《Kidnapped by the Alpha》Chapter 14: Mall Trip

This time, Isabelle wasn't being as picky about what to get, she didn't have any of her own clothes in general, if she did, she didn't know about them. Jared and Luke were also paying for everything they bought. They apparently had money so she didn't have to worry about how much she spent but that really wasn't in her nature to not worry about how much something cost.
Isabelle laughed with Abby as they went through the stores. All of a sudden, Abby says, "we should each get a dress or two."
Isabelle groaned but nodded, "alright, let's go find something then."
Abby squealed and clapped her hands. "Yeah, come on!" She grabbed her arm and started pulling her into a dress store.
Isabelle wasn't particularly fond of dresses but she could live with them. They went through the racks and by the time they were halfway through the store, Abby had already found two and she said she was stopping after that. Now she was working on trying to find something for Isabelle.
They went through a few rack of dresses before something caught Isabelle's eye. It was a blue dress with a belt around the middle. On the upper half it was baby blue and had white swirls while the bottom half was plain and and a darker shade or two of blue. She held it up to Abby and she nodded, smiling widely and clapping excitedly. "Oh, yes. You should totally get that. It will look great on you!"
Isabelle grinned, "thank you. I'll go try it on." She walked over to the dressing room to try on the dress. When it was on, she smiled. It seemed to be made for her because it fit perfectly.
She walked out of the dressing room and went to pay for the dress, deciding to not show Abby what she looked like in it until she decided to wear it.

Isabelle then turned to Abby once it was paid for and said, "come on. Let's go. I've got something in mind that I want."
Abby nodded and asked, "where are we going?" Isabelle walked out of the store, Jared and Luke right behind them but they were ignoring them while they were shopping, besides giving them the bags that they had bought with clothes in them of course.
"You'll find out," Isabelle said with a smile before walking into a shoe store. There were so many options that she liked and so did Abby. In the end they both got about five pairs of shoes. The each got two pairs of tennis shoes, a pair of boots, and two pairs of nice shoes.
"There, I think we're done here," Isabelle said with a smile to Abby.
Abby grinned and grabbed her arm, "good let's go."
She laughed as she was being pulled out of the store with her things but was allowed to put half of her load in Jared's hands to carry. He was already loaded, poor guy. Note the sarcasm. Oh well, he'll just have to live with it.
They went to a few more stores before they decided to leave the mall. They all piled in the van once everything was piled up and headed home. Wait. Home? That's not home, that's a prison. What am I thinking? Stop it Isabelle. You're not supposed to think of that place as home. She sighed and looked out the window, still ignoring the guys.
Abby then suddenly turned to her and asked, "so, how was that? We got to choose anything we wanted with no limit, which I think is amazing. I can't believe that happened. It's like the best day ever today."
Isabelle nodded and laughed in agreement, "I know, it is the best day ever. We got back at them. Seeing them getting bit by the dog and getting whatever we wanted for no limit. I'd say that is the best day I've ever had." She then looked to the front of the car and out of the window, just in time to see something run across the road right in front of them.

Jared jerked the car, trying to avoid hitting whatever it was and that was when the car spun out of control.

8 3025Wait… Why is this a Skill? [Dropped]
Author's Note: Now, I just lost my motivation for writing this. Feel free to read until the last available chapter. I might come back to writing, but it will be another fiction. ========================= During school, Endou Kouta and the whole school were summoned to another world. With the cliché line, “Please save this world from the demon lord!” He and his classmates were given skills to strengthen themselves. However, Kouta, who was labeled “King of the School”, was given no skills. He was shunned by the royals but not by his classmates. His classmates then helped him train during their stay at the castle. During an expedition to subjugate a monster, Kouta was killed… not. Instead, he was given a skill he never thought he would have. This is the adventure of a closet online gamer in another world.
8 176The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic
