《Shadow》Part thirteen Logan's perspective

Virgil came back with Remy after a while with an idea. "You should go back to them, you deserve to be happy. Go on that date with Patton and have fun, if you need it there is emergency cash in my computer's setup just unscrew the big box thing." He says sadly clearly not wanting me to leave. "You deserve to be happy too Virgil," I tell him calmly. "It doesn't really matter what you believe we have made our choices. Remy do it." He says with a slight grimace. And suddenly the I fall unconscious.
I awaken on the floor in Virgil's panic room with a note beside me and Patton sobbing over me. "You're here you're really here! I can't believe it and my answer to your letter is yes a thousand times yes!" He says once he realizes I have woken up. "Screw it I love you too Logan, I love you so much." He pulls me up, I have a moment of worry thinking that he was Deceit but Deceit couldn't have made me feel this way.
"So about that date?" He asks me with a smile as he sits up so that he is sitting on my upper pelvis. "Would tonight be alright with you?" I ask him lightly brushing his hair behind his ear as it had fallen in front of his face. "Yeah, but you had better not get kidnapped again or I will have to hurt somebody." He tells me holding my hand to his face. "Don't worry, I will be fine I just want you to be safe and happy." I tell him with a gentle smile. "Can we snuggle until Roman wakes up?" He asks giggling lightly. "That would be satisfactory," I tell him with a smile as he leads me over to the bed and we curl up on the bed cozily. I can see why people would enjoy his hugs he is very gentle yet holds you tightly and his body appears to run a few degrees higher than average making him feel comfortably warm.
I do not recall when I fell asleep but I woke up to Roman screaming. "You are here oh my God where is Virgil?" He doesn't know yet, this is going to be bad for his emotional state. "He isn't here, however you should have a letter from him. I am very sorry." I tell him apologetically. "No, but you came back he should be here too!" He says starting to sob. "He forced me to go and have him be the one to stay, only one of us was allowed to go and he wanted me to be the one to go." I am not much of a liar as I don't typically have any reason to do so however this seemed like an appropriate time for lying. "B-b-but what about Virgil?" He asks quietly. "Don't worry Logie will help us find him," Patton says with a reassuring smile. "That should be rather easy as I know where he is," I say without realizing it. "WHERE?" Shouts Roman rather aggressively. "He will likely be in my treehouse," I tell him out of fear that he will retaliate. "Then that's where we are going, Logan you too. And when we have got him I swear to God I am going to kill Shadow." Roman says as we set off to the treehouse. After they put on their suits of course. I text Virgil as we head there with an apology and a warning.

"Virgil!" Roman says as he bursts in, and I realize that Virgil hasn't seen my text. He spins around wearing all but the mask component of his costume. "Virgil?" Patton says starting to cry. "No this isn't Virgil it must be Deceit," Roman says in a very matter of fact tone. "Yesssss and I ssssimply wanted to ssssssssurprisssssse Shadow," Virgil responds hissing. "Then why do you look like my dark strange son?" Patton asks. "Imagine how worried he would be if he ssssssssaw hissssssss prissssoner in hisssssss cosssssstume." He says mischievously. "Well, then this is for Princey." Patton says before punching Virgil and causing him to fall unconscious. "Damn Pat I didn't think that you could do that," Roman says with a rather large grin. "Was it a bad thing?" Patton asks worriedly. "God no, that was freaking awesome!" Roman exclaims comforting him. "I will take care of him, you two can head back to Virgil's house." I tell them gesturing to the unconscious Virgil. "Okay, I can't wait for later!" Patton squeals dragging Roman out with him.
I decide to stay with Virgil and simply say that he got away before I could bring him into police custody. I lay him on the bed that I have set up in here and sit at my desk awaiting his return to consciousness.
"Where am I?" I hear a voice softly say. "You are in the treehouse and now that you have awakened I shall be running some tests on you, with your consent of course." I state grabbing my sachel of medical supplies. "Sure, fine, whatever." He says brushing it off. "Alright please do let me know if any of this causes a banding headache of a headache at the point of impact." I ask him before shining a light in his eyes to check his pupillary response, delayed as I expected. "Alright now, would you read these for me?" I ask him handing a couple of cue cards that the writing gradually gets smaller on. "Okay? You good fahm? Fracture a femur, still hate that saying. And I can't read this one too blurry." He says with a very slight slur. "Good to note, now I just have a few quick questions for you. First, let us do an easier one. What is your name?" I decide to start with something very easy so I can properly gauge his abilities. "Virgil Gelisah." He responds after a few seconds, 2.7 exactly. "Next question, where are we?" I say slowly to make sure he understands the question. "Your treehouse, you were the one who told me." That's good his memory doesn't seem to have been impacted greatly. "Well then Virgil, I am diagnosing you with a concussion. Try to avoid exerting yourself physically or mentally, avoid using technology and rest as much as possible." I tell him beginning to pack up my things. "Well if that's it then have fun on your date with Patton." He says with a smirk.

"Just because you are upset that the boy you love is the same one who you have been fighting for years does not for one moment mean that it is acceptable to poke fun at Patton and I!" I say rather annoyed at his sardonic slight. "I was being sincere, you two are just meant to be." He responds sheepishly. "Then I apologize for acting as I did. Now as much as I enjoy your company I must go prepare for my date." I tell him putting my medical care supplies bag into its cabinet. "It isn't even 1 yet why do you need to go?" He asks confusedly. "Because I need to do research on courtship, and on how to prepare for a date plainly as it should have been rather obvious. "Makes sense maybe Roman can help you, and could I ask you a favour?" He asks nervously, I nod. "I am never actually going to be able to not be the villain, so please tell him how I feel about him." He says almost as a demand instead of a question. I have a solution to this in my pocket, chloroform. I move swiftly so that he has no opportunity to escape. He quickly falls unconscious in my arms and change him before bringing him home.
"Hey, Logan how's it- oh my God Virgil! Patton shouts. "Virgil where? My dark angel is finally home." Roman says as he runs in and begins to cry a fair amount. "He appears to have been knocked unconscious with chloroform. However, he has not sustained any injury aside from a mild concussion due to the fact that I couldn't catch him." I state calmly. Patton pulls me close to him and kisses me passionately yet gently. "You could have died! But you saved your best friend, you are so lucky that I love you right now." He says, a few tears running down his face. "Knowledge is power." I remind him with a small kiss on his forehead. "You two need to chill. And is it okay if I stay with him until he wakes up?" Roman says smiling yet still crying. "That would be beneficial for him and you should likely stay with him after he wakes up too if we have yet to return. His return does also mean though that we should return to school tomorrow." I say lightly as he appears rather emotional. "I won't leave his side, and that sounds like a nice idea." He says smiling. "I am going to bake for a bit you two have fun," Patton says running to the kitchen. "Alright let's plan your date then," Roman says with a kind grin.

8 424Leslie's Poems
This is a continuous collection of poems that I've written in chronological order, starting with the oldest and ending with the newest. This will be updated periodically and may have mass updates. More often than not, each poem either will be written in free verse or with zero adherence to traditional poem structure. Some poems may imply situations and actions that can be triggering or annoying, especially the earlier poems. I recommend skipping most of the ones from 2018-2019, or just not reading this at all if you feel it may hurt you. Please enjoy and read at your own discretion.
