Mr. Miller and zooms.
"Who. The. Hell. Is this?!" She asks me. "That seems to be his best friend. My English professor." She looks at me in disbelief. "God what is wrong with this school? Maybe I'll switch to school too instead of working."
"So. Listen closely, Gigi. He is thirty years old. Which means your age gap is only nine years." Yeah, thanks for the math.. "His birthday is on June 30th which means he's a cancer... Oh my god, he's a cancer! You know what that means?!"
"I actually don't..." "It means that scorpio and cancer work perfect together. We've found your soulmate, girlie." "Oh fuck off, Eliana."
_____
I needed advise from probably the worst person I could ask about this but I couldn't get this girl out of my head.
"Uncle Keenan, uncle Keenan!" Lizzie runs from her room into the dining room we're sitting in and jumps directly into my lap. "What's going on Lizliz?"
"Do you want to have a tea party with me and my dolls?" "Oh I would love to but I need to discuss something with your dad first." She puts a little pout on her little face as she fidgets with my jacket.
"Baby how about you ask Adriana if she wants to play with you instead?" He asks her. She seems pretty pleased with the idea of her father and goes to look for her.
Lizzie is three years old. Aiden has been a single father until he and my sister Adriana realized that what they felt for each other was more than friends one year ago. They are good for each other.
Good for him finding someone who truly loves him after Lizzies mom hit the road and never gave a sign of existing after giving birth.
"So.. where were we?" I asked him. "Your young fling." Tension fills my body at his choice of words. He also could've called her 'slut' and it meant the same thing.
"Don't call her a fling." He looked at me as he took off the cap of his second beer and brought it to his lips. "So she wasn't... just a one night stand?"
"Are you seriously asking if I would keep fucking her now that I know she's my student?" He just shakes his head. "You're not making any sense, Keenan."
"And you're not the help I expected." He sighs a little and then leans his elbows on his knees while looking at me. "Look. All I'm saying as your friend is that you seem to be really stress relieved after that night. I haven't seen you so relaxed in a long time. I'm not telling you to date the girl. I just say if the sex was good... why not do it again? No one would find out."
He's making sense. But I don't know if I want to take the risk. Or if it's even in her interest. I haven't exchanged one full sentence with the woman ever since the night.
_____
I love Eliana for being so chaotic.
I love her damily in general.
