I twirled the spaghetti with my fork, completely zoned out from the world. A heavy hand landed on my head,

"OUCH," I screamed with a mouthful of pasta,

"I've been calling for like 5 mins now Ele!" Acacia said, sitting back down and staring me down.

"Sorry, I've just been out of it lately."

"Oh, do you want to talk about it?" She asked silently,

"I've just...it's been hard, and I relapsed again on the weekends and I just can't."

Acacia rushed to my seat and covered my head with her jacket then pulled me into a hug. She knew how much I hated people seeing me cry.

"Shhh, I know it's hard but you've come so far and I'm so so proud of you love. Don't beat yourself up about it." Acacia wiped my tear with her hello kitty handkerchief and kissed my wrists. She took out her white eyeliner and began drawing kuromi onto my arm.

"What are you doing?" I sniffled,

"If you ever feel like cutting again, think of kuromi, we don't want kuromi iconic outfit to be filled with holes now do we?"

"No we don't." I smiled and hugged her tightly.

As a child, I had a small kuromi plushie that I was emotionally attached to. One day as Acacia and I were playing, I nipped Kuromi's shirt with my scissors when I tried to cut some loose thread. I cries for an hour until Acacia was finally able to stitch her back up. Ever since then, Acacia always made sure that my clothes and my plushie's clothes never had any holes.

She took out her makeup bag and touched up my mascara and eyeliner.

"What time is it?" I asked while Acacia pat some powder under my eyes with her pastel pink makeup brush,

"Uhhh...2:50pm," she said and dabbed some red tint onto my cheeks.

"OH SHIT, I HAVE TO MEET AZIA AT THE FRONT PARKING LOT." I picked up my tote bag and dragged Acacia out her seat.

"SLOW DOWN WE STILL HAVE TIME!!" She whined as her Mary Janes clicked onto the polished wooden floor.

We panted as we finally reached the concrete car park.

"Mums, I'm going to end up getting abs if this is going to be a regular occurrence." Acacia leaned onto a car's hood while chugging some water.

"GET OFF MY CAR." A random boy screamed.

"SUCK YOUR UNCLE." Acacia screamed back and flipped them off.

"Acacia! Let's not draw attention to ourselves." I giggled,

"Good point,"

"Hey."

I turned around to see her standing in front of me.

"Hey," I greeted nervously and tucked my hair behind my ear.

"Ready to go?" She asked pointing in the direction of the exit.

"Yeah let me just say bye to Acacia..." I turned back around only to find that Acacia was nowhere to be found.

"Sorry about that, shall we?" I asked Azia,

"Sure, my car is this way." She said pouting in the direction of a white BMW.

We walked there awkwardly, not knowing what to say to each other,

"So-? Sorry you go first." We giggled in unison,

"I insist," she smiled,

"How was the rest of your day," I started,

"It was good, well it was tolerable, had a meeting with Mr Gray cause apparently my attendance was bad, turns out he's mistaken me for another girl because we 'look the same' just cause she's Asian too," Azia gestured her fingers to look like speech marks,

"You're lying," I gasped,

"As in, I told him that I was half filipina and Ria, the girl he thought was me, was Vietnamese, I ditched the meeting after that."

I covered my mouth and giggled,

"No way, it's the fact I got into something similar but a random girl asked me to speak filipino with some boy in the class, I told her I can't because clearly the boy was Malaysian, she then goes isn't that the same."

"Lord have mercy, clearly basic geography and respect is very rare in this school." Azia laughed,

"Ah fuck ouch my ribs, don't make me laugh I beg, the painnn." She complained,

"Sorryyy." I giggled,

"No worries," Azia opened the passenger side door and gestured for me to get in,

"After you m'lady,"

"Why thank you kind miss," I curtsied dramatically and slid into the car seat.

Azia shut the door and got into the driver's side door.

"I thought your friend dropped you off this morning," I inquired,

Azia put her hand at the back of my seat and looked behind us as she backed out of her parking space,

"," she teased and looked at me briefly before turning back to face the road,

"I'm not, I was just...I just saw you getting out of her car," my cheeks flashed pink and I buried my face into my hands,

"Relax I'm just messing with you, she did but I forgot my psychology coursework at home so I had to take the bus back home and decided to drive back to school instead,"

"That sounds longgg." I remarked,

"It was, but I didn't get told off luckily."

"Oh , feel free to connect your phone if you wanted to listen to music bro." She said,

"You sure? Cause like if you don't like it then that's on you," I pulled out my phone and scrolled through the devices available until 'Zia's car speaker' popped up and I tapped it.

"Of course I'm sure, you look like you have good music taste." Azia looked at me again and smiled warmly.

"Till I met youuu...ah man this song is so nostalgic," Azia sang,

"TILL I MET YOUUUUU, I NEVER KNEW LOVE WAS," we belted our lungs out with the car windows rolled down. A few bystanders stared at us weirdly with others just ignoring us completely. We laughed and I looked at her, damn, she's actually really nice to be around, I really misjudged her.
