《Interspecies. (Alien Fanfic)》Chapter 6

"Mr. Yutani, I've had sex with the creature."
The words flooded my head, what did I just say?
Even I was surprised at my sudden out burst. How could I have said this? Why, in God's name, would I tell anyone that? Was it out of desperation?
The heads that turned as soon as I said such a thing was creepy. All heads turning to you was alarming, quite scary to be honest. Some were disgusted, other were curious, and others were confused. I would be to, if someone I knew just blurted out that they had sex with an alien species. Seriously, what was wrong with me? Truly, the only gaze that bothered me was Sergeant Barnes. His eyes weren't judgmental, nor interested. He just seemed to... take it in?
I didn't know what else to say.
"Excuse me Mr. Yutani, I apologize for my sudden outburst." I could only reply with that, but he had taken a step forward to face me.
"What the fuck? What the fuck!?" I heard Sanchez's voice ahead of me, the tone in which was confused and disgusted. I understood why though, hearing news of a human and xenomorph having sexual intercourse was something that some would find disgusting. Even I was unsure if it was disgusting or not.
"Is this true, Ms. Sorenson?" Yutani's voice pulled me out of my thoughts, and I was unsure of how to answer the question. There was no going back, now was there?
I nodded. "Yes sir."
"Interesting..." He replied, holding his hands behind his back. It was an intimidating stare that came from him, making me stare at the floor instead of his eyes.
"I've never heard of Human and Xenomorph intercourse... And I am quite unsure of how Xenomorph's reproduce among themselves, let alone intercourse." He was talking to himself, letting his thoughts out probably. "Very well. I've changed my mind." He looked to me with a smile. It was oddly reassuring, but at the same time... Unsettling.
"Y-You have? That means the plan is still on?" I asked, being filled with hope.
"For now, not yet. I won't carry out the plan on leaving them and abandoning our mission. But I won't continue our mission to capture them either." He said. Well, that's something, I guess. "No, instead I want you to write a full report on it. Every detail in the report, please. Then we will talk about carrying out the initial mission."
I sighed, a little disappointed and let down.
"I understand. I'll get to work on it immediately, sir."
"That you will." He replied.
"Okay, but what the fuck? You're fine with this, learning that she fucked a bug? That's disgusting, who the hell does that? I say we burn 'em to the ground." Sanchez began, but Yutani ended him as soon as he began.
"Final orders. I don't want to hear anymore."
Sanchez looked defeated, shaking his head while he glared at me.
"Yeah.. Me neither." He said as I was under his disgusting gaze. As he stared at me, I only grew more uncomfortable. This man... Something was not right with him. I felt violated under his gaze.
Before I could speak in retaliation, a figure broke my line of sight of Sanchez. I looked up, seeing the familiar brown hair and blue eyed face. Sergeant Barnes, he had returned to me. A part of me felt happy and relieved.

"Disappointed?" He asked, it was like he was reading my mind.
Huffing in defeat, I sat down. "Yeah. I mean, how could I not be?" I asked, swaying my legs back and forth under the seat as a nervous habit.
"I get it... I guess. But hey... Sex with a Xenomorph? I have to admit, you caught me off guard on that one, doll."
I chuckled, nodding my head. "I tend to do that."
"Hey, I'm not complaining. I think it's cool. Not somethin' I would do, but it's cool. Oh-- sorry about Sanchez, he is a little creepy but he's a good guy once you get to know him." He was trying to peel for his friend, make him seem like he wasn't that bad of the guy. I didn't agree, but I appreciated the effort and him apologizing on Sanchez's behalf.
"I don't think I would like to know what he's really like, if I'm honest with you. He might act different with me rather than you, his best friend." It was true, I was a girl and Sanchez really was creepy. I can't imagine what he'd be like if we were even remotely close to being friends.
"You got me on that one doll. But I wouldn't blame him, I think yer pretty too."
I scoffed, looking at him with a skeptical face. Was he serious? Even after what I'd said?
"Callin' it like I see it. That's all." He sent a wink towards me, making me smile in return and shake my head. I appreciated the effort though, maybe getting to know him would be such a bad idea.
"Thanks... At least you don't think I'm a freak-- Ugh, I have to write that stupid report. He wants it right away... But I'm hungry." I whined, my stomach grumbling right on cue.
"I can tell... While we don't have any hot food, we have sandwiches and such. Would you like me to make you one?" He asked, just standing up right away and taking his gear off. We were in the safe zone, so we had a moment to finally breathe.
"That'd be lovely... Thank you uh...?" I asked, trying to remember his name. It felt weird, just calling him by his last name and title.
"James. James Barnes at your service, ma'am." He formally introduced himself, causing a laugh from me.
"You sound like a butler." I watched him make a simply turkey sandwich and hand it to me. I happily dug in, relishing in the taste of actual food, even in the simple taste of a sandwich. I was so exhausted, even after that nap. My body was sore after... Certain events. I could still feel Zerksis inside me, it was like he never left.
Humans can't get pregnant by Xenomorph's, right? I mentally asked myself, and at the same time, mentally slapped myself for asking such a dumb question. Naahh, I'm on birth control. Wait, does birth control even work on Xenomorph sperm, does it cancel out?
Stop overthinking, Helena! You're worrying too much.
I sighed, I'm just so damn tired!
"Something on your mind, doll?" He asked, stopping himself from taking another bite of his own sandwich.

