Austin Silver POV

I got a job!

I smirk down at my phone and reply back as I notice Danny looking at me with a grin as he keeps watch.

"What the fuck you looking at?" I ask him, annoyed and he shrugs.

He shakes his head and turns to hide his smug ass grin from me as I reply back. "I just never seen you smile so much before man, it's creeping the fuck out of me." He says and I ignore the comment and type back a reply.

that's great, where at?

As I wait for a reply I tap my foot impatiently. Ever since I initiated my interest in this young woman, I can't help but wonder where this is going, I'm interested in her, but I don't know what for yet.

She's beautiful, not a statement but a fact. From the intel I had received on the outside from my men, who have kept tabs on her for me, she is not short of male attention, which she is totally oblivious to.

But I know now the only man in her life that she gives a damn about is her little brother, Max.

Since I anonymously gave her that money, we had been keeping in contact almost daily, she's fresh air in my dull boring life inside of a prison cell, it's almost becoming stuffy sticking around in here, and ever since I began to think about this the more I begin to wonder what I'm still doing here when I could meet her face to face and explore this new... feeling of mine for this woman.

My shit burner buzzes and I got a reply from Rose.

Rose: It's sort of embarrassing but the pay is good and I won't have to work three jobs, also I get to work normal hours, it's a place called Lust, have you heard of it?

I frown when I read the word 'Lust', of course, I've heard of it, it's a club in town, it's not a place for her, it's full of loose women and fucking perverts, the thought of her being in that shithole makes my skin crawl and my hands sweat.

I fucking own the club, partly. I could fire her but what would that fucking fix? She needs money and the only way to get that is from a job, a stable one.

I look up to Danny and he turns and looks at me curiously. "Does your bro still needs help in his shop?" I ask him and Danny shrugs.

"No idea man, last I heard yeah, my niece just got into college so he's probably still looking, why?" He asks and I think seriously about what I'm going to say next, making sure no one else hears me but Dan.

"Hey man, if it's.. you know, why not just offer her something? Like a deal." He suddenly says and I frown.

"Shut your fucking mouth, not happening!" I say as I glare in his direction and he just shrugs, going back to being a lookout.

I'm not going to fucking use her as a whore for my pleasure, she deserves more respect than anyone right now, I refuse to think about such filthy shit, I expected more from Danny, but that's why I'm the boss and not someone like him, piece of shit.

I don't need to fucking pay women to give me attention.

My phone buzzes and I forgot to text back.

Are you still there? You're probably judging me now.. I will only be working the front desk, not dancing... I have two left feet.. and I definitely don't want to embarrass myself!!

I sigh out and reply back.

it's fine, altho I have a proposal for u, I'm currently out of town.. and I could use someone to look after my place for a while, u in? i will pay u for ur time ofc

I tap my feet nervously and hit send, Danny hints at me to speed it up as we hear the footsteps of the guards walk towards the electric gate to the cell block.

Her reply comes instantly.

Like a job? But you don't even know me, I could be a serial killer or a house robber! Or is this a bigger plot to befriend me than murder me!?

I snort at her wild imagination and type a quick reply.

yea, gotta go, msg u later with info

I turn my phone off and hide it back in the wall, quickly putting the brick in I see the new fish guard stare at me suspiciously to which I just stare at him as I sit on the floor beside the wall, hiding the hole as I slowly push the brick further inside.

The guard keeps moving and Danny looks at me and breathes out, stressed yet he laughs when he sits on the edge of my bed. "Dude, I'm telling you we gotta cut our losses in here." He says and I hum.

Trust me, I'm beginning to think about it. But if I left here, I could put Rose and Max in danger, I need to wait and cut my losses in here before I make a move.

I can break from this place easily, but first I need to get rid of three people.

John Bishop, the warden. Toby, the piece of shit who tested my patience for the last time, and last but not least, my biggest mistake I let get out of control, Rocco Russi.

Walking into the yard has to be the biggest highlight to any prisoner who is kept inside 6 out of the 7 days a week, we only get an hour but that hour alone determines everything you ever did on the outside and on the inside.

This yard is either the beginning of your career or your swift end, it happens that fast that not even I can predict it when it happens, prison changes your perspective and most importantly, your goals.

I scan the crowd till my eyes land on Benny Jr's who is staring at me, he nods his head in the direction of the tool shed, next to the yard on the left side of the prison, where prison workers keep their tools.

I nod back and leave the table with my men as I walk past the groups of prisoners watching me walk past them without a care in the world until I stand in front of one of my men, who are guards.

