Rohan's P.O.V.

"Ha na yaar, I'm on my way," I dragged out as I started the car.

"Don't use that tone! Shameless boy," Sunil joked.

"Sunil shut up and let me enjoy my ride home, I am so sleepy and tired," I snapped before I hung up and threw the phone on the passenger seat.

I was so tired, all I wanted to do was go home, take a shower and sleep. Dinner could go to hell. My head was honestly bursting because of how tiring today was.

I parked the car and then retrieved my bag from the passenger seat before walking inside the house.

As soon as I walked inside the living room, I heard Sanjana's laughter. Hearing that, a smile pulled in my lips as I walked inside the kitchen.

I stood in the doorway as I stared at the scene in front of me. Sanjana was laughing at something mom had said while she cut the vegetables and Monica was making weird faces as she kneaded the dough.

"Ah my stomach aches," Sanjana gasped as she wiped her eyes.

"Nahi sacchi, that lady legit told me that and then her dog--" mom burst out laughing too.

Once they recovered, Sanjana sauteed the vegetables. I cleared my throat and they all looked at me with wide eyes.

"What's happening?" I asked as I stared at Sanjana.

"Sanjana here said that she wanted to impre--"

"I wanted to learn cooking," she interrupted and narrowed her eyes at Monica.

Monica snorted while rolled the dough.

"Monica, stop bullying her," mom chided in and Monica only laughed out loud.

I don't know what faces my mom made in Monica's direction but in a minute they both were out of the kitchen leaving Sanjana and me alone. I walked closer to the kitchen counter and leaned my hip against it as I crossed my arms.

"Why don't you freshen up?" She asked softly.

"What are you making?"

"Chole bhature,"

"Oh, that's my favourite!"

"Yeah mom told me that,"

"So, Monica was saying that you wanted to impre--"

"I didn't want to impress you or anyone! It's just I was at home and I wanted to learn how to cook and help mom and then Monica was already helping mom so she assumed that I wanted to impress you," she said all of it in one breath and puffed her cheeks.

"Mhmm I see,"

"Arey, sacchi mein!"

"Ha baba, I understood,"

"Now go and freshen up, we'll be serving dinner soon,"

"Okayji,"

"Oh and Sanjana?" I asked as I stood by the door.

"Hmmm?"

"I'm still impressed," I said.

Sanjana just chuckled as she shook her head before focusing on cutting the vegetables.

"I'm famished," Sunil dragged out as he took a whiff of the chole.

"Haye rabba! Sunil stop shoving your nose inside that!" Monica groaned as she pulled his back.

"Rohan?"

"Yes Sunil?"

I looked up from my file to find myself staring at my whole family who stood in my office.

"Oh hello everyone,"

"Get ready," Sunil said as he threw a bag towards me.

"What for?"

"'What for?' you forgot my wedding date Rohan?" Monica grumbled.

"Wha-- oh no of course I didn't forget it! I was just waiting for you guys," I said with a fake laugh.

Sanjana snorted under her breath as Monica glared in my direction.

"Of course you forgot," mom said as she shook her head.

"Change! We're going to be late and if we are, I'm going to strangle you to death!" Monica said.

I rushed inside my washroom to change but not before I heard Sanjana say 'strangle him over my dead body'

I quickly changed into the blazer and we all rushed to our cars as we drove to the temple.

They're having a really small wedding because Monica didn't want a big wedding. Surprisingly, she invited Sanjana's family as well whom she met over the course of her stay in our house and Sanjana's dad immediately adopted her as his, calling her his daughter. Apparently, her father is a philanthropist and has fostered many girls throughout his age. So Sanjana's family is going to be the ladki wale(the girl's side family) while we'll be the ladke wale.

After all the rituals were done, the pandit pronounced them as a married couple and we all hooted loudly as we hugged each other.

"Just in time! We all get to celebrate karwa chauth next week!" Mom said excitedly while the girls rolled their eyes.

"I hope you take good care of her, otherwise you should know what will happen," Sanjana's dad, Vishnu said.

"Dad! Stop scaring him!" Sanjana scolded her father who only chuckled back.

We all then decided to head home, where mom had decided throwing a small party.

"Did dad ever threaten you?" Sanjana asked as she buckled her seat belt.

"No,"

"Sacchi?"

"Urm... Not as much as we had threatened Roshan," I said.

Sanjana just shook her head before leaning her head against the window.

"You look beautiful,"

"I know, I was born beautiful," Sanjana said as she flipped her hair.

"Of course you were," I chuckled out loud.