"Not really, I'm just tired." I answered, but looked at me like I was stupid for what I said. "What?"
"Doll, everyone says that when they have something important on their mind. I have a feeling that it's not just being tired. Really though, what's on your mind?" I was shy to answer, afraid he might think that I'm a freak. He had been so understanding so far, so why not?
"Worrying about whether or not I can get pregnant by a xenomorph." I mumbled, and could literally see the food fly out of his mouth as he spit it out.
Instead of a disgusting reaction, he just laughed. Hysterically.
"It's not funny! It's a serious thing!"
"I know, I know!" He said, trying to catch his breath as he continued to laugh. "It's just not something you expect to hear, the worry of getting pregnant by an alien... But... I don't think you have anything to worry about. Humans can't get pregnant by horses and they fuck 'em all the time. Why would you get pregnant by a xenomorph?" He asked, making me think of the weird comparison. At least he was trying to comfort me, right? This man, he was very kind.
"Thanks... I guess?" I said, finishing my sandwich. "But I really am tired. Where should I sleep?" I yawned, placing the paper plate on the table.
"Well, considering most of the base is over run by Xenomorph's, space is limited. We're in the East housing halls, so we've got some rooms but not enough for everyone." He began to explain, which I began to understand what he was getting at.
"So, in other words... People will have some roomies? Man, I've haven't had one of those since Freshman year of college." I sighed, rolling my eyes. "So, who am I rooming with? Obviously not a Xenomorph, but hopefully not Sanchez." I groaned, shaking my head. "Please, anything but Sanchez." I practically begged, earning a chuckle from him.
"No, not Sanchez. But not a woman either if that's what you're hoping for. No, it's the one and only... James Barnes." He pointed to himself, making me roll my eyes again. While it wasn't a complete let down, I wasn't uncomfortable with it. "Are we sharing a bed?" Was the first thing I asked, so... maybe I was a little uncomfortable.
"There's only one but I'll be sleeping on the floor." He shrugged, seemingly not bothered.
"Okay, hey. That's not cool, you can't sleep on the ground. That isn't fair on you." I replied, but was I actually willing to let him sleep in the same bed as me, even if platonic?
"Nah, it's alright doll. I've been in the service long enough to have the carpet floor feel like a luxury to me rather than using rocks for pillows." His smile was kind, standing up and nodding in the direction we were supposed to go. While on the way there, an arm blocked me from entering the room with James.
Seeing it was Sanchez, he wasn't alone. He had a couple of his military buddies, which made me wonder if he was doing this to impress them or show himself off.
"Hey sweetie. Care to join me in bed instead of Barnes?" He earned a few chuckles from his friends, but none from James and I.
"Come on man. That isn't funny." James spoke up, placing a hand on Sanchez's shoulder only for it to get shoved off.
"I'm just messin' around! No harm in it Jamie." He returned his attention to me, the sickening smell of his sweat wafting to my nose. "Besides, I wanna see how freaky she can get, since she likes fuckin' Aliens. What ya say, sweetie?" His hand wandered to my hip, and something in me snapped. He was annoying me for way too long.
In a swift movement, I grabbed the arm that was blocking me while my free hand grabbed the back of his head. I smashed it against the door frame, and while I didn't incapacitate him, he stumbled back with a cry of agony. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see James smiling and holding back a laugh.
He opened his mouth to speak but I didn't give him a chance. Not this time. He had been opening his mouth way too much since we met, it was about time to shut him up.
"Listen, 'sweetie'. I may be freaky and fuck Aliens, which means even a freakshow like me is outta your league. Your dick wouldn't even measure up to the size of an Aliens, pathetic meathead. Fuck off, Sanchez. You're not the only one with combat experience."
The look of shock on his face said it all, trying to brush off the impending bruise on the temple of his head. "Crazy bitch!" He yelled, walking off with his little entourage of assholes. I was relieved when they left and things didn't escalate further. I just wanted some sleep, it had been a weird fucking day.
The sound of the door closing behind me sounded, along with a click of a lock. I dropped on the bed, giving a drawn out groan of satisfaction. Finally, a soft mattress. I wasn't completely comfortable though, I could see James making a makeshift bed on the ground and I felt bad. It wasn't fair he had to sleep on the floor while I had the entire bed to myself. It was a big bed after all... There was nothing wrong with sharing is there?
"Don't bother. Come, sleep on the bed with me."
"But-"
"No buts. You deserve it, you've been extremely helpful today. Thank you. Now lay your ass down, Barnes." I smiled, patting the spot next to me. He was hesitant, but he came and laid down next to me. A little closer then I liked, but it wasn't bad. We rested under the blankets, facing each other.
"You're welcome, doll... Goodnight." He said, turning around and facing away.
"Goodnight, James." I didn't turn away though, I kept facing his back that was turned to me. It was odd, but for once I genuinely enjoyed some human contact. Closing my eyes, it wasn't long before sleep took me.
