As night quickly approached leah was sat on her bed. The evening way a long one, another long one as it was every night. This night particularly sent her to her room rather early. Klaus attempted once again to get into her bed which she obviously hadn't wanted.

As she sat on her bed her feet dangling from the floor her breathing hard as she called herself down. Although as she called herself she heard a knock on her bedroom door. Opening the door She grew impatient at the man stood in front of her.

"What is it Niklaus?" She spoke sighing and he smiled at her foolishly.

"I made you something," he spoke moving a rather large painting from beside him as she moved him walking into her room.

"Niklaus, I assure you I do not need-"

"Look at it," he said and she only looked confused and moved the sheet from over it.

Inspecting it closely she noticed the painting a small gasp leaving her mouth. Her hand gently brushed the top of the painting and her husband smiled.

"Do you remember?" He spoke and she nodded watching the painting lovingly.

"182o," she spoke and he watched her with a smile.

"It was the year when we where living in the governors home," he said earning a nod from her.

"I remember, it was the day of Emil's funeral, the day we met Marcellus," she spoke and he nodded with a small smile.

"You watched so lovingly as he would play in the yard after you'd fed him, and then you watched him from the window worried."

"That is one of my favourite moments."

"I watched as you looked out the window a beautiful smile on your face, as you adored the young boy play in our compound."

"How do you.."

"How do I have this? Well my love that image of your happiness would never leave my mind, I've worked on it for months after you left."

"It is beautiful," she spoke watching him happiness in her eyes.

"It is only beautiful because you are beautiful," he said his hand under her chin leaning in to kiss her.

Instead of kissing him she took a deep breath and shook her head, causing him to pull away.

"I told you Niklaus, I will not forgive you, until Joy does," she spoke and he nodded with a small smile.

"I will respect your wish, but I love you my darling," he spoke his voice tender and full of emotion, Leah hadn't seen him like this in a long time.

"I know Nik, I do too," she spoke as she wrapped her arms around his chest, his heart beating much faster.

"I made one for Joy," he spoke and she smiled At him.

"I wouldn't give it to her as of now-"

"Yes I know dear she might just tear it apart," he spoke his voice dull his words holding sadness.

"She will forgive you, although she can hold grudge," she said to him and he nodded.

He stood next to her as she watched the painting once again, taking his large hand into her smaller hand she didn't move straight away. Smiling at her a look showing her he was in love with her. Seconds later she moved her hand out from his, and he watched her his gaze sad.

Joy stood outside her mothers door watching her mother and father. She hated the fact that her mother wouldn't talk to him unless she would. As much as she hated him she knew how much her mother loved him. Clearing her throat the two turned to face her.

"Hey darling, what's wrong?" Her mother spoke distancing the gap from Klaus who watched her pained.

"Nothing, I just wanted to check on you, you seemed upset after dinner," She said with a shrug standing by her mother who put her arm around her with a small smile.

"I'm fine my love," she spoke as her daughter watched the painting in awe.

"Is that you?" Joy said asking her mother and she nodded.

"It was your mother in the 1820's," klaus spoke and the girl only awkwardly nodded, disliking his presence.

"You look beautiful mom," she said and her mother smiled at her lovingly.

"The painting is rather beautiful, right Joy, your dad painted it."

"Mom, he is not my dad," she spoke her Words escaping her mouth bitterly.

"Joy of course he is-"

"No, mom he's my father, a dad and a father are two very different things, a dad would teach his daughter how to ride a bike, how to paint, and make his daughter laugh, him and I are only related biologically!"

"Joy, I am truly sorry for all the pain I've caused you," Klaus spoke watching his daughter his head hung in Shame.

"I know how Mikael treated you differently from all your siblings, I know the stories of how you vowed to be a better father than him, how you would love your children unlike him, the way he treated you is the way you've treated me, I waited for you, you knew where we lived, it wasn't like we jumped from City to city or continent to continent, we stayed and I waited for you, all you needed to do was be my dad, I didn't ask for anything else," she said holding her tears falling from her eyes.

"Joy-" he spoke cutting her off and She shook her head.

"I've become so horrible and evil, the days I decide to turn into my wolf I kill, I slaughter hundreds of people, but I was not born like this you made me into this, She's the daughter you love, your darling innocent Hope, and I'm the daughter you barely know, maybe there was a time you knew me as your daughter, there Where moments where you loved me as an infant, there Where times all I needed you to do was BE MY DAD!" She spoke pain in her voice her eyes teary as she moved away from him before continuing. "But even then you hated me, didn't you? I want you to look me in the eyes and tell me why."

Klaus only turned walking towards the door away from her causing her to get angry at her fathers and slam the door shut with a wave of her hand.

