Dexter was cuddled up on the bed like the grestest boy he was. Hermione was getting ready to go to a nice little lunch gathering with a few of her friends. Draco had invited Harry, Blaise, Pamsy and Ginny under the sole condition that she couldn't tell Ron. Draco made an unbreakable, he was not going to take any chances.

"I always loved the way green made you look." Draco admitted finishing putting on his shoes.

Hermione turned around with a smirk worthy of a Malfoy, "you love me in everything and nothing."

"ok yeah that's true but specifically green." he stood uo taking her hand in his, "ready to go?"

She nodded, she was so excited to go to a new restaurant with her amazing boyfriend and friends. After thst they were going to go to the movies and it would just be a perfect evening.

Harry threw her a small piece of bread laughing, "You're awful Mione."

Hermione smiled at him brighly, "it was funny."

Blaise rolled his eyes playfully bumping shoulders with Harry. The waitress came back with their dessert. Draco perked up seeing his very chocolaty cake. Hermione laughed Kissing his cheek softly. She looked down at her strawberry cheese pie, gods this restaurant was amazing.

She looked up at her friends laughing and having a good time together. One minute she was smiling at them, the next everything went dark.

"with the potion i made it should buy us more tine to look for solutions." Blaise informed Draco trying to calm him. They had all gone to st. Mungos in a frnatic panic. Everyone stared at Draco but he did his best explaining to Hermione's doctor what had happened. Blaise went in trying to help explaining things about the potion.

They waited impatiently, the doctor came out with a grim expression on his face. Draco felt his heart shatter into a million pieces as he heard what the doctor had to say. "there's still something we could do but it has a very small percentage of working out." The group erupted frantically, everyone trying to tell the doctor that they would do anything. "we need a donor."

Harry raised his hand first, "I'll do it. I'll - I'll give her mine."

"what? No, I'll be her donor." Ginny said stepping forward.

The doctor put his hand up quieting them up, "I'll cast a spell on any of you that would like to donate your heart for miss Granger to see if you're compatible."

Drsco, Harry and Ginny placed themselves in front of the doctor who casted the spell. All of them made the light red.

Blaise let go of Pansy's hand and stepped up, the same result.

"I have an idea." Ginny said running off.

Not five minutes passed when a few people trinkled in ready to see if they were compatible.

Draco paced back and forth watching as everyone's light turned red. All except for the one of a hooded figure.

Harry was the one to rip the hood off of that person, it was none other than Ronald Weasley.

"no, there has to be someone else." Draco mumbled.

Ron rolled his eyes, "You're just jealous that I'm compatible and that I'll save her life, not you."

Blaise stood up, "we're loosing more time."

Ron gave Ginny a letter and a small smile, "let me repay what I did. Let me fix the heart I broke."

Ginny teared up, "mum's going to kill you."

They hugged tightly before Harry joined in. Draco watched them as if everything was in slow motion. He watched the tears roll down their faces as Ron was taken away.

Hermione opened her eyes and groaned weakly at the bright light shining on her face. She closed them back up immediately.

When she woke up again she felt a hand in hers. She squeezed it after she felt a familiar ring.

A doctor was called in to check on her.

It had been nearly a month before Hermione showed any activity at all. Draco was told that it would take some time to get all the curse out of her. Buckets of black poison had come out of her for weeks.

When she squeezed his hand he forgot how to breathe before he regained control to call the doctors.

After they finished checking her he was allowed to go back in. Hermione gave him a small weak smile as he walked in.

He returned the smile sitting down next to her bed and kissing her hand softly. "how am i-"

Draco hushed her, "not right now. We can get into details once you've healed completely." Hermione pouted. "I don't want to say something that sets your healing back."

"fine but I need to know."

Draco kissed her forehead, "you will my love."