I get handcuffed and led out the yard, but in the direction of the shed, the yard behind me grows quiet as they all know what is about to go down.

Someone was missing in the yard, everyone noticed and everyone knew who had taken him, it was silent yet an obvious abduction, and everyone knew who was behind it.

Me.

The cuffs come off me once one of my men unhook me and I open the door to the shed, I slowly walk inside and see Toby, tied to a chair in the middle of the shed with a blindfold on, his legs and arms are bound.

Just as I instructed, he came to me in peak physical conditions, not a single scrape on his skin, I wanted that pleasure for myself, after all, he has been a bug for a while now and bugs tend to get squashed after buzzing in your face for a while, it's inevitable, it's how the world works.

I close the door behind me and walk over to Toby to take the blindfold off, when I do I'm met with dark chocolate brown eyes as they look up to me in terror.

"Miss me?" I say bending down to be on his level.

His eyes grow hard and he's trying to say something but the gag in his mouth stops him from speaking, whatever he has to say I don't want to fucking hear it.

I sigh and stand back up, turning to the workbench full of tools ready for picking. "I used to fix cars with my old man, I was fucking good at it too, mainly bikes but sometimes I would fix cars, it was shit pay but I had fun, I worked hard and it paid off in the end." I say deeply as I hold a wrench in my arms and examine it.

Toby mumbles loudly and I ignore it as I pick up a sharp blade. "Hard work got me here Toby, I don't blame you for trying to take my place, honestly, well done for attempting." I say chuckling as I turn to Toby and see his eyes begin to water as he sits, tears staining his face as tears fall from his eyes. I move to stand around him and then I lean down to his ear.

"You're not the first and you won't be the last Toby, no hard feelings, it's just.. well, business." I whisper in his ear before I grab and pull his hair back, making his head lean back to look at me in the eyes, then I move my arm swiftly towards the front of his chest and then I stab him, the knife goes through his chest, I twist the knife hard, the sound of him choking on blood makes my skin crawl.

I watch as the life fades from his tear-soaked eyes as his eyes never leave mine, until the very last moment, until I know he is indeed dead.

I release my grip on his hair and move away from him and run my fingers through my hair as I lean against the wood wall and stare as blood begins to drip from the chair onto the stone floor.

I hate blood, when I was younger I couldn't stand to see a single drop, it's messy and stains everything, almost impossible to get rid of once it gets on your clothes, a single drop could ruin anything.

I've killed so many people and ruined so many lives to get to where I am today, and as I lean against the wall and watch the blood drip onto the floor, I can't help but think of a future where I didn't have to do this shit anymore, a completely new Austin, where no one knows my name and it's just me and...

I stop myself right there, they are false hope thoughts of a mad man, a man unworthy. Perhaps prison has made me go mad? I'm fixating on a random girl that I met through coincidence and now I can't seem to get her out of my mind, she riddles with thoughts with hope, something I haven't thought possible, not for someone like me.

After all, it's only a matter of time until Rose Clark finds out who I really am and what I have done, all it takes is a single search to know that Austin Silver is the biggest crime boss in the world.

I have thousands of people in every city working for me, willingly because I get shit done and make a difference in this shit show we call life, the people that you should trust, city officials, your government, and military, they call me a criminal, but aren't we all?

The door opens to the shed and I sigh heavily and move from the wall and wipe my hands clean on a rag resting on the bench beside me, I watch Rick enter and nod towards me then he looks at Toby.

"All good boss?" He asks.

I throw the rag on Toby's lifeless body and walk towards the door where Rick stands. "Inform Red, 1 week." That is all I say before I walk out of the shed and straight to the edge of the building until I see the yard coming into view, another one of my men who is in a guard's uniform waits for me and puts the cuffs back on.

I begin to walk back to the yard, thinking of the days that are coming. One week, the perfect amount of time to finish my business inside of Crowshore. One down and two more to go, the Warden is going to be executed tonight on his way home from the prison, he is going to be robbed at gunpoint then shot, I have one of my best men on the job so I know it's going to go perfect.

Lastly is Russo, he comes in a few days and before he steps foot in this fucking prison he's going to have a nice welcoming to his new home, one that isn't going to be home for long.

I had regretted little in my life, but once the feds show up asking questions about names I know quite well, it's not good for business, he is the only link that could be singing, he's not one of us, he hasn't sunk that deep into the darkness to truly belong, he's a visitor and his pass is revoked, if it's not me killing him, someone will come and he will be dealt with, one way or another.

Snitches in my world don't last long, and Russo is about to find that out.