"LOOK AT ME AND ANSWER MY QUESTION!" She shouted as her turned to look her.

"I do not hate you, I never have."

"THEN WHY TREAT ME LIKE YOU DO?"

"BECAUSE I DID NOT WANT TO FAIL YOU, I DIDN'T WANT YOU TO BECOME WHAT I AM, I DIDN'T WANT TO FAIL YOU AS I DID YOUR MOTHER!"

"That's not an excuse because all you needed to do is look after me like you did with Hope, I was seven, I wasn't okay with never seeing you, I thought no matter what happens you wouldn't leave me, you where my best friend after Hope, my dad, you have no ideA how much this has hurt me, I was stuck in a dark place for a long time because of you, and you care soo little about me."

"I wasn't afraid to mess up with Hope, you where the one I was afraid I'd hurt, the moment I found out about you a thousand years ago I was afraid but I care about you so much, to the point I had to let you go, you where happy with your mother, I saw it when you would talk to your uncle Kol, There was once I was sat in the same room and i could hear the smile on your voice, I couldn't break your heart too, not like I did your mother's so I had to let you go!"

"The only thing you taught me to do as a child was to mix paint the day I met you, you called me your princess, I waited years for you to tell me you loved me, I waited years, but you didn't come," she spoke crying, Niklaus watched her his tears falling from his face to.

"Joy, you must understand that in my experience fathers cause pain, whether by there presence or there absence there's a ruin only I could have inflicted upon you, and you, you where such a sweet little girl, you are a sweet little girl, perhaps I was always bound to leave you broken."

"You think I'm broken perhaps you're right, maybe that little girl you knew would have been better off if she hadn't loved you at all," she said her eyes watery and her face holding pain as she slammed the for open.

"You can go now," his daughter spoke as she looked away from her father.

"Joy please," he spoke his voice begging as the tears flew from his face.

"YOU CAN GO!" She shouted shoving him out the room and he sped away.

"Joy?" Her mother spoke her eyes watery and her face wet she had t seen her daughter in this much pain.

"Mom, I... I," she started but couldn't get put her words her sons getting louder and louder.

"It's fine my love it's fine," leah spike rushing to her pain evident in her voice as she hugged her crying daughter.

"I'm sorry mom, I'm so sorry," she spoke and her mother looked at her wiping her face.

"Why on earth are you sorry?"

"Because it's my fault you can't be happy with dad," she said crying and her mother shook her head.

"Stop being ridiculous my daughter, I love you and I wouldn't change anything," she spoke and her daughter nodded her head not believing her at all.

After half an hour later Joy went to her room and Leah picked up the painting to hang it on her room. She pulled the stool out and stood as she attempted to hang it up.

"Heels and standing on a stool will not work out love," Klaus spoke his voice soft.

Leah was startled by his voice and lost her balance falling from the stool.

"I told you heels where a bad idea."

"Thank you," she spoke standing to her feet and out of his arms.

"Aunt can some friends-" Hope started and noticed he was stood with his wife and his eyes widened. "I am so sorry, I'll uh just, I'm going to leave."

Leah only watched her with a small chuckle as she quickly left.

"Hope and her bad timing," Klaus muttered and she chuckled. "I'll hang it for you."

Taking the painting out of her hands he hung it up swiftly. She watched him as he turned around facing her. As he walked closer to her she gulped nervously.

"I'll see you later," she spoke swiftly with a nervous smile and he nodded

"I'll see you my love," and with that he was out the room looking back at her once again.

Leah sighed the moment he left her room and made her way to the room where Hope was sat on her phone.

"Any progress with your sister, I'm actually still surprised you have a sister," a voice spoke coming from her phone.

"No, and I really want her to forgive me, I get what I did was wrong and Landon she's so beautiful, my sister is gorgeous."

"If she's anything like you I have no doubt she's pretty, and if she is like you, forgiveness is going to be a bitch."

Hope only laughed knowing her sister was like her. Leah smiled knowing the sisters where alike. Knocking the door she walked into to see a smiling Hope on the phone to her boyfriend.

"Hey, I can come back if you want," leah spoke her voice above a whisper and Hope shook her head putting her phone on mute.

"No, no aunt I just wanted to ask if a few friends can come over for a few days?" She asked and Leah nodded.

"Of course darling, we can pick them up from either the bus station or the airport," she spoke with a smile.

"No way, is that your sisters mom, she is hot!" A female voice said from hopes phone and her aunt laughed.

"I am so sorry-"

"It's fine darling, let them know they're welcome anytime."

She only smiled at her and she nodded with a grin and Leah smiled at her leaving the room. Running into Joy who had on a shirt covering herself.

"Wolfed out?" Leah asked her daughter who nodded with a small smile.

