《Kidnapped by the Alpha》Chapter 19: Kiss

Why did she ever think she wanted to stay? Was it because she felt loved at the moment when she saw him throwing a big fight when he thought that she had died? Probably. But at the moment, she most definitely did not want to stay with him.
She wasn't aloud to go anywhere unless he was carrying her, which she thought was ridiculous considering she was able to walk just fine. Her legs weren't in cast at least and she wasn't using crutches, so she should have been able to walk. Isabelle sighed and looked down at the ground in Jared's room which was a carpeted gray.
She hated being like this, all she wanted to do was do something by herself without being watched like a hawk twenty four seven, it just wasn't fair.
Jared disappeared into the bathroom for a moment and she took this as her opportunity to escape from the room get away from him. She started to stand up but before she could stand up all the way, Jared rushed out of the bathroom and over to her. "No," he said pushing her down on the bed, "you are not allowed to stand up."
Isabelle rolled her eyes, "according to who? The doctor never said anything about me not being able to stand up so I think I'm able to stand. Plus, you let me stand when I went to go to the bathroom to change into a different pair of cloths at the hospital. You weren't complaining about me walking then."
Jared rolled his eyes but looked away, as if realizing what she had said was true. "True, but that doesn't mean I want you walking now. I just want you to get as much rest as possible so that you can heal."
Isabelle looked at him before answering, "it's nice that you care and all, but I want to be able to do some things for myself. I don't need you to be guarding over me twenty four seven, it's just not right." She then laughed to herself because of the guarding comment.

Jared looked at her confused, "what are you laughing about?"
"Oh, nothing," Isabelle said with a sly smile, "it's just that since I said you're guarding me and you're a wolf, you're acting like an actual dog, or guard dog I should say. I apparently have my own personal guard dog."
Jared chuckled, "yes, you do, and I'm that personal guard dog, and many more things." He raised an eyebrow suggestively at that with a smirk on his face.
Isabelle rolled her eyes and grabbed a pillow, throwing it at him, "not funny!" Unfortunately he caught the pillow before it hit his face and she huffed, crossing her arms.
Jared threw his head back and laughed, "oh yes it is. I think it is very funny, especially when I see that beautiful blush upon you face."
That only made Isabelle blush more and stood up, ignoring Jared's protest. "I'm leaving," she said before she went towards the door.
She was a few feet from the door when she felt a hand grab her arm and pull her back into a wall, but it wasn't a wall, she realized when she looked up, it was Jared. "No, you're not," Jared told her while he kept her pressed against him.
"What makes you think you can make me do what I want and don't want to do?" She glared up at him as she said this and she turned around in his arms, knowing it would be pointless to try and struggle out of them while he was holding her like this.
Jared narrowed his eyes at her and answered, "I can if I want to, and right now, I don't want you to walk, so you are not going to walk."
Isabelle narrowed her eyes also and said, "who's going to make me?" She smirked slightly at that and her thoughts were interrupted when he suddenly picked her up and said, "I am." He then walked her over to the bed and laid her back down before climbing on top of her, leaning over with his hands on either side of her head. "What I say goes and you're going to listen to me."

Isabelle shook her head as she looked up at him, "I don't think so. I think I'm going to get around you eventually."
"Want to bet on that?" Jared asked her with a raised eyebrow and smirk. His eyes darted to her lips before darting back to her eyes so quickly that Isabelle thought that she must have been imagining it when she saw that.
Isabelle shook that out of her head before she nodded, "yeah, I do."
Jared grinned, "I was hoping would say that." Before she could possibly process what he was doing, she saw his eyes turn dark and he leaned down, pressing his lips to hers.
Isabelle was so shocked to say the least that it took her a moment to process what was going on before she started to hesitantly kiss him back. His lips were so soft and so perfect. This kiss was perfect for her too, the perfect first kiss for her. It was sweet and gentle, not at all what she was expecting it to be. But then of course, how was she supposed to imagine a kiss when she's never been kissed before?
Jared ran his tongue slowly and softly on her bottom lip, begging for entrance. She slowly let him in and she moaned when she did, feeling the taste of him on her tongue. She closed her eyes and pulled him closer, her hands tangling in his hair as she held onto it. Her body was erupting into fireworks everywhere. Jared ran his hand down her side and up her shirt achingly slow. She moaned again as he wrapped his arm around her and deepened the kiss even further.
Jared pulled back a moment later and started to kiss down her neck. Isabelle was breathing heavily and dug her nails into his back through the t-shirt, especially when he kissed a spot on her neck where she knew instantly was her weak spot. She knew that if she had been standing, her knees would have buckled at this.
Her senses slowly came back to her as he pulled back and she looked up at him wide eyed. She then pushed him off of her suddenly and he tumbled down to the ground, not expecting that. She sat up and looked down at him before half yelling, "why did you do that?!"
Jared grinned at her and stood up, wiping imaginary dust off of him. "Oh, come on, you know you liked it and wouldn't mind it I did it again."
Isabelle blushed but didn't deny it because it was true, "so what? That wasn't the point. I didn't want you to do it," no matter how much I liked it, she added as an after thought. She then stood up, "I'm going to go find Abby," she announced before heading to the door. Maybe she would understand better and defend her on this subjuct, who knew right? But she probably will and maybe blow up in Jared's face because of it.
Isabelle walked towards the door and was glad that Jared didn't try to stop her this time. She smiled and headed out the door to go find her best friend.

Synergy
Dear Inspector, Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from being a Player. Hey! Laugh all you want, but I had to try. With no rules down here, who's to say that I can't resign? Anyway, my reasons are simple: I'm neither a gamer nor a hero. You got the wrong person for the job. Sure, the pay is decent and I could pretty much live like a king if, you know, I wasn't so busy trying to survive. I have major concerns about the demonic dagger bound to my soul too. Come to think of it, I've never asked to be transported to this fantasy land either and would like you to return me home, thank you very much. I don't want supernatural powers, I don't want to complete quests after quests, and I don't want to be your test subject anymore. What? I'm not whining, you're whining. Stop making excuses and let me leave already. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you'll find a better replacement after I'm gone for good. Sincerely,Randel, the Mad Painter What to expect from Synergy: --> Some GameLit elements are presented subversively. If you want the protagonist to “play the game” properly, this might not be the story for you.--> No filler chapters; the story's structure is already plotted out. It's going to have six story arcs.--> Character development happens slowly, over many chapters. Don't expect a perfect protagonist right off the bat.--> Some romance, but it will never be the main focus.--> Humor and dark elements in equal measure, but not to the extent that I’d label this story as “Comedy” or “Grimdark”. ... and lots and lots of Author's Notes. See you on the other side of the portal!

Requiem of the Sea
Maya is going to kill gods and rule the seas with an iron fist. She doesn't know that yet. Outcasted her entire life, she has had to fight for every scrap of food she's eaten. Her only escape is to get enough Essence, a powerful resource that awakens the innate magic within humans, to make something of herself. And just when she managed to defeat an entire dungeon on her own, her tormenters arrive to steal it from her. Cast into an abyss, Maya meets a man who the world has long thought to be dead. He's willing to train her, and Maya has grand plans of becoming a pirate captain. Maya is going to gather a crew, grow in strength, and carve her legacy into the world with blood. Requiem of the Sea is a vast seafaring story. The world is very large, and I enjoy trickling information in about it slowly as opposed to dumping it all at once. The story is updated once every two days. Thanks for reading!
