Draco had begun explaining to Hermione why he had taken her from Malfoy Manor "I haven't told the order that I found you yet, I'm sure they'll be happy to know you're safe"
Hermione nodded. She hadn't said a lot since she'd arrived.
"I'll tell them as soon as it's safe to make contact" He explained. He knew how much Hermione had been through and he tried not to bother her much. Even though she was in his bedroom instead of the other spare.
"Why are you being nice to me Malfoy?" Hermione's voice cracked.
"I've been horrible for too long" Draco replied, but before Hermione could say any more he walked out.
Not long after, Draco felt his left forearm burn.
"Oi Draco, do we have a mission or something?" Theo asked from the couch.
Malfoy shook his head keeping his thoughts to himself.
"Do we need alcohol?" Theo continued.
"No we do not, now get something other than your boxers on and let's go."
"But life is so freeing this way."
"robes.on.now," Draco argued, Theo mocked him in a weird voice and ran to his room.
Draco waited patiently for Theo to be out of sight until he made his way to the bedroom that Hermione was laying in.
"Granger, I need you to promise me you won't leave this room until I come back."
Hermione nodded, confused "Why?"
"I think they've realised you're gone," Draco fumbled with something on the dresser "if there's an emergency this is a portkey, hold your hand on it for 10 seconds and it will take you someplace safe."
"What's going to happen?" Hermione's face grew with worry.
Draco drew a breathe "I don't know, but you'll be fine here."

"okay" her voice was unsteady.
Draco placed his hand on hers and looked into her frightened eyes "I promise".
Draco left the room and met Theo Nott, fully dressed, beside the door.
They disapparated to Malfoy Manor where everyone was so silent you could hear a pin drop.
Draco made his way up the room to stand beside the Dark Lord himself "Whats happened?" he asked, knowing full well what had happened.
"The mudblood has escaped, Draco" Voldemort's cold breathe could be seen as he spoke.
"Wh- But how? I thought she was being guarded?" Draco lied.
"Apparently Rowle didn't do a good enough job" Bellatrix sniggered from behind him.
"Where is he?" Draco's mind raced to think the worst. What if Rowle had seen Granger? Or knew Draco hadn't meant to be there.
"When we found him his memory from the night had been wiped" Bellatrix cackled "Taken out by a filthy mudblood, imagine"
A look of surprise crossed Draco's face, he knew he hasn't used legilimency on Rowle.
He Who Must Not Be Named hissed sharply as he twirled his wand between his long, pale, fingers "Rowle will be dealt with."
Draco turned to the Dark Lord "What do we have to do my lord."
"We need to find out how she got out"
Draco nodded "I'll look into it." He felt eyes lingering on him before he took his leave.
Draco had almost made it to the door when he felt a cold hand grab his arm and pull him into a nearby room.
"I know what you did," Pansy Parkinson whispered to him and released him from her firm grasp.