"I needed it," she spoke and her mom nodded in agreement.

"Darling, some of your sisters friends from her school are coming over for in a few days and I would like it if you wouldn't-"

"You don't want me to be a bitch, because precious Hope can't be embarrassed by her sister, don't worry mom I won't embarrass her," Joy spoke her voice annoyed as she turned away.

"No, hey hey come back here," her mother spoke demanding and she turned to look at her mom.

"I love you so much, right but you're not allowed to speak to me like that I am still your mother, I'm not telling you to be nice I'm asking you to be civil," she spoke and Joy sighed with a nod.

"I'm sorry, but fine," she spoke walking upstairs away from her mother.

A few moments later the front door knocked and Leah was confused at who else would be coming over at these times. Opening the door she smiled a wide one and Joy screaming a happy one.

"Sebastian what are you doing here?" Leah asked as the dark haired man stood in front of her with a bouquet of roses.

"It's been a while, these are for you," he spoke kissing her on the cheek and she only smiled taking them from his hand.

"BASS! Joy shouted with a small and he grinned at her.

"Hey kiddo how are you?" He asked and she grinned at him.

"Could be better, I painted you another painting and it's so much better than the last," she spoke and he gave her her favourite lillies and she grinned at him "Mom I'll leave you to it."

"Can I come in then?" He spoke and she nodded with a grin.

"I missed you," she spoke and he smiled at her walking closer to her.

"I missed you too, god I missed you so much," he spoke his voice breathless as he came closer to her his lips inches from hers.

As her lips touched his she kissed one. A kiss full of passion and it showed how much they missed each other. He could feel her smile on their kiss and someone cleared their throat.

"Niklaus I erm-" she started as she cleared her throat.

"Who are you?" Asked a confused Sebastian watching the man standing in front of his girl friend in a protective motion.

"My name is Klaus Mikaelson," he said walking towards him speaking proudly.

"You're Joys father aren't you, you look like her around the eyes," Sebastian spoke and Klaus smirked.

"Get out, and if you don't co operate, Seb around the eyes, I'm going to start removing your limbs one by one," Klaus spoke pointing around Jax's eyes and smirked at him.

"I haven't seen my girlfriend in a long time, and I figured it was because Joy's father done a number on her and she was afraid of comment but since you're obviously so amazing so it couldn't have been you who broke her and Joys heart," Sebastian spoke his voice sarcastic.

"DONT speak my daughters name!" Klaus spoke getting angrier and angrier.

"Look at your daughter right now," Sebastian spoke and he turned to see his daughter holding a painting of Alexander in her hand. "I'm here for her, her birthdays, Holidays, and Christmas, I've been teaching her how to drive after the incident, where there hell have you been."

Klaus only Grabbed him and vamp sped to a wall gripping his by his shirt and Slammed him against the wall.

"You are utterly disposable," Klaus said as Leah shouted at Klaus.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

"Seriously, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?" Joy shouted pushing her father back his back hitting the wall behind him.

"I, I'm sorry Joy," he spoke his voice stuttering.

"Go away, no one even wants you here right now," Joy spoke as her father sped away watching her in shame.

"Are you okay?" Leah asked him worried and he nodded.

"I'm fine my Angel, should've told me he was in town," Sebastian spoke as Leah touched his cheek lovingly.

"I wasn't sure you'd still want to know, after our last argument."

"And I'm sorry about that, because I have missed you so much," he spoke and she grinned at him.

"I missed you too," she said wrapping her arms around him.

"Anyways Bass this is for you, I painted it myself," Joy spoke proudly and he examined the painting with a smile.

"It's amazing kiddo, you did a good job," he spoke and she smiled.

"Are you staying over?" Joy spoke asking the man she's known her whole life.

"Not today it seems like you guys have your hands full," he spoke and she nodded with a smile.

"Leah, I'll see you soon," Sebastian spoke as he kissed her cheek and walked out. "See you soon Joy, love the painting." Joy only grinned as he walked out.

"Night mom," Joy spoke a smile on her face and she smiled at her daughter.

"Goodnight darling," she spoke as her seventeen year old walked up with a smile.

"Im taking it by the roses and the broken walls and vases, Sebastian came over and Nik saw him," Rebekah spoke a laughing a Kol behind her.

"Shut up Bexs," Leah spoke narrowing her eyes at him.

"If you had to chose who would you say is better in bed-" Kol starter and she threw a shoe at him and he only ducked laughing as he ran upstairs.

"KOL ILL KILL YOU!" She shouted behind him and he only laughed louder.

Leah rolled her eyes think about it since she'd never actually slept with him, at first they where strictly Friends and only recently got together. She hadn't really wanted to think about getting into bed with another man, disgusted by the thought of betraying the man she actually loved.
